Abstract

Rolling oil sludge (ROS) is a type of solid waste produced during steel rolling; this waste contains not only a high iron content but also many harmful organic components and is a very attractive secondary resource. This paper introduces the sources and hazards of ROS, summarizes the recycling methods integrated with steel production, classifies traditional treatment technologies, and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages. Combined treatment is the main direction of ROS treatment methods in the future. The ROS recycling techniques applied in different industries are summarized. Finally, existing problems and future work are described to promote the remediation and resource utilization of ROS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

A linear/nonlinear active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) switching control (SADRC) strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) is proposed in this article to integrate the merits of the linear ADRC (LADRC) and nonlinear ADRC (NLADRC), and handle the trouble in parameter tuning and stability analysis of the NLADRC. The advantages and disadvantages of the LADRC and NLADRC are analyzed theoretically and a hysteretic switching strategy is presented to estimate and compensate the total disturbance smoothly and precisely. Based on the proposed control strategy, the SADRC controller of the PMSM is designed to achieve the accurate and robust speed control of the PMSM. Moreover, a parameter tuning strategy of the SADRC is proposed as well to simplify the parameter tuning of the NLADRC linked inextricably with that of the LADRC due to limitation of the switching conditions. Finally, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed control strategy are demonstrated on a 180 W PMSM platform.

Abstract

In this study, an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) for single-rotor air conditioner compressors with small inertia is studied, which adopts a sensorless control based on the phase-locked loop (PLL). Owing to the large periodic motor speed fluctuations, the speed and rotor angle of these compressors calculated by the PLL have inherent lagging phase shift and amplitude attenuation, which deteriorates the field weakening control performance and leads to larger speed fluctuations and current oscillations. In this study, a novel phase lead compensated PLL (PLC-PLL) was proposed to reduce the angle error between the real rotor position and estimated rotor position as well as to improve the performance of field weakening control. This method compensates the phase shift of the calculated angle and then reduces the angle error and speed fluctuations. Furthermore, the method of setting parameters for the PLC-PLL is also given. The experimental results confirm that this scheme can greatly reduce the angle error and the fluctuations of speed and currents, which improves the performance of the controller.
