- Abstract
Green human resource management (GHRM) is bringing positive transformations in business and society, as well as challenges for hotels. Drawing from social cognitive theory (SCT), this study examined green HRM with environmental and social performance. Significantly, this paper also used organizational green culture as a mediation variable. This empirical study employed a quantitative research method. Data were collected from 155 employees working in Pakistan’s hotels. The results demonstrate that green HRM (t-statistic value = 9.676, p-value = 0.000) is positively related to organizational green culture. In addition, organizational green culture (t-statistic value = 11.254, p-value = 0.000, t-statistic value = 16.882, p-value = 0.000) has a significant effect on environmental and social performance. Moreover, organizational green culture fully mediated the relationship between green HRM and environmental performance (t-statistic value = 5.444, p-value = 0.000). Finally, organizational green culture fully mediated the relationship between green HRM and social performance (t-statistic value = 7.218, p-value = 0.000).

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of hardiness on the perceived military performance of reservists, i.e., young people who have full-time jobs in a civilian sector and perform military training as a part of their civic duty. We proposed the conceptual model with conditional indirect effects of the hardiness on personal military performance, where mediated moderation effects are observed from personality traits and variables important for military service: team cohesion, perceived stress, and psychological resilience. The final dataset was comprised of 384 self-reported paper–pencil questionnaires filled out by reserve soldiers, and PROCESS Macro 3.5 Model 7 and Model 14 were used for the analysis. The results revealed that perceived stress (Model 1) and psychological resilience (Model 2) have a statistically significant moderate mediating effect on the interlink between hardiness and performance when personality traits and team cohesion are taken into consideration. The change in R2 is statistically significant and explains how perceived stress and psychological resilience affect individuals. When psychological hardiness is low, the level of perceived stress has a statistically significant moderating effect, i.e., it reduces the effect of hardiness on performance. When comparing the effects of perceived stress and psychological resilience, the latter has a stronger moderating effect on performance. Specifically, the moderating effect of resilience was more evident in Model 2 (66.9% variance, r = 0.818) for the military performance of the reservists than the perceived stress in Model 1 (52.5% variance, r = 0.724). This means that resilience increases the accountability of Model 2 compared to Model 1 by 14.4%. We conclude that resilience training could statistically significantly increase the military performance of reserve soldiers as a tactical population.

The aim was to examine hair cortisol levels and self-reported stress amongst conscripts during their basic military training, and how they are related to four types of theory-derived determinants. The following prediction was made: lower levels of perceived stress and hair cortisol will be associated with: (1) higher levels of emotional stability (the individual nonmilitary aspect); (2) a lower degree of private life problems (the contextual nonmilitary aspect); (3) more positive attitudes toward the military, higher engagement in military service, and higher adaptability to military conditions (the individual-military aspect); and (4) stronger group cohesion and better leadership (the contextualmilitary aspect). The sample consisted of a total of 107 male Lithuanian conscripts. Assessments were made at the beginning of their basic military training, in the middle, and at the end. Established instruments were used on all self-reported scales. Hair cortisol levels were established through analyses of hair samples. Low to moderate levels of stress were found throughout the basic training period regarding perceived stress levels. Hair cortisol levels were mainly unrelated to the self-rating scales. Regarding perceived stress, the prediction was fully confirmed. The future value of the theoretical model is discussed. Keywords: Perceived stress; hair cortisol; basic military training; conscripts; repeated-measures design.

