Objective Falls are one of the most frequently occurring adverse events among hospitalized patients. The Morse Fall Scale, which has been widely used for fall risk assessment, has the two limitations of low specificity and difficulty in practical implementation. The aim of this study was to develop and validate an interpretable machine learning model for prediction of falls to be integrated in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.Methods This was a retrospective study involving a tertiary teaching hospital in Seoul, Korea. Based on the literature, 83 known predictors were grouped into seven categories. Interpretable fall event prediction models were developed using multiple machine learning models including gradient boosting and Shapley values.Results Overall, 191,778 cases with 272 fall events (0.1%) were included in the analysis. With the validation cohort of 2020, the area under the receiver operating curve (AUROC) of the gradient boosting model was 0.817 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.720–0.904), better performance than random forest (AUROC, 0.801; 95% CI, 0.708–0.890), logistic regression (AUROC, 0.802; 95% CI, 0.721–0.878), artificial neural net (AUROC, 0.736; 95% CI, 0.650–0.821), and conventional Morse fall score (AUROC, 0.652; 95% CI, 0.570–0.715). The model’s interpretability was enhanced at both the population and patient levels. The algorithm was later integrated into the current EMR system.Conclusion We developed an interpretable machine learning prediction model for inpatient fall events using EMR integration formats.

Preaxial or radial polydactyly is one of the most common hand congenital anomalies in newborns. Contemporary reconstruction methods include ligament reconstruction, excision of the polydactylous thumb, osteotomy, and other surgical techniques according to the type of polydactyly. The purpose of this study was to report mid-term to long-term reconstruction results for thumb (radial) polydactyly.We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of patients who underwent reconstruction surgery for preaxial polydactyly. Clinical outcomes, including the range of motion (ROM), pain, and complications, were evaluated. We assessed the final radiographs of the reconstructed thumb to identify the potential development of arthritis or other remaining deformities. After excluding cases without a simple radiograph and cases with a short follow-up period of fewer than 5 years, 26 thumbs were included. The surgical technique followed including excision of polydactylout thumb was tailored to the type of polydactyly. If the nail size of the thumbs was similar, the Bilhaut-Cloquet method was preferred.The mean age of the patients at the surgery and final follow-up was 14.9 months (range: 8 to 30 mo) and 11.9 years (range: 5.8 to 19.3 y), respectively. The mean follow-up was 128.8 months years (range: 60 to 219 mo), and the mean ROM of the thumb was 32.7 and 57.5 degrees in the distal interphalangeal joint (DIP) and metacarpophalangeal (MP) joint, respectively. Ulnar or radial side instability was prominent in 7 patients in the involved joints (26.9%). One patient underwent interphalangeal (IP) fusion for extension lag with pain. The radiologic evaluation revealed that 2 patients developed radiographic evidence of IP joint arthritis (7.7%). Radial deviation of the MP or IP joint existed in 13 cases (range: 5 to 40 degrees) (50.0%), and ulnar deviation of the MP or IP joint existed in 2 cases (range: 19 to 20 degrees) (7.7%).In mid-term to long-term experience, sequelae such as joint instability, joint stiffness, and remaining deformity cannot be neglected. An unstable MP joint may result if the DIP joint remains stiff or has a lower ROM.Level IV-therapeutic studies.

Despite advances in obstetric care, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) remains a significant disease burden. Using a national dataset, we determined the trends of HIE prevalence, the use of therapeutic hypothermia (TH), mortality, and outcomes from 2012 to 2019. This study included term infants diagnosed with HIE (International Classification of Diseases-10 code: G93.1) between 2012 and 2019 from the National Health Insurance Service database. The prevalence of HIE was 23.7 per 10,000 birth without significant change during the period. The mortality among all term infants with HIE was 4.6% (range: 3.1–6.2%). TH was performed in approximately 6.7% of infants with HIE and the annual variation was large, ranging from 2.4–12.5%. Infants with TH showed significantly higher mortality, nitric oxide usage, and invasive ventilator usage than those without TH. Imperforate anus is an anomaly caused by a defect in the development of the hindgut during early pregnancy. It is a relatively common congenital malformation and is more common in males. Although there are cases of a solitary imperforate anus, the condition is more commonly found as a part of a wider spectrum of other congenital anomalies. Although urgent reconstruc tive anorectal surgery is not necessary, immediate evaluation is important and urgent decom pressive surgery may be required. Moreover, as there are often other anomalies that can affect management, prenatal diagnosis can help in optimizing perinatal care and prepare parents through prenatal counseling. In the past, imperforate anus was diagnosed by prenatal ultraso nography based on indirect signs such as bowel dilatation or intraluminal calcified meconium. Currently, it is diagnosed by directly checking the perineum with prenatal ultrasonography. De spite advances in ultrasound technology, accurate prenatal diagnosis is impossible in most cases and imperforate anus is detected after birth. Here, we present two cases of imperforate anus in female fetuses that were not diagnosed prenatally.

