The present study presents a hybrid approach to the evaluation of decision-making in the context of sustainable development, combining the methods of Multicriteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) Combined Compromise Solution (CoCoSo) and Simple Aggregation of Preferences Expressed by Ordinal Vectors – Principal Components (SAPEVO-PC). The objective was to create a ranking of 153 countries, considering 14 essential criteria in the environmental, social, and economic dimensions. The methodology employed allows an integrated analysis of these criteria, reflecting the concept of Triple Bottom Line. The results revealed Japan, Sweden, and Finland as the best-positioned countries, indicating the effectiveness of their sustainable policies and practices. In recent years, we can observe the growth in the number of investors in the financial market. This work seeks to improve the decision-making process in real estate investment funds (Brazilian REITs). To this end, a literature review was carried out in the Scopus database using bibliometrix to analyze the applications of the multicriteria decision aid (MCDA) in the environment of Brazilian REITs, as a result, it was possible to analyze a greater approach to studies on the toma in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and China. The study was promising because it opens new possibilities of approach and opportunities to cover applications, seeking to explore and use MCDA methods to provide support at all stages of the decision-making process. The literature review was used as a basis for structuring the problem and defining the application of the hybrid PSI-CoCoSo method for ordering Brazilian REITs in the corporate slabs sector traded on the São Paulo stock exchange (B3), the criterion was to address funds that have at least one million reais in daily trading on the stock exchange. Military development is increasingly related to strategic independence and technological advantages, representing an important factor in countries' scientific, technological, and economic development. In this context, the present work proposes a methodology for evaluating the world's military power based on the integration between Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) and Machine Learning. To this end, data from the military, economic, and strategic spheres of 140 countries were analyzed and evaluated considering 12 quantitative variables. Considering the large volume of data to be analyzed and establishing a ranking of countries, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA), an unsupervised Machine Learning technique, was used. PCA allowed the analysis of 140 countries, identifying three factors representing the collective behavior of the 12 original variables, providing a world ranking of military power. The results were compared with specialized rankings on the subject and proved robust and reliable. As a contribution to the academy and society, the authors highlighted that this work fills the gap regarding the application of PCA in military problems to classify the observations, emphasized that the proposed methodology can be replicated in the most diverse problems and serve as input in other MCDM and data science techniques. In addition, the multidisciplinary of PCA allows the technique to support the decision-making process in the most diverse areas of knowledge that involve data analysis in tactical, operational, and strategic problems. This study addresses the complex dynamics of global sustainable development, emphasizing the need for a meticulous assessment of sustainability indicators in 159 countries. Using the Gaussian AHP multi-criteria method and descriptive and exploratory statistical analysis, the research quantifies countries' global performance concerning 18 critical indicators, integrating economic, social, and environmental aspects. The methodology applied allowed the construction of a comparative ranking, highlighting the superiority of nations with robust environmental policies, such as the Nordic countries, in contrast to the challenges faced by developing countries, which show lower scores due to less integrated policies. The results indicate the effectiveness of the Gaussian AHP in identifying leaders and laggards in sustainability, serving as a tool for guiding and building more informed public policies. This paper introduces a computational framework based on the SAPEVO-M method to enhance decision-making processes in complex scenarios. By integrating technological advancements with the SAPEVO-M methodology, the framework facilitates a more efficient, accurate analysis based on multi-criteria decision-making problems. The paper presents a literature background of the methodology and its axiomatic structure, highlighting its capability for decision-making for a group of stakeholders, thus offering favorable improvements as a technological aid for decision-making analysis. The results demonstrate the potential of the framework, providing decision-makers with robust and reliable insights, and making it an invaluable tool in fields requiring complex decision analysis. This study not only contributes a novel and free computational approach to the decision-making literature but also paves the way for future research and development, applying the axiomatic methodology for problem-solving in diverse areas of science, searching for increase and transparency concerning decision-making processes worldwide. Complex environments, conflicting criteria, uncertainties, and inaccurate information are common in many real-world decision problems. The Multicriteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methodology plays a significant role in making decision-making processes more rational, efficient, and effective. In the military sphere, the Armed Forces of several countries have used MCDA methods to select operational means—means of transportation—that the Armed Forces have to carry out operations