The article presents information on LISTSERVS of interest to library access services for the period April-June 2011. The University of Missouri-Kansas City Library has begun using the WorldCat knowledge base and reported that some loan requests have worked correctly but none of the article requests has been successful. Libraries whose borrowing requests have declined turned to SFX and WorldCat Direct which make filling out requests forms easier. Some libraries have also set policies for audio-visual (AV) loans.

The article focuses on patron's names in libraries. It states that one can use transaction number but this becomes a problem when number of borrowers is more. It mentions the use of technology through which a patron's name appears when bar code is made on a removal label. It highlights that some librarians think that giving a borrower's name to another library is not a breach of confidentiality.
