This study explores a novel approach to enhancing cognitive proficiency by targeting neural mechanisms that facilitate science and math learning, especially mental rotation. The study specifically examines the relationship between upper alpha intensity and mental rotation skills. Although prior neurofeedback research for increasing upper alpha highlights this correlation, mostly with familiar objects, novel chemistry and math learning prompts envisioning unfamiliar objects which question the persistence of this correlation. This study revisits the upper alpha and mental rotation relationship in the context of unfamiliar objects with a single neurofeedback session and examines the efficiency of manual and automatic neurofeedback protocols. Results will provide a basis for integrating neurofeedback protocols into learning applications for enhanced learning. Our study encompassed three cohorts: Group 1 experienced an automatic neurofeedback protocol, Group 2 received a manual neurofeedback protocol, and the control group had no neurofeedback intervention. The experimental phases involved EEG measurement of individual upper alpha (frequency of maximal power + 2 Hz) intensity, mental rotation tasks featuring geometric and unfamiliar molecular stimuli, one neurofeedback session for applicable groups, post-treatment upper alpha level assessments, and a mental rotation retest. The neurofeedback groups exhibited increased levels of upper alpha power, which was correlated with improved response time in mental rotation, regardless of stimulus type, compared to the control group. Both neurofeedback protocols achieved comparable results. This study advocates integrating neurofeedback into learning software for optimal learning experiences, highlighting a single session's efficacy and the substantial neurofeedback protocol's impact in enhancing upper alpha oscillations. Purpose of Review: The purpose of this review is to highlight the challenges related to the study of the relationship between social media use and youth mental health and propose a path forward in intervention-focused research. Recent Findings: Recent findings relay the need to conceptualize the effects of social media use on youth mental health in a nuanced way. Unique, discrete social media experiences may either contribute to an individual's well-being, ill-being, or both. Social media use may contribute to well-being for one person, but ill-being for another. Similarly, social media use may contribute to well-being for one person at one point in their life but then contribute to ill-being at a different point in their life. As such, it is difficult to make broad overarching conclusions about this incredibly nuanced relationship. It is a general principle that the minor circuit — as with every civil court in the United Arab Emirates — does not settle cases within its jurisdiction until completion of pleadings by the parties, which usually takes several sessions. However, an exception to this principle has been created under Article 30/1 of the Federal Civil Procedures Law and Articles 22 and 54 of the Regulation of this law. These articles allow the minor circuit to rule upon some cases in a single session. The pleading, adjudication and judgement all take place in this one session, known as a one-day court, launched in the courts of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah in January 2017. This article aims to answer the questions raised about the justification for creating this court, the scope of its jurisdiction, the system for preparing cases before it, and the sufficiency of legal rules regulating challenges to its judgements. Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) is a standard of care for many localizations but the question of the optimal fractionation remains a matter of concern. If single fraction sessions are routinely used for intracranial targets, their utilization for mobile extracranial lesions is a source of debate and apprehension. Single session treatments improve patient comfort, provide a medico-economic benefit, and have proven useful in the context of the SARS-CoV 2 pandemic. However, both technical and radiobiological uncertainties remain. Experience from intracranial radiosurgery has shown that the size of the target, its proximity to organs at risk, tumor histology, and the volume of normal tissue irradiated are all determining factors in the choice of fractionation. The literature on the use of single fraction for extracranial sites is still scarce. Only primary and secondary pulmonary tumors have been evaluated in prospective randomized trials, allowing the integration of these fractionation schemes in daily practice, for highly selected cases and in trained teams. The level of evidence for the other organs is mainly based on dose escalation or retrospective trials and calls for caution, with further studies being needed before routine use in clinical practice.