Pheochromocytoma (PCC) occurs in 4% of pediatric neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) patients and is mostly characterized by epinephrine and norepinephrine secretion. Herein, we report the first case of a dopamine-secreting PCC in a 13-year-old patient with NF1, in whom a left adrenal mass was incidentally found on abdominal computed tomography (CT) during hypertension workup. Fractionated 24-h urine metanephrine excretion was normal but urine dopamine level was elevated. On 123I-metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) single photon emission tomography/CT (SPECT/CT), focal MIBG uptake was observed. Our multidisciplinary team determined that surgery would be difficult to perform because the tumor was small and the symptoms were vague, with only increased dopamine level. After six months, the tumor increased in size on abdominal CT, with focal significant uptake of the lesion on 6-[18F]fluoro-L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (18F-FDOPA) PET/CT. Laparoscopic resection was performed, and the mass was histologically confirmed as PCC. Currently, the vital signs of the patient are stable, urine dopamine levels are normal, and there is no abnormal uptake of 18F-FDOPA PET/CT. This study reports a case of a rare dopamine-secreting PCC. When metanephrine is negative in patients at high risk of PCC, focused examination and multidisciplinary approach are needed.

We aimed to investigate the changes in vitamin D levels and factors associated with vitamin D deficiency (VDD) during the first year of life in Korean preterm infants. We enrolled 333 preterm infants who were born at Kyungpook National University Children’s Hospital between March 2013 and December 2019. 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OHD) levels and medical records were collected at birth, 6 months, and 12 months of age. The mean gestational age was 33.4 ± 2.3 weeks and mean 25-OHD levels at birth were 18.2 ± 13.5 ng/mL. The incidence of VDD was 82.8%, 30.6%, and 27.0% at birth, 6 months, and 12 months, respectively. The incidence of severe VDD (25-OHD &lt, 10 ng/mL) was 31.5%, 1.5%, and 0%, at birth, 6 months, and 12 months, respectively. Among infants with severe VDD, the deficiency persisted in 49.6% at 6 months, and 35.3% at 12 months. The strongest predictor of VDD during follow-up was 25-OHD concentration at birth. Vitamin D supplementation at 400 IU/day did not affect vitamin D levels during the first year of life. Therefore, it is important to prevent neonatal VDD through maternal vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy. Further research is needed to determine the optimal vitamin D supplementation dose for Korean preterm infants.

Purpose This study compared the iron statuses of small for gestational age (SGA) and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infants at birth. Methods The clinical data of 904 newborn infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit were reviewed. Blood samples were drawn from the infants within 24 hours after birth. Serum ferritin level was used as a marker of total iron status. Results In this study, 115 SGA (GA, 36.5±2.9 weeks; birth weight [BW], 1,975±594.5 g) and 717 AGA (GA, 35.1±3.5 weeks; BW, 2,420.3±768.7 g) infants were included. We aimed to investigate the correlation between vitamin D status in cord blood and fecal calprotectin concentrations in meconium, and also find their association with intestinal distress symptoms during the first two weeks of life. Two hundred and twenty-eight newborns were enrolled in the study who were delivered at Kyungpook National University Children&rsquo, s Hospital between July 2016 and August 2017. The first passed meconium samples were collected for fecal calprotectin analysis. Intestinal distress involved infants with necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and other feeding interruption signs. The median gestational age of the population was 37.0 (34.3&ndash, 38.4) weeks, and the median birth weight was 2635 (2100&ndash, 3268) g. The median fecal calprotectin levels in meconium were 134.1 (55.6&ndash, 403.2) &mu, g/g (range: 11.5&ndash, 2000 &mu, g/g) and the median 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OHD) concentrations in cord blood were 21.0 (15.5&ndash, 28.8) ng/mL. Sixty infants (26.3%) had intestinal distress, including four patients (1.8%) diagnosed as having NEC. Higher fecal calprotectin concentrations (398.2 (131.8&ndash, 900.2) &mu, g/g vs. 105.6 (39.4&ndash, 248.5) &mu, g/g, p &lt, 0.001) and lower 25-OHD levels (17.9 (12.8&ndash, 22.1) ng/mL vs. 23.2 (17.2&ndash, 33.0) ng/mL, p &lt, 0.001) were found in infants with intestinal distress compared to infants without intestinal distress. The cut-off value was set at 359.8 &mu, g/g with a sensitivity of 0.53 and a specificity of 0.82 for the development of intestinal distress in the first two weeks of life. Serum 25-OHD levels in cord blood were inversely correlated with fecal calprotectin concentrations in meconium.

