A convenient method for deoxyfluorination of aromatic and aliphatic carboxylic acids with CF3SO2OCF3 in the presence of a suitable base at room temperature has been developed. The reaction allows a straightforward access to a variety of acyl fluorides and proves that CF3SO2OCF3 is an effective deoxyfluorination reagent for carboxylic acids. The method features simplicity, expeditiousness, high efficiency, ease of handling, good functional group tolerance, a wide range of substrates, excellent yields of products, compatibility of many amine initiators, use of environmentally friendly reagents, and effortless removal of byproducts. Progress in the transition‐metal‐catalyzed or ‐free fluoroalkylation of diazo compounds with different types of fluoroalkyl (Rfn) transfer reagents is summarized in this review. Special attention is focused on the straightforward trifluoromethylation, gem‐difluoroolefination, trifluoromethoxylation, fluoroalkylthiolation, and trifluoromethylselenolation of diazo substrates. The mechanistic insights and the application of some of the products are also discussed in this article. We believe that this review will inspire both young and experienced chemists to further study the direct fluoroalkylation of diazo compounds as an efficient and convenient way to build complex fluorine‐containing molecules. The first Pd-catalyzed Mizoroki–Heck-type reaction of [Ph2SRfn][OTf] with alkenes is described. The reaction of [Ph2SRfn][OTf] (Rfn = CF3, CH2CF3) with alkenes in the presence of 10 mol% Pd[P(t-Bu)3]2 and TsOH at room temperature provided the corresponding phenylation products in good to high yields. The bases that benefit the traditional Mizoroki–Heck reactions severely inhibited the transformation with [Ph2SRfn][OTf], whereas acids significantly improved the reaction. This protocol supplies a new class of cross-coupling partners for Mizoroki–Heck-type reactions and gains important insights into the reactivity of phenylsulfonium salts either with or without fluorine-containing alkyl groups as the promising phenylation reagents in organic synthesis. This study aimed to evaluate the long-term clinical outcomes of drug-coated drug (DCB) angioplasty for long femoropopliteal lesions in older patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). In this multi-center retrospective study, we enrolled 119 patients with CLTI due to Trans-Atlantic Inter-Society Consensus (TASCII) C/D femoropopliteal lesions who underwent DCB angioplasty. A total of 119 patients with 122 limbs (TASCII C = 67, 54.9%; TASCII D = 55, 45.1%) were enrolled. At 36-month follow-up, primary patency, assisted primary patency, secondary patency, and freedom from target lesion revascularization were 47.3%, 49.8%, 59.5%, and 62.7%, respectively, and there was a significant improvement over baseline in Rutherford class (P < .001) and ankle-brachial index measurements (P < .001). Complex target lesions (P = .017) and 1 stenosis-free outflow vessel (P = .001) were risk predictors of freedom from clinically driven target lesion revascularization. Complex target lesions (P = .044), diabetes (P = .007), and 1 stenosis-free outflow vessel (P = .003) were risk predictors of restenosis. At 2 months, the ulcer healing rate was 96.3% (26/27). At 36 months, the limb salvage and survival rates were 85.8% and 83.3%, respectively. Objective: To investigate the bio-effects of high single-dose radiation on xenografts of Lewis lung carcinoma., Methods: Female 8-week-old C57 mice bearing 4-6 mm diameter Lewis lung carcinoma tumors in the hind legs were divided into 3 groups, control group (0 Gy), high single-dose group (12 Gy/one fraction/day) and routine radiation group (22 Gy/11 fraction/15 d). The mean biological effective dose (BED) of both radiation groups was 26.4 Gy. Changes in hypoxia, DNA damage and cell cycle of the tumor cells at 1, 3, 8, 15 and 21 d after first irradiation was assessed by immunofluorescence and flow-cytometry and the tumor growth curve was also made., Results: Compared to the fractionated treatment, the tumor growth was delayed after single dose irradiation. The percent of hypoxic cells after single dose radiation was lower than fractioned irradiation at 3, 8, 15 d after first radiation. The foci of gamma-H2AX showed that the single dose caused heavier DNA damages than fractioned irradiation at 1, 3 d after first radiation. The decline of G0/G1 percentage and increase of G2/M percentage of cells was found in both radiation schedules, but the G2/M percentage after single dose radiation was higher., Conclusion: In the C57 mice bearing Lewis lung carcinoma, the high single-dose regimen inhibits the tumor growth more than fractioned irradiation. We hypothesized that conversion of high single-dose to BED using the LQ formalism under estimated the in vivo effect of hypofractionated radiation.