Schleider and colleagues' paper on the application of single‐session interventions (SSIs) to eating disorders is timely given the broader focus in mental health on flexible approaches to delivering support at the time the person needs it most. The eating disorder field needs to embrace these innovations including developing a "single‐session mindset" with greater attention paid to testing the relevance of SSI for eating disorders. The use of well‐powered trials of brief, focused and rapidly scalable interventions is an ideal vehicle for generation and evaluation of new and longer interventions. Our future research agenda needs to carefully consider our target audience, the primary outcome variable of most relevance, and the SSI topic that would be most likely to effect change. Research in prevention might focus on weight concern and evaluation of SSIs that focus on self‐compassion or cognitive dissonance related to appearance ideals in the media. Work in early intervention could target denial and disordered eating using SSIs on growth mindset, behavioral activation, and imagery rescripting. Treatment waitlists provide another suitable opportunity, evaluating SSIs that aim to increase hope for change, treatment retention, and kick start early change in therapy, a robust predictor of better treatment outcome. Parents should be able to receive parenting support for their child's behavioral issues that are both easy to access and that align with their values. This qualitative report explores the experiences of twenty-six parents with children between 2 and 4 years old who participated in a brief online attachment-based, trauma-informed parenting study. This report is the qualitative component of an eight-week RCT pilot study that evaluated the efficacy of the Aware Parenting program. The cornerstone of the Aware Parenting approach is a playful approach to discipline. Thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews after participation in a brief Aware Parenting program found three key themes emerge: (1) wanting to be the best parent they could be, (2) reframing child behavior, and (3) a brief program is enough. Overall, participants felt satisfied with a single online session and thought the playful discipline strategies were appropriate, effective, and easy to implement. Parents may benefit from the accessibility of a single-session online parenting program, particularly when opportunities to gather in a face-to-face setting are limited. Recommendations from this study include insight into recruitment, engagement, and retention of participants in future studies on brief online attachment-based parenting programs. This study also highlights the need to explore discipline strategies compatible with attachment-based parent education programs. Participants were willing to implement new parenting strategies despite the approach being different from popular parenting practices and different from what they experienced as children. Participants felt that the playful discipline strategies they learned in the Aware Parenting program were an acceptable approach for improving behavior in young children. Objective: Interventional treatments for acute iliofemoral deep vein thrombosis (DVT) remain controversial after publication of the Acute Venous Thrombosis: Thrombus Removal with Adjunctive Catheter-Directed Thrombolysis (ATTRACT) study. Interventions have been shown to reduce post-thrombotic syndrome severity and improve quality of life in DVT patients, but have been accompanied by risk of major bleeding from thrombolytics. We describe thrombus removal using a novel combined basket-rotational thrombectomy device that minimizes the need for thrombolytics or repeat procedures., Methods: The aim of this prospective, nonrandomized, multicenter, first-in-human study of 19 patients with acute iliofemoral DVT was to evaluate the safety and performance of the Pounce venous thrombectomy system ≤12 months after treatment. The primary performance end point was defined as procedural success through achievement of Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) grade II lysis in treated vessels with freedom from procedural adverse events. Secondary end points included venous disease severity assessments using the Villalta scale and the Venous Clinical Severity Score, patient quality-of-life measurement using the Venous Insufficiency Epidemiological and Economic Study-Quality of Life questionnaire, and calf circumference measurements taken at baseline, 24 hours, and 1 month., Results: The primary end point of complete or near-complete thrombus removal (Society of Interventional Radiology grade II or III) was achieved in all patients. All study device-related safety end points were met, with no major bleeding or device-related adverse events. Of the 19 patients treated, 16 (84.2%) did not receive thrombolytics during the procedure. Post-thrombotic syndrome (Villalta scale >4) was identified in 17 of 19 patients (89.5%) at baseline, 4 of 13 patients (30.8%) available for follow-up at 6 months, and 2 of 11 patients (18.2%) at 12 months. The median Venous Clinical Severity Score decreased (P < .001) from 8.5 (interquartile range [IQR], 7-10) at baseline to 4 (IQR, 2-4) at 1 month after the procedure and was similar at 6 months (2; IQR, 2-5) and 12 months (2; IQR, 1.5-3) after the procedure. The median Venous Insufficiency Epidemiological and Economic Study-Quality of Life questionnaire score improved (P < .001) by 39 from baseline (57; IQR, 53.5-74) to 1 month (96; IQR, 86-101) after the procedure, and remained high at 6 months (99; IQR, 75-103) and 12 months (98; IQR, 94.5-100). The median calf circumference decreased (P = .089) from 39 cm (IQR, 35-47.8 cm) at baseline to 36 cm (IQR, 32.5-40.5 cm) at 24 hours after the procedure and was 34.5 cm (IQR, 33.2-38.5 cm) at 1 month., Conclusions: The Pounce device is safe and effective for removal the of thrombus in patients with acute iliofemoral DVT. Objective: Single-session, catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) with adjunctive power pulse spray (PPS) only, without thrombectomy, was evaluated for its safety and effectiveness. We performed a single-center, retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data., Methods: Patients with high-risk or intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism (PE) who met the inclusion criteria and underwent a single session of CDT-PPS were included in the study. The primary outcomes assessed were technical and clinical success and major adverse events. Secondary outcomes included effectiveness based on pre- and postintervention clinical examination, radiographic findings, and reversal of right ventricular dysfunction at 48 hours and 4 weeks after discharge on echocardiography and computed tomography pulmonary angiography. The length of stay in the intensive care unit and overall admission were also analyzed. A return to premorbid exercise tolerance was evaluated at 12 months after the procedure., Results: Between May 2016 and January 2023, 104 patients at the Wollongong Hospital were diagnosed with high- or intermediate-risk PE and underwent CDT-PPS. Of the 104 patients, 49 (47%) were considered to have high-risk PE and 55 (53%) intermediate-risk PE. Eleven patients (11%) had absolute contraindications and 49 patients (47%) had relative contraindications to systemic thrombolysis. Technical success was achieved in 102 patients (98%). Survival was 99% at 48 hours, 96% at 4 weeks, and 91% at 12 months. At 4 weeks, echocardiography showed 98% of patients had no evidence of right heart dysfunction, and computed tomography pulmonary angiography showed complete resolution of PE in 72%. There were no major adverse events at 48 hours. The median intensive care unit length of stay was 1 day, and the overall length of stay was 6 days. At 12 months, 96% had returned to their premorbid status., Conclusions: The CDT-PPS technique is fast, safe, and effective in the treatment of high- and intermediate-risk PE, even in patients with a high bleeding risk, and should be considered as first-line management when the skills and resources are available. BackgroundCongenital fibular deficiency is a rare disease with a broad spectrum of deformities. Associated anomalies complicate the symptoms of patients and, consequently, individualized treatments that aim at normal function and acceptable appearance.Case presentationWe present a case of congenital femoral and fibular shortening in the right lower limb with foot anomaly at school age. The patient underwent limb lengthening procedure in a single session on the right femur and tibia at the same time using a double-Ilizarov frame. The functional and cosmetic of his right lower extremity achieved a good outcome. Complications were minimal except for the superficial infection. Treatment lasted for 9.2 months, allowing for returning the patient to functional activity as soon as possible.ConclusionA satisfactory result was obtained with limb lengthening in a single session using double Ilizarov external fixators in a school-aged patient with congenital fibular deficiency.

Single session psychological therapy has once again become an option to be implemented by health systems, for this it is necessary to demonstrate its effectiveness; The objective of the present study being to carry out a systematic review on the effectiveness of single session psychological therapy through the PRISMA-NMA method, for the literature search three databases Ebsco, Scopus and Ovid were consulted, using the terms in English; which allowed working with 45 articles published from 2015 to 2021, which demonstrate empirical evidence of the impact of single session interventions. Background: Hemorrhoids are one of the most common diseases in the world, with a high prevalence that includes all age groups and both sexes. Rubber band ligation (RBL) is a non-invasive, non-operative treatment that can be done in an outpatient. Objectives: The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of (RBL) treatment of hemorrhoids grade I-III and follow-up of these patients to evaluate this type of treatment in terms of symptomatic relief and recurrence of hemorrhoids and its complications. Study design: A prospective, and interventional study was undertaken over the period of 2 years in two private clinics with a sample size of 479 patients with internal hemorrhoids. Result: Out of 479 patients with internal hemorrhoids, 94.8% was male. The success rate was 80.4% and it is a relatively high rate. There were no major complications were noticed in this study, despite of simple minor complication that are encountered in any surgical procedures, include very mild pain (16.2%), retention of urine (14.4%), vasovagal attack (5.2%), mild infection at the site of the procedure (5.6%), thrombosis (5.4%), few drops bleeding (9.6%). All these complications need simple treatments. Conclusions: RBL was easy, non-complicated safe surgical procedure for the treatment of internal hemorrhoids can be done in the outpatient clinic with high rate of successful and minor complications. The goal of this phenomenological study was to document the practice of music therapy in adolescent mental health, more specifically through brief group therapy sessions involving this age group. Despite proven needs in this population and the promising effects of music therapy as confirmed by mental health research, the Canadian literature contains scant documentation about this specific context. This study, in the form of semi-structured interviews, sought to learn about the professional experience of three Canadian music therapists who work primarily with adolescents who have mental health issues. An analysis of their responses revealed three main themes: (a) the primary goals in this type of context, (b) the