The clinical application of the multi-echo, multi-delay technique of synthetic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) generates multiple sequences in a single acquisition but has mainly been used in adults. To evaluate the image quality of synthetic brain MR in children compared with that of conventional images. Twenty-nine children (median age: 6 years, range: 0–16 years) underwent synthetic and conventional imaging. Synthetic (T2-weighted, T1-weighted and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery [FLAIR]) images with settings matching those of the conventional images were generated. The overall image quality, gray/white matter differentiation, lesion conspicuity and image degradations were rated on a 5-point scale. The relative contrasts were assessed quantitatively and acquisition times for the two imaging techniques were compared. Purpose: Forced expiratory flow between 25% and 75% (FEF25%-75%) is known to sensitively reflect bronchial obstruction. Methacho line challenge test (MCT) has shown varying reduction levels of forced vital capacity (FVC) with the reduction in forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) in asthma. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical implication of provocative concentration causing a 20% fall in FEF25%-75% (PC20-FEF25%-75%) and the percentage fall in FVC at the PC20 dose of methacholine (△FVC). Methods: A total of 194 children who visited the hospital due to respiratory symptoms and underwent MCT were analyzed retro spectively. The patients were divided into 3 groups. Group I had both PC20-FEV1 and PC20-FEF25%-75% above 16 mg/mL; group II had a PC20-FEF25%-75% that fell below 16 mg/mL but PC20-FEV1 was 16 mg/mL or above; group III had a PC20-FEV1 and a PC20-FEF25%-75% that both fell below 16 mg/mL. Intussusception is a common cause of intestinal obstruction in 6-18 months of age. However, in preterm infants, it is an extremely rare disease. The symptoms of intussusception in preterm infants are similar to those of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Most preterm infants can often be clinically diagnosed with NEC. The NEC and small bowel intussusception treatments are different. In case of NEC, antibiotics and nothing per oral should be used, but small bowel intussusception could be resolved by spontaneous reduction or it should be treated with bowel reduction or bowel resection with laparotomy in case of symptomatic patients. Because of different treatments, an accurate and urgent diagnosis following clinical suspicion is critical using abdominal X-ray and ultrasonography. In this report, we present a case of small bowel intussusception in a premature infant with gestational age of 27 weeks and birth weight of 1,070 g who was diagnosed based on rapid clinical suspicion and prompt image studies.

Purpose We investigated the vitamin D status of preterm infants to determine the incidence of vitamin D deficiency. Methods A total of 278 preterm infants delivered at Kyungpook National University Hospital between January 2013 and May 2015 were enrolled. The serum concentrations of calcium, phosphorous, alkaline phosphatase, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OHD) were measured at birth. We collected maternal and neonatal data such as maternal gestational diabetes, premature rupture of membranes, maternal preeclampsia, birth date, gestational age, and birth weight. Results Mean gestational age was 33+5±2+2 weeks of gestation and mean 25-OHD concentrations were 10.7±6.4 ng/mL. The Manchester-Oxford Foot Questionnaire (MOXFQ) is a practical, reliable, and valid questionnaire for hallux valgus surgery and has been translated into several languages. However, the MOXFQ has not been translated into Korean. In the present study, we aimed to translate and evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the MOXFQ for patients affected by hallux valgus. In accordance with the guidelines of cross-cultural adaptation, we translated the English version of MOXFQ into Korean and then backward translated it into English. We sent out letters that included the Korean version of the MOXFQ, a visual analog scale measure of pain, and a validated Korean version of the short-form 36-item Health Survey to 135 patients with hallux valgus. A retest was administered after 2 weeks. Of the 135 patients, 104 responded to the first questionnaire, and 82 of the first-time responders returned their second questionnaires. We evaluated the test–retest reliability, internal consistency, concurrent validity, and construct validity of the Korean version of the MOXFQ. The intraclass correlation coefficient for test–retest reliability was 0.82 for the total MOXFQ and ranged from 0.81 to 0.82 for the 3 subscales. Cronbach's alpha for the total MOXFQ was 0.85 and ranged from 0.8 to 0.92 for the 3 subscales. Concurrent and construct validity was supported by significant correlation with the visual analog scale and short-form 36-item Health Survey subscale scores. The Korean version of the MOXFQ was tested, and it was found to be a valid and reliable instrument for patients with hallux valgus.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the clinical experience of amplitude-integrated electroencephalogram (aEEG) in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and to evaluate the usefulness of the aEEG and to determine whether an EEG could help to identify high risk infants with later epilepsy. Methods: Clinical data of 200 newborn infants admitted to the NICU and monitored with aEEG were reviewed retrospectively. A single- or two-channel aEEG (electrode placement P3-P4 for single, C3-C4 and P3-P4 for two) was recorded continuously by using gold cups. Background activity was assessed based on voltage and pattern recognition methods. To assess for differences in later epilepsy among infants with abnormal versus normal results, chi-square test was employed with odd ratio. Results: Overall, 200 newborn infants were included. About half showed abnormal findings on aEEG monitoring with 34.5% abnormal background activity, 30.0% abnormal cyclicity, and 30.0% with seizures. PURPOSE We investigated the iron status of very low birth weight infants receiving multiple erythrocyte transfusions during hospitalization in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). METHODS We enrolled 46 very low birth weight infants who were admitted to the Kyungpook National University Hospital between January 2012 and December 2013. Serum ferritin was measured on their first day of life and weekly thereafter. We collected individual data of the frequency and volume of erythrocyte transfusion and the amount of iron intake. RESULTS A total of 38 (82.6%) of very low birth weight infants received a mean volume of 99.3±93.5 mL of erythrocyte transfusions in NICU. The minimum and maximum serum ferritin levels during hospitalization were 146.2±114.9 ng/mL and 456.7±361.9 ng/mL, respectively. The total volume of erythrocyte transfusion was not correlated to maximum serum ferritin concentrations after controlling for the amount of iron intake (r=0.012, p=0.945). This paper compared the properties of cosmetics depending on the shopping tendency of female consumers in Korea and China. The data on Chinese women living in Korea and Korean women in their 20s was collected using an offline survey. The data on Chinese women living in China in their 20s was collected using an online survey. Three hundred twenty-seven questionnaires out of a total of 330 questionnaires were used for statistical analysis. The survey was conducted from January to February 2014. Eighteen questions on shopping tendency and eight questions on the properties of cosmetics were analyzed using a 5-point Likert scale. Data was analyzed by Descriptives, Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, ANOVA and Cluster Analysis, and SPSS 21 statistical program. In accordance with the analyses, the shopping tendency comprised a showing-off tendency, pleasure-seeking tendency, and practicality tendency; the properties of cosmetics were classified into conformity and functionality. On the basis of the elements in the shopping tendency, the female consumers were categorized into a low involvement consumer group, high involvement consumer group, and hedonic consumer group. The Chinese women emphasized conformity or functionality of cosmetics more than the Korean women regardless of the countries where they lived. Regardless of shopping types or countries where they lived, the Korean and Chinese women in their 20s emphasized functionality over conformity of cosmetics. Furthermore, Chinese women living in Korea showed a similar shopping tendency to Chinese living in China.