on the battlefield or in various operational scenarios, contributing to a more robust and informed approach to decision-making. This article aims to present a review of the literature on the main applications of MCDA in the selection of operative means. The methodology includes a bibliometric study and a bibliographic review of documents from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The bibliometric study identified the types of documents, year of publication, H and G indexes of the most relevant journals and authors, authors' publications, affiliation, clusters of keywords, area of knowledge, country, and main applications of the MCDA Methods in this area of research. With the PROSUB program, the Brazilian Navy (MB) has been renewing its feet of submarines. However, this is not a movement that is exclusively Brazilian. With the worsening of crises around the world, many countries are in the process of expanding their armed forces, and coastal nations, in particular, are paying significant attention to their submarine weapons. However, as it is not only convenient to acquire submarines but also to operate them, it is necessary to define from where they will do so. Given the above, this current work aims to present a framework with a multimethodological focus, that is, presenting a combined use of the problem structuring method (PSM) Strategic Choice Approach with the multicriteria method MPSI-MARA. As a result, the ordering of some points along the Brazilian coast, made non-specific, is presented as a suggestion for the implementation of new Submarine Bases and/or Naval Support Stations. Corn crops can be irrigated using surface irrigation methods (furrows, horizontal pots, strips), as well as fixed or mobile sprinklers under canopy and localized irrigation (drip and micro sprinklers). The selection of the most appropriate irrigation method and system for a particular situation depends on an assessment of the available physical resources, such as water supply (quantity, quality and location), soil properties (texture, structure, depth, salinity, drainage, topography, erodibility) and plant climate systems, in which the adaptability of crops to the climatic conditions of each site must be taken into account. In this sense, the objective of this work is to select an irrigation method for a corn plantation in a Local Productive Arrangement (LPA). For this study, six irrigation methods were pre-selected as alternatives, and seven pre-established comparison criteria were unstructured interviews with stakeholders. The solution of the problem was carried out using the Multicriteria Decision Analysis model Simple Aggregation of Preferences Expressed by Ordinal Vectors – Multi Decision Makers (SAPEVO-M). Decision-support methods are crucial for analyzing complex alternatives and criteria in today's data-driven world. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) explores and synthesizes knowledge about decision support methodologies that integrate Multicriteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), an unsupervised Machine Learning (ML) technique. Both techniques optimize complex decisions by combining multiple criteria and dimensional data analysis. Focusing on performance evaluations, criterion weighting, and validation testing, this review identifies significant gaps in existing methodologies. These include the lack of consideration for non-beneficial criteria in PCA, insufficient validation tests in over half of the studies, and the non-use of communalities (the contribution of each criterion to the main factors) in decision support approaches. Additionally, this SLR offers a comprehensive quantitative overview, analyzing data from the Scopus, IEEE, and Web of Science databases and identifying 16 relevant studies. Furthermore, the scarcity of systematic reviews integrating MCDM and PCA techniques impedes evidence-based decision- making practices and theoretical evolution. This is particularly crucial as ML and data analysis advance rapidly, requiring models that reflect technological innovations. The study aims to develop prospective scenarios for post-Covid-19 Brazilian tourism, using the Momentum method. Analysis was limited to tourism sector, since no Brazilian studies focused on this theme were identified, bringing a novelty. Momentum presented as a hybrid model, using scenarios prospective vision. Furthermore, Momentum is associated with multi-criteria decision-making, using THOR 2 and AHP-TOPSIS-2N. It was established three prospective scenarios for tourism in Brazil, as well as four alternative tourism forms, directly linked to these scenarios, for the multi-criteria evaluation. Paper aims: This paper aims to compare the results of the THOR2 Method, in comparison to the original THOR method, and to analyse possible rank changes between the methods, to support decision-making in the evolutionary process of waste recycling in Brazil. Originality; Proposes a revision of the model for analysis of Waste Recycling, highlighting the vision of three decision makers individually, and later the integrated vision. Research method: State of the art of the THOR and THOR2 methods, through an investigation in four databases and comparison using THORWeb. Main findings: As a result of the disposal of plastic waste, reuse, mechanical recycling, chemical and incineration remained in the positions with the consumer as a decision maker. With the other decision makers there was only one significant change, where the landfill went from last to first position. The research envisions the possibility of establishing a connection between education, work and the legal plane, focusing specifically on the prison system. Its objective is to undertake the analysis of the feasibility of education and work as instruments of resocialization of individuals imprisoned in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. The current study was based on the qualitative research approach. To