Abstract

In this article, an improved single diode Photo Voltaic mathematical system with novel Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) based maximum power extraction approach was developed. The photovoltaic module voltage versus current characteristics derivation were developed and it’s utilized to extract the photovoltaic module unknown arguments via as saturation current, light generated current, shunt and ideality factor, series resistance at reference. The various mathematical models are utilized to determine the photovoltaic system arguments at reference circumference by acquainting equations to calculate the value of resistance in series and shunt. The production of highest power of PV modules were equated with dissimilar manufactured PV model with various environmental conditions. The percentage relative error and highest power is computed and compared with previous models in the survey for dissimilar photovoltaic modules. Further, in this paper added with improved Perturb and Observe (P&O) based FLC control approach utilized to extract the highest energy from solar panel. The output of the developed system exposes the good performance during steady state period and transient periods. Moreover to confirm the developed photovoltaic model matches exactly with that of Sandia PV module.

24. Performance evaluation of half bridge AC–AC resonant converter by using various load in domestic purpose of induction heating application.

Abstract

A new 28 kHz is proposed for the generation of output power of 775 watts with a high frequency to drive a domestic induction heating application using AC convertor. The proposed system deals with the output parameters of THD, PF, and output power in the simulation. The simulation carried out for the various loaded conditions and selected with respect to various parameters like power factor, THD, temperature, time, higher power, uniform distribution of heat through the IH system. The requirement of the proposed system is to have a highly reliable and adaptable to different loaded condition. A prototype of the proposed system was implemented and verified with the system developed. Experiment was carried out with different medium (liquid) and results are measured and graphically represented. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe main objective of this paper is to develop a novel inverter to produce multilevel output voltage. This paper proposes the cascaded H-bridge with sub-multilevel inverter (CHBSMLI) using three unequal DC sources in order to get 15-level output voltage. The unequal DC sources can be obtained from photovoltaic cell. The proposed CHBSMLI reduces the number of switches which in turn reduces the switching losses. The multicarrier sine Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique is proposed to obtain pure sinusoidal signal with reduced total harmonic distortion (THD). The performance analysis of the proposed three-phase CHBSMLI carried out using MATLAB/simulink with minimised THD and switching loss. The gating signals are generated using a Spartan-3E FPGA processor. The single-phase 15-level CHBSMLI with PWM developed to validate the simulation result.

Abstract

High switching frequency operation, with converter loss kept at minimum, is possible through the use of Zero-Voltage Switching (ZVS) technique. High power factor operation can be achieved in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique, since the input current is inherently close to sinusoidal due to the current injection PWM technique. High frequency operation is necessary to reduce the size of reactive components. Further, for MOSFET-based converters, ZVS is required for efficient operation to reduce or eliminate heat sink requirements. Resonant converters were well documented to meet both of these requirements. The aim of this work was to develop simulink models for Power Factor Correction (PFC) converter and closed loop DC to DC converter. In the present work, high frequency full bridge series resonant PFC converter with improved efficiency is designed and the simulation results are presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