program structures generally established, and (c) the professional skills required. While specific approaches are required for groups of adolescents who present with psychiatric and psychosocial problems, each music therapist uses their own specific work methods, which can therefore vary greatly from one practitioner to the next. The study highlights, in particular, the importance of community music therapy, as well as the need to value individuality--each person's unique story--in the therapeutic process. Endodontic procedures for patients requiring treatment in a single, short session need to be validated. This study aimed at evaluating the long-term outcome of full pulpotomy in permanent molars performed with reinforced zinc oxide–eugenol cement (Intermediate Restorative Material [IRM], Dentsply Sirona, Versailles, France) immediately restored using stainless steel crowns under general anesthesia. The absence of clinical signs and symptoms and the evolution of the periapical index between the treatment date and the longest follow-up time were used to grade the pulpotomy outcome as "effective," "uncertain," or "ineffective." The impact of different criteria on the pulpotomy outcome was tested (ie, the etiology of the lesion, tooth maturity, endodontic difficulty related to the coronal shape and the root canal shape, and endodontic difficulty related to the radiographic root canal appearance). Among the 608 teeth (338 patients) treated in a single session with IRM full pulpotomy and stainless steel preformed crowns, 263 (143 patients) were evaluated after a median follow-up period of 24 months. Overall, 89% of the pulpotomies were effective, 7.6% were of uncertain outcome, and 3.4% were ineffective. No tested criteria influenced the rate of effectiveness. Long-term outcomes of IRM pulpotomy are similar to those of calcium silicate–based cement pulpotomy observed in the literature. This procedure should not be restricted to patients treated under general anesthesia because it is relevant for all special conditions that impose the provision of endodontic treatment in a single, short session, such as dental care emergencies during humanitarian crises or pandemic periods. Single session therapy (SST) is grounded in the belief that clients and families can effect change after one therapeutic encounter, using their own resources, with brief support and assistance from therapists. SST has been found to be an effective intervention for children, young people, and their families presenting with a wide range of difficulties. Research in child and adolescent mental health has shown that over 50% of families find one SST encounter is enough with no need for further specialist input. This study aims to explore family member experiences of SST (undertaken as single session family therapy and termed hereafter SSFT) as an initial intervention in a regional child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS), specifically in terms of worry, confidence, and satisfaction outcomes. An exploratory, mixed methods convergent design was utilised using a combination of open questions and Thurstone scales. All eligible family members were invited to complete questionnaires before and after the SSFT, asking about level of worry, confidence, and overall satisfaction with SSFT. Quantitative and qualitative findings indicated most family members had a positive experience of SSFT, although differences were found between young people, parents, and siblings. Overall, family members' level of worry decreased, while only parental confidence in managing the presenting issue(s) increased. Over half of the families did not require further contact with CAMHS following the SSFT. Our findings support previous research that SSFT is an effective, family‐inclusive, and well received intervention for a variety of mental health issues facing children and young people. SSFT could be considered a beneficial and well received first response for the majority of CAMHS clients, which prioritises a family‐inclusive approach. This case study, narrated in the voice of the first author, describes a supervision session she facilitated with an experienced counsellor. It provides a rare window into the single-session supervisory process in action, and is also an illustrative example of an integrative and process-oriented approach to supervision. Underpinned by a rationale based on both literature and the author's own values and experience as a supervisor, the case study includes an introduction to the supervisee, the first author's assessment of her needs, and the implications of these for her role in, and facilitation of, the session. The supervisory process is described, analysed, and evaluated, including the intrapersonal processes of both the supervisor and her supervisee. Multiple session forensic interviews (MSFI) are a useful tool in the field of child sexual abuse forensic interviewing given the complexity of disclosures and the variety of child-centered needs observed in practice. This paper focuses on the Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas (CACTX) model for conducting MSFIs, illustrated by a description of the statewide training models offered to member centers and enumeration of the MSFI protocol guidelines implemented by one center. A brief history and review of the single session forensic interview (SSFI) is provided followed by considerations for MSFIs in order to establish the development of current and new practices. Clarification of terms are outlined with examples of cases to distinguish between multiple sessions