In 2021, Lithuania faced the challenge of managing the crisis of new type of migration across the Belarusian border, which threatened the security of the country and its citizens. A broad set of inter-institutional collaboration strategies and methods were used among the public institutions to address this crisis. Such inter-institutional collaboration has been a multifaceted and complex process, involving both known and new good practices. The aim of this article is to provide insights into good collaborative practices between the Lithuanian national defence and internal affairs systems in managing the migrant crisis. Following the expert interview results, the study identified three good practices of inter-institutional collaboration: (i) the creation of a single dissemination channel for the crisis response services, which ensured that all actors were in the same information field; (ii) the delegation of representatives of the institutions to teams at strategic, operational and tactical levels; and (iii) inter-institutional information sharing ensured good situational awareness at an early stage of emergency management. Lessons learned from the collaboration between the institutions of the national defence and internal affairs systems can be applied to improve inter-institutional collaboration in other areas. The research results can be used to enhance the process of such collaboration in addressing current emergency management issues and serve as a basis for effective and smooth emergency preparedness and response where inter-institutional synergy is needed., 2021 m. Tyrimo metu identifikuotos trys gerosios tarpinstitucinio bendradarbiavimo praktikos: (i) sukurtas vienas sklaidos kanalas krizių reagavimo tarnyboms, kuris užtikrino, kad visi dalyviai būtų viename informaciniame lauke; (ii) institucijų atstovai deleguoti į strateginio, operacinio ir taktinio lygmens grupes; (iii) tarpinstitucinis dalijimasis informacija užtikrino gerą situacijos suvokimą jau ankstyvoje ekstremaliosios situacijos valdymo stadijoje. Krašto apsaugos ir vidaus reikalų sistemų institucijų bendradarbiavimo metu įgyta patirtis gali būti pritaikyta tobulinant tarpinstitucinį bendradarbiavimą kitose srityse. Tyrimo metu gauti rezultatai gali būti tikslingai panaudoti tokio bendradarbiavimo proceso tobulinimui, sprendžiant aktualias krizių valdymo problemas ir pasitarnauti kaip teorinis pagrindas siekiant efektyvaus ir sklandaus pasiruošimo krizėms.

- Abstract
This study empirically examines green HRM practices within social sustainability. Employee green behaviour and green self-efficacy as a micro-level perspective towards social sustainability is under-researched and lacking aspect in the existing literature on human resource management therefore the study addresses this research gap. Drawing from the ability motivation opportunity (AMO) theoretical perspective, it is hypothesized that employee green behaviour and green self-efficacy serve as moderators and mediators between green HRM and social sustainability in organizations. This study used a survey design method and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was run for the data analysis. We collected data from 142 employees working in the hotels located in the metropolitan city of Karachi (Pakistan) by using a purposive sampling technique. The significance and novelty of this study lay in multiple outcomes such as employee green behavior mediates a positive relationship between green HRM practices and organizational social sustainability meanwhile green HRM practices showed an insignificant direct relationship with organizational social sustainability. Furthermore, the moderating impact of green self-efficacy on green HRM practices and organizational social sustainability was insignificant in the current study. Based on these findings, hotels need to foster the green attitudes and behaviors among employees related with corporate green priorities in order to foster organizational social sustainability. Hotels have to incorporate green policies into their HRM to remind and facilitate green attitudes and behaviors.

This research aims to predict conscripts’ task cohesion in groups using artificial neural network modelling (NNM). The prediction of task cohesion during military conscription lies on two domains of research. The first is related to team cohesion, its deconstruction, and its measurement, while the second is allied to nonlinear modelling in group behaviour research. To predict this multidimensional and complex phenomenon, the multilayer perceptron (MLP) and the radial basis function (RBF) neural networks are used. As a result, the team cohesion in conscript groups, which is a key variable in conscription service effectiveness, was predicted with high accuracy (MPL MOD2= 88% and RBF MOD8=90%) by the models created. The performed modeling shows that according to MPL MOD2 norm cohesion has 100% of normalized importance, while according to RBF MOD8, interpersonal cohesion is the best predictor (normalized importance=100%) for task cohesion in groups during conscription service.

The article analyzes the generational (age cohorts) effect on subjective wellbeing at work. The main aim is to reveal generational differences that lead to subjective wellbeing at work and possible discrepancies between the generations. The article contributes to the literature by creating and testing a theoretical model of subjective wellbeing at work as a composition of several dimensions that vary among generations, including physical experience, cognitive job performance, and appraisal, as well as social relationships and socio-emotional enablement at work. Using the military as an organization where daily routine creates similar conditions for different generations, we surveyed 890 army professionals representing three different generations: Gen Y, Gen X, and Gen Z. A structural equation modelling (SEM) technique is used to test the research model. The results support the hypothesis that generation has a strong moderating impact on the components of subjective wellbeing at work. Social relationship, as a socio-emotional experience, is the most important component of wellbeing at work for Gen Z, while socio-emotional enablement plays a central role in subjective wellbeing at work for Gen X and Gen Y.

