Rezeksiyon sonrası oluşan göğüs duvarı defektleri çeşitli sentetik materyaller ile stabil hale getirilebilmektedir. Ancak skapula altında kalan posterior lokalizasyonlu defektlerde rekonstruksiyona her zaman gerek olmamaktadır. Akciğerin sağ üst lobundan kaynaklanarak posterior göğüs duvarını invaze eden akciğer kanserli olgumuza sağ üst bilobektomi ve posterior 2,3,4,5. kotlarına parsiyel rezeksiyon yapıldı. Postoperatif sağ apikal poş ile 7.gün taburcu edildi. Ancak taburculuğunun 32. gününde omuz hareketlerinde azalma ve ağrı şikayetiyle polikliniğimize başvurdu. Hastanın muayenesinde sağ skapulanın 1/3 alt kısmınının toraks içine girdiği gözlendi. Akciğer grafisinde skapulanın toraks içine girerek kısmen poş alanını doldurduğu ve akciğere bası yaptığı gözlendi. Skapulanın toraks içine girerek akciğeri tuzaklaması ve poş alanını doldurması çok nadir görülen komplikasyonlardandır Chest wall defects are stabled with various kinds of synthtetic materials. However, for the posteriorly located defects under the scapula, reconstruction is not always needed. In our case with lung cancer originating from right upper lobe and invading posterior chest wall, right upper bilobectomy and partial resection of posterior 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th costas were performed. The patient was discharged on 7th day postoperatively with apical space. But the patient admitted to hospital with limitation of right shoulder movements and back pain on 32nd day postoperatively. On physical examination, we observed that scapula shifted into thorax. Lung X-ray revealed that right scapula had transposed into thorax filling a part of the the space and it trapped the lung. It is a rare complication that scapula invades into thorax trapping the lung and filling the space.