and subsequent sessions. Single-session therapy (SST) is a therapeutic approach based, in part, on the premise that positive change in psychotherapy is not dependent on long-term intervention. SST practitioners provide brief, targeted therapy to amplify inherent client resources in one session. SST is supported by a growing body of research evidencing its efficacy. A well-accepted system that influences how practitioners measure therapeutic outcome is the common factors theory, which includes the therapeutic alliance. As trends in psychological theory have evolved over the years, so too has the opinion of the length of time necessary in achieving a strong working alliance. This study, based on the author's dissertationwas condensed for wider dissemination to provide further support for SST. An alternative single-session catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) method using adjunctive power-pulse spray (PPS) technique (with the AngioJet system; Boston Scientific, Fremont, Calif) was investigated to evaluate its safety and effectiveness in the treatment of acute massive and submassive high-risk pulmonary embolism (PE). Between May 2016 and July 2018, patients diagnosed with extensive massive or submassive PE who triggered intensive care unit involvement and were considered for escalation of treatment were offered CDT with adjunctive PPS technique, provided they met the clinical inclusion criteria. Clinical success was defined as stabilization of hemodynamic parameters, resolution of hypoxia, and survival to discharge. In addition, reversal of right ventricular (RV) failure and pulmonary artery hypertension was evaluated after 24 to 48 hours using echocardiography. After 4 weeks, echocardiography was repeated to check for reversal of RV failure and pulmonary artery hypertension. In addition, computed tomography pulmonary angiography was performed to check for residual thrombus. Functional capacity was also re-evaluated at the follow-up consultation. During the study period, 575 inpatients were diagnosed with PE at The Wollongong Hospital. Of these patients, 32 (5.6%) were referred for escalation of treatment, met the inclusion criteria, and received treatment with the CDT and PPS technique. These patients were classified as having massive (23 [71.9%]) or submassive (9 [28.1%]) PE. Technical success was achieved in all 32 patients, and 31 patients survived to discharge (96.9%). There were no major or minor adverse events and no procedure-related complications. Improvement of RV strain and pulmonary hypertension was achieved in all survivors within 48 hours of the intervention. Furthermore, all echocardiograms completed at 4 weeks after discharge were reported normal. Results from computed tomography pulmonary angiography 4 weeks after discharge demonstrated complete resolution of thrombus in 79.3% of patients, and the remaining 20.7% had only minor residual thrombus reported. In addition, 82.8% of patients reported a return to premorbid exercise tolerance by the time of postoperative consultation with the treating physician (mean follow-up, 6.7 weeks). This initial series indicates that single-session CDT with adjunctive PPS technique using the AngioJet system is safe and effective in treating massive and submassive acute PE. It appears to offer several potential advantages compared with current options, allowing safer and faster thrombus resolution. Multicenter prospective trials are required to validate these findings. Purpose: It is reported that a single bout of exercise can lower insulin responses 12-24 h post-exercise; however, the insulin responses to alternate or consecutive bouts of exercise is unknown. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine the effect of exercise pattern on post-exercise insulin and glucose responses following a glucose challenge.Methods: Ten male participants (n = 10, mean ± SD, Age 29.5 ± 7.7 years; BMI 25.7 ± 3.0 kg/m2) completed three exercise trials of walking for 60 min at ~ 70% of VO2max. The trials consisted of: three consecutive exercise days (3CON), three alternate exercise days (3ALT), a single bout of exercise (SB), and a no exercise control (R). Twelve to fourteen hours after the last bout of exercise or R, participants completed a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and blood was collected at 30 min intervals for the measurement of glucose, insulin, and C-peptide.Result: Calculated incremental area under the curve (iAUC) for glucose and C-peptide was not different between the four trials. Insulin iAUC decreased 34.9% for 3CON compared to R (p < 0.01).Conclusion: Three consecutive days of walking at ~ 70% VO2max improved insulin response following an OGTT compared to no exercise. It is possible, that for healthy males, the effect of a single bout of exercise or exercise bouts separated by more than 24 h may not be enough stimulus to lower insulin responses to a glucose challenge. Objective: This pilot study contributes to the parenting intervention literature by considering the acceptability of a single session, family focused approach using The Family Model in families with two generations of mental ill health attending a child-oriented mental health service. The Family Model provides clinicians with a visual diagram to support a semi-structured conversation between family members with the aim of developing a shared care plan. Service user and clinician experience regarding the acceptability of this intervention is provided. Method: Self-report questionnaire feedback was used to ascertain parent, child/young person and clinician