The purpose of civil-military cooperation is to exchange resources and information to effectively manage different types of disasters. In this regard, civil-military cooperation in disaster preparedness should increase coherence in the area of information sharing and mutual support. The purpose of this study is to examine how cooperation between municipal institutions and the same nation’s military meets these requirements. The results presented in the article show that cooperation between municipal institutions and military personnel of the same nation is similar to civilian and military cooperation in international missions or disaster relief. This cooperation is based on a mutual understanding of the value of cooperation; willingness to cooperate and mutual support. At the same time, there are objective obstacles to the effectiveness of cooperation in disaster preparedness between municipal institutions and the military, mainly related to legal regulation, bureaucracy and hierarchy, often impeding the dissemination of information and undermining mutual trust between institutions. The study found that simplification of existing legislation, detailed planning process, information sharing during joint exercises and other joined activities would be important factors in improving civil (municipal)-military cooperation in disaster preparedness.

The purpose of this study is to explore how pro-environmental energy behavior is manifested at a military unit and what behavioral change factors can enhance such behavior. The military unit represents an organization dominated by an exceptionally strong sense of community and belonging where individual pro-environmental energy behavior goes in line with a collective one. The application of Capability-Opportunity-Motivation-Behavior (COM-B) approach led to a better understanding of energy-saving behavior in the military as an organization where personnel are trained to increase their awareness of their peers&rsquo, behavior. Methods: The results were obtained using data collected from two independent samples of both professional soldiers and conscripts at a military unit of Lithuanian defense forces located in a fixed installation in the time frame of 2018&ndash, 2019. The total sample of respondents (professional soldiers and conscripts) was N = 454. A series of statistical tests were performed at the 0.05 level of confidence. Results: An extended COM-B model for the analysis of pro-environmental energy behavior in the military was proposed and applied. The results show that the three behavioral change factors&mdash, capability, opportunity, and motivation&mdash, are first of all positively linked with the collective energy behavior at the military unit and only then with the individual soldier&rsquo, s pro-environmental energy behavior. This is a new insight into the COM-B model as collective and individual behavior are identified as separate indicators and then combined into a single measurable construct. In addition, the results indicate that in the military unit, communality plays an important role in sustaining pro-environmental energy behavior, even if an individual behavior indicates low-involvement.

In the following article “Smart Technologies and Social Media in Business” is examined how rapid growth of everyday technologies during 21st century has changed user experiences, how business was forced to react and how would we could describe relationship of business and user nowadays. Theoretical and historical information is expanded with quantitative research with the purpose to look how previously mentioned changes influenced business. In these researches are used TOPSIS and EDAS method of evaluation, which showed that not only good financial indicators, but user engagement creates a successful environment for business. The results show that it is often assumed incorectly that the company with the highest turnover is well known and most effecient in creating corporate awareness. While assesing four multinational corporations we found that social media, rather than sales or advertising spend, was a decisive factor in corporate awareness. These results can be used as a basis for planning business investment in technology and marketing campaigns. leadership ,responders ,military - Abstract
Whether natural, human-made incidents and wars, each crisis possesses unique and complex operational environment and requires strong leadership capabilities to implement response actions. Accordingly, every-day leadership practice, leadership self-development is encouraged and leadership development programmes are implemented across nations and institutions to develop leadership capabilities of military and first responders for crisis and emergency situations. However, assessing real leadership capabilities is often a difficult task as criteria for evaluation are neither standardized nor agreed. The previous studies admit that there are no universal instrument to assess leadership capabilities, moreover, leadership assessment is usually designed for long-term directions and self-development instead of leadership assessment in the field. Accordingly, we aim of this paper is to compare instruments and practicesfor leadership capabilities assessment of military and first responders for crisis and emergency situations. The paper fills a gap by comparing two separate streams of leadership capabilities assessment: an assessment of leadership (self)-development that is designed for team cohesion in a long-term and assessment of leadership capabilities that are essential for short-term actions during crisis and emergency situations.

- Abstract
The role of owners/professional managers has been recognized as a vital in the development processes of high growth firms (HGFs), contributing to countries' productivity and competitiveness. The purpose of the paper is to identify and analyse some of the most significant factors, impacting internationalization of HGFs by investigating the attitudes of owners and professional managers. Theoretical discussion, related to international entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial traits and entrepreneurial perceptions, has led to the development of the research instrument. The analysis is based on a quantitative approach: the survey focuses on Lithuanian HGFs. The sample comprises 353 firms, included in the annual Gazelle list. The study does not reveal the difference between the attitudes of owners and professional managers. The results corroborate previous investigations disclosing that the traits of entrepreneurs and managers, matching entrepreneurial tasks, are good predictor of HGFs internationalization. The importance of external incentives, perceived by the owners and managers, are decreasing while HGFs internationalization is increasing. The joint effect of entrepreneurial traits and perceptions of internal and external barriers are good predictors of HGFs internationalization. The findings of the study are useful for the policy makers in the financial support decision making process and in the development of additional training programs. The implications for the managers of HGFs lie in the possibility to assess their personality traits and conclude about their suitability to that task. The research fills the gap in the extant knowledge by investigating micro-level factors and provides valuable findings on HGFs in Eastern European country.

