The goal of this study was to examine the expression of ADAM panel in the clinical specimens of bladder cancer and to investigate the role of miR-3174/ADAM15 (a disintegrin and metalloprotease 15) axis in the regulation of bladder cancer cell proliferation.Methods: The expression of an ADAM gene panel (including ADAM8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 23, 28, and 33), including 30 pairs of bladder tumor and non-tumor specimens, was examined by Ion AmpliSeq Targeted Sequencing. A microRNA (miRNA) that could potentially target the ADAM with the highest expression level in the tumor tissue was identified using the online tool miRDB. Next, the interaction between the miRNA and ADAM15 was identified by Western blot. Finally, the proliferation of bladder cancer cells was examined using MTT (3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide) experiments (cell proliferation examining) and subcutaneous tumor models by using nude mice.Results: The expression of ADAM15 in tumor tissue was found statistically significant when compared to its expression in non-tumor tissue. Additionally, ADAM15’s expression in tumor tissue was found the highest of all other tested ADAMs. Next, by using the online tool miRDB, a microRNA termed miR-3174 was identified that targets ADAM15 and inhibits its expression by binding to its 3′-untranslated region. Finally, we found that overexpression of miR-3174 in bladder cancer cells inhibited the proliferation of cells due to the inhibition of ADAM15.Conclusion: In the present work, the data highlight that miR-3174 inhibits the proliferation of bladder cancer cells by targeting ADAM15.Keywords: ADAM, bladder cancer, metastasis, microRNA, proliferation

A simple hydrothermal process for fabrication of a nanocomposite comprising Fe 2 O 3 anchored on three-dimensional (3D) reduced graphene oxide aerogel (rGOA) was developed by using Fe(NO 3 ) 3 and graphene oxide (GO) as precursors and urea as precipitation agent. The morphology and structure of the Fe 2 O 3 /reduced graphene oxide aerogel (Fe 2 O 3 /rGOA) composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and Raman spectroscopy. An interconnected 3D network structure, which can allow rapid electrolyte ions diffusion and fast electron transport, was formed by the self-assembly of graphene oxide sheets decorated with Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles. The particle sizes of Fe 2 O 3 ranged from 30 to 50 nm and were hardly affected by the amount of Fe 2 O 3 loaded into rGOA. The electrochemical properties of the Fe 2 O 3 /rGOA composites were studied using cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge measurement by a three-electrode system. The as-prepared Fe 2 O 3 /rGOA composites exhibited a specific capacitance as high as 522 F g −1 at 20 A g −1 within the operated voltage window (−1.1 to 0.3 V). The excellent electrochemical performance of Fe 2 O 3 /rGOA was interpreted to be due to the synergistic effect of Fe 2 O 3 particles and rGOA.

In order to realize high-precision subdivision driving and multi-axis controlling for stepper motor system, a new PWM subdivision driver with multi-axis controlling is proposed. It mainly contains four independent PWM subdivision driving modules with Avalon bus interface, which can be used to set the working mode in each PWM channel for different motion axis. Each PWM subdivision driving module can output PWM square wave with maximum 256 subdivision, and can work in continuous or limited, synchronous or asynchronous working mode. Two or more PWM subdivision driving modules can be set to synchronize the PWM output, which realizes multi- axis controlling. The new PWM subdivision driver is designed by Verilog HDL language, simulated in Modelsim, and verified by using DE2–115 FPGA development board connected to four stepper motors via LMD18200 H Bridges. Both simulation and experiment results show that each PWM subdivision driving module can generate high-precision PWM square wave for different subdivision setting in continuous or limited working mode, and can work stably in cooperation for multi-axis control.

The composite of nano-iron oxide (Fe 2 O 3 )/three-dimensional graphene aerogel (Fe 2 O 3 /GA) was synthesized by a hydrothermal method. The structural and morphological properties of Fe 2 O 3 /GA were characterized through X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Fe 2 O 3 particles with 30–60 nm in size were homogenously encapsulated in graphene aerogel(GA). In the three-electrode system, an extremely wide working potential window was observed from −0.8 to 0.8 V(vs. SCE) in 0.5 M Na 2 SO 4 aqueous solution, and a specific capacitance of 81.3 F g −1 was obtained at a constant current density of 1 A g −1 .

In this paper, the evolution of the fluid surface wave on an inclined waving wall is investigated. The waving wall is assumed to have a sinusoidal fluctuating surface, and the linear stability of the liquid film flow is analyzed. In addition, the evolutions of the disturbance wave under different tilt angles, and the variations in this wave when passing through different wall shapes are studied. It can be observed that the time evolution of the disturbance wave appears to be a near periodic variation of a larger wavelength. Further, by comparing its flow structure with that for the flat plate wall, it is found that the wave conditions are more complex. When the fluid flows through the waving wall, the disturbance wave no longer displays a regular change in space, and its amplitude increases with the tilt angle of the wall increasing. For the same tilt angle, the amplitude of the disturbance wave in the waving wall is greater than that for the flat plate wall, and the distortions in waveform are more obvious. As Re increases, the amplitude of the disturbance wave increases gradually, and the distortion of the corresponding wave increases as well. Further, with the increase of wall surface amplitude, the amplitudes of the static and disturbance waves increase, whereas the corresponding traveling-wave period remains unchanged. Finally, the influence of the wall tilt angle on flow stability is analyzed.
