Today, one of the social problems that has caused society, especially the younger generation, to suffer personal and social crises, is the increasing consumption of tobacco which is known as an important and dangerous risk factor for disability and premature death worldwide. Considering the problems and side effects of hookah consumption, there is still no ban on its consumption in most societies, and some countries have limited themselves banning the advertising of these substances and create restrictions on the purchase and banning consumption in certain places. Generally, the effective factors in initiation of hookah consumption were personal, family and social. The most common of which include role modeling, belief in the harmlessness of the hookah, fun and enjoyment, hookah smoking by family members, availability of hookah, influence of peer groups, social acceptance, university, and flavored tobacco. Belief in the harmlessness of the hookah and the elimination of its ugliness has made hookah consumption by women a social problem and harm. Peer pressure is a very important factor in hookah consumption, and in this context, it is recommended to strengthen the skill of saying no and not to mix out with hookah smoking people.