[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The monography is prepared by implementing the project "Pareigūnų ir karių, išleidžiamų į ankstyvąją pensiją, integracijos į darbo rinką tyrimas" ("The research of the integration of officers and soldiers, who are discharged to retire early"), financed by the Research Council (SIN-19/2012). The authors analyse the problematics of the integration to the labour market of the persons, who for a long time served in private statutory organizations, their possibilities to begin new career. In the monography, the theoretical provisions, which allow assuring successful reintegration to the labour market for officers and soldiers, who are discharged to retire early, are analysed. The concept and the problematics of discharge to early retirement are presented, the specifics of changing of Lithuanian labour market are distinguished and the active tools of labour market politics are applied. Having considered that the situation of officers and soldiers, who are discharged to retire early, is unique in the legal approach, a lot of focus is on the legal regulation of the state pension of the officers and soldiers in the country. The research of the integration status of officers and soldiers, who were discharged to retire early in 2010-2012, is presented, the results of the expert survey of the representatives of EU home affairs and Ministry of National Defence that introduce political means in EU countries and practice during analysed group's integration to labour market are demonstrated.

- Abstract

- Abstract
In this master thesis an alternative methods of evaluating quality of performance of an company is analysed. Performance of an company is reflected with a number of quantitative criteria, which can have various dimensions, which values can vary in opposite directions, furthermore significance of every criteria to company work quality is also not equal Companies itself can perform different activities and be various sizes. In order to make a complex and comprehensive evaluation of quality of performance on a company and combine all these different criteria features in one single indicator multi-criteria methods was proposed. Company work quality performance evaluation methodology was created and adapted for Vilnius chamber f commerce 2012 year „Best company“ competition winner indentification., Šiame baigiamajame darbe yra išanalizuoti keli galimi būdai kaip įvertinti įmonių darbo kokybę.

In theory and practice, there is a lack of motivated decisions, expressing the peculiarities of innovations and innovative activities in the field of creation, marketing, and consumption of pharmaceutical products Attempting to define the principal views to be considered while developing innovations and innovative activities to create, market, and consume pharmaceutical products, specific social, economic, and technological tendencies of development which demand distinct humanization priorities have been taken into account. The problem of humanizing innovations and innovative activities is especially acute for the Lithuanian public, since it is here that the process of versatile and manifold reforms and transformations, directly integrating broad-scale innovations, has been intensely going on. The article presents methodical views expressing the peculiarities of marketing pharmaceutical products, directly relating these peculiarities with the development of innovations and innovative activities adequate to the processes of the market globalization and European integration. Spreading of the uniform norms and standards conditioning uniform evaluation of identical behavior and identical results in business is characteristic of the above-mentioned processes. The analysis of social responsibility in the development of pharmaceutical business enables showing the importance of the standards of behavior and the impact on the environment in the business processes.

Kad šios informacijos skleidimas būtų optimalus, verslo įmonės turi sudaryti be paliovos tobulinamą informacijos pateikimo sistemą. The article analyses the customer information system in the pharmaceutical market, identifies problems and solutions of this system development The main problems encountered in the development of the information system for the consumers of pharmaceutical product, are the lack of critical attitude towards the information received, decreasing physicians' influence (informed comment) in the process of the selection of pharmaceuticals and the increasing flow of tendentious commercial information. The article analyses the influence of the legal environment on the process of informing the pharmaceuticals users. The results of the study demonstrate that the legal environment is only one of the factors, ensuring the existence of the consumers' information system. In this way it is the initiative of business enterprises themselves to be responsible for the spread/propagation of the right information. This initiative is essentially influenced by the newly perceived impact of the stakeholders on the activities of the enterprise: modem business enterprises in their pursue of a long- lasting effect must take into consideration the interests of the variety of their stakeholders. Pharmacy business enterprises should consider the interests of the main stakeholders- the consumers' interests and in this way propagate objective exhaustive and comprehensive information, which could help the consumers to choose the right product effectively. In order to optimize the spread of this information, business enterprises should establish continually improved system for the presentation of information