reach the proposed objective, the following methodological resources were selected, namely: bibliographic research; Analysis of written documents, in particular legal and regulatory provisions. Books, articles, theses, dissertations and information available on portals administered by public and private agencies were consulted. Supplementarily, this work counted on the contributions of the researches undertaken by Julião (2007, 2009 and 2012). It is envisaged that the modest contribution of this research is the adoption of an interdisciplinary approach. The notes made throughout the research show that education and work are not yet configured as effective instruments for the resocialization of distressed people. It is hoped that the present study may favor discussions about the resocialization of individuals incarcerated from the actions taken by education and work in the prison environment, allowing the articulation between professionals in the prison administration, education and civil society. Paper aims: This paper aims to select the best helicopter to be acquired by the Brazilian Navy (BN), enabling greater logistical and combat capacity in marine operations. For this purpose, we applied the AHP-TOPSIS-2N, a hybrid multicriteria method composed by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and two normalization procedures (2N). Originality: In this paper, a real military case study is conducted to support the decision-making process in BN, contributing to the better performance of the Brazilian Armed Forces. The application of the methodology resulted in two lists of ordering and prioritization of helicopters, providing transparency and simplicity to the decision-making process. Research method: We analyzed six aircraft models, considering attack helicopters used by the Armed Forces of developed countries, in the light of their operational and tactical criteria. The selected helicopter would be employed in the fire support and reconnaissance, required by the Brazilian Marine Corps Amphibious Operations. Main findings: After the application of the method, the AH-64E APACHE was chosen as the most suitable helicopter to be acquired by the Brazilian Navy. Implications for theory and practice: This study brings valuable contribution to academia and society, since it represents the application of a Multi-criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) method in the state of the art to contribute to the solution of a real problem of the BN. The methodology presented in this paper can notably be used to solve real problems of the most varied types - tactical, operational and strategic - thus being a very useful method for decision-making. This research address practices in projects management application related to Charles Handy's organizational culture typologies. The methodology was conducted via survey best practices in project management uses; being sent electronically. The study is orientated by a literature review regarding the American pragmatic school of organizational culture and the project management practices commonly used by project managers. This study presents as a result, in almost all culture typologies observed, a tendency to concentration using the practice PMBOK project management; although there are strong trend and perceived use about project management practices. The main objective of this study was to carry out an organizational culture diagnosis in a shipyard, verifying the alignment degree between personal and organizational values. For data collection, a structured questionnaire was adopted and it was answered by 104 employees. In this questionnaire, the employees pointed out the main values cultivated by the company and by themselves. The results showed that there is a significant misalignment between organizational and personal values and an organizational culture based on values that aim at the self-interest of the organization and not the common good. The background of this article is to demonstrate the importance of the diagnosis and management of the organizational culture. To provoke a reflection on the importance of a culture that aims at the common good and not only the financial interest for a select group; not as an altruistic thinking, but as a strategy for organizational sustainability. This paper presents an Integer Linear Programming model, which enables the scheduling of agents in call centers according to segmentation by skills, as well as the inclusion of labor law restrictions. The results from the experimental application of this method to situations involving real-time problems are presented, wherein the necessary shifts to meet forecasted demand are provided, in addition to an economically optimum combination of agents and skills, generating a solution, which is sufficient to maintain the desired level of service at the lowest cost possible. The approach proposed in this study presents an alternative worthy of consideration, since it is able to successfully incorporate the flexibility of call centers with skills-based routing in an easy-to-implement model that has proven to be effective in experiments conducted in on-the-job settings. Advances in information technology and telecommunications in recent years have increasingly heightened the presence of call centers in the day-to-day of companies and their customers. Call center management should endeavor to achieve a balance between technical performance and economic performance (labour costs, equipment, trunks and rates). It is estimated that 70% of the operating costs of call centers are currently related to labor costs. Trying to reach a consensus in a negotiation process can be a very complex problem involving multiple agents, conflicting points of view and criteria, pressure groups, etc. In this context imprecision and risk are quite often present. Tools for imprecision analysis and group decision aiding can be thus utilized in order to facilitate achieving a compromise.