experience following a single session using The Family Model. Feedback was analysed and organised into thematically similar categories and summarised. Results: Of the 43 family members involved, 32 provided feedback. Of the 12 clinicians, 6 provided feedback. Overall experience appeared positive. Key themes reported by family members included improvement in general communication and better shared understanding of the parent and child/young person's predicament. Clinicians reported utility in developing a relational understanding of the problem and a family focused care plan. Discussion: Preliminary data indicate the acceptability of this single session intervention using The Family Model in a small sample of service users and clinicians in a public sector mental health setting. A program based on cognitive behavioral therapy was developed for Japanese junior high school students aged 12-15 years. It consists of a single 50-minute session that targets a reduction in irrational beliefs, which is related to the improvement of psychological distress, such as anxiety and depression. The students were assigned to an intervention group (n = 238) and a control group (n = 277); the latter received an assertiveness training program. Students completed questionnaires including scales addressing irrational beliefs and self-esteem at pre- and post-program. The results revealed that, despite its short length, the OKS program significantly reduced irrational beliefs in the intervention group, in comparison to the control group. Abstract Background The incidence of bilateral and multiple renal stones is not negligible. To date, some sparse data on simultaneous bilateral stone surgery are available in literature showing good outcomes in terms of both effectiveness and safety. Objective To describe our series of patients with bilateral renal stones who underwent simultaneous bilateral endoscopic surgery (SBES), reporting its effectiveness and safety. Design, setting, and participants A prospective analysis of 27 consecutive patients who underwent simultaneous flexible ureteroscopy (fURS) in one side and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in the other side for bilateral renal stones was performed. Surgical procedure SBES, performing fURS in one side and PCNL in the other side contemporaneously. Measurements Clinical data were collected in a dedicated database. Intra- and postoperative outcomes were assessed. Comparisons among pre- and postoperative serum creatinine levels and estimated glomerular filtration rate values during the study period were performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test with the Dunn multiple comparison test. Results and limitations All the procedures were carried out until the end in both sides without encountering any complications intraoperatively. The mean stone size was 27.1 ± 8.1 and 11.1 ± 3.6 mm for the PCNL and fURS side respectively. The mean operative time was 79.4 ± 25.2 min. There were no differences in patients' creatinine and eGFR when comparing at baseline with 1-mo after SBES. No postoperative major complications were experienced (Clavien-Dindo grade I 3.7%; II 11.1%). Stone-free rate was 74% at 1-mo follow-up. The main limitation of the study is the small size of the group analyzed. Conclusions SBES is safe and effective, with minimal morbidity. SBES has the potential advantages of shorter operative time, reduced anesthesia, and reduced hospital time, which can benefit patients, surgeons, and health care systems. Patient summary Simultaneous bilateral endoscopic surgery is an effective treatment with low complication rates for bilateral urolithiasis. This innovative and complicated procedure should be performed in high-volume centers by experienced surgeons. Take Home Message In case of bilateral renal stones, simultaneous bilateral endoscopic surgery (SBES) may represent a safe and effective treatment option. Background: Rewind is a brief trauma-focussed imaginal exposure treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), however evidence for this treatment is limited. Aim: The aim of this paper was to provide preliminary evidence of its efficacy in the treatment of PTSD symptoms. Method: A practice-based pre-post treatment design with an intention-to-treat analysis was used. Sixty three people were treated with Rewind in three separate services. Participants were assessed using the Impact of Events Scale (IES) prior to treatment and were re-assessed at a two-week follow-up. All participants who scored above 25 on the IES were included and there were no other exclusion criteria. Results: There was an overall data capture rate of 95%. After treatment, 55 (87%) participants were below the IES clinical cut-off and, other than three participants with missing data, all participants showed reliable improvement using the IES Reliable Change Index. Conclusion: These preliminary findings suggest that Muss’ Rewind may offer a useful treatment for PTSD symptoms. Rewind may be cost-effective, given the number of sessions that were required and the relative effectiveness of newly trained therapists in delivering the therapy. College counseling centers are experiencing a surging in demand for services that is unaccompanied by an equivalent growth in resources. A possible solution to this disparity is the adoption of a service paradigm founded on ultra-brief therapies, episodic treatments, and the walk-in model of mental health delivery. These models fit both the developmental needs of college students and the existing infrastructures of counseling centers.