Although translated versions of the Foot Function Index (FFI) in several languages are available, the absence of a Korean version has precluded comparing the data from Korea with the data from other countries using the FFI. We, therefore, evaluated the reliability and validity of the adapted Korean version of the FFI. We translated the English version of the FFI into Korean and back into English. We mailed the Korean version of the visual analog scale, FFI, and the previously validated Medical Outcomes Study Short-Form 36-item questionnaire (SF-36) to 121 patients with treated foot complaints. To evaluate the test-retest reliability and internal consistency, we used the intraclass correlation coefficient and Cronbach's α, respectively. We also evaluated the concurrent and construct validity of Korean version of the FFI by comparing the visual analog scale and SF-36. Cronbach's α was 0.91 and 0.95 for the pain and disability subscales, respectively. The reproducibility was good, and a strong correlation between the FFI and the SF-36 and visual analog scale with related content was observed, indicating good construct validity.The Korean version of the FFI is a reliable and valid questionnaire for the self-assessment of pain and disability in Korean patients with foot complaints.

Background Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is a rare birth injury in term infants. Newborn infants with cephalohematoma (CH) associated with ICH, however, have frequently been found incidentally at Kyungpook National University Hospital; many of them had no neurological symptoms. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical manifestations of ICH in newborn infants with CH. Methods Newborn infants with CH in the neonatal intensive care unit were retrospectively evaluated. During period I (5 years), neuroimaging (brain computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging) was performed when intracranial abnormalities were suspected. During period II (36 months) neuroimaging was performed when CH > 5 cm in diameter was present. Results During period I, seven out of 19 infants who underwent neuroimaging had ICH (36.8%) including two epidural hemorrhages (EDH). During period II, 18 out of 27 infants who underwent neuroimaging had ICH (66.7%), including two EDH. There was no significant difference in the clinical manifestations between infants with and without ICH. In 10 cases of CH accompanied with a linear skull fracture, nine had ICH, including all cases of ICH that needed intervention. Conclusions The association of ICH appears to be common in newborn infants with CH; particularly in infants with CH accompanied with a skull fracture, the rate of ICH was very high, and all cases of EDH requiring intervention were associated with skull fracture. Therefore, evaluation of accompanying skull fracture should be required in infants with CH, and, in cases of skull fracture, neuroimaging should be considered.

This study examined the effect of beauty involvement on self-satisfaction by conspicuous consumption ten- dency groups. A questionnaire method was used for this study. The subjects of this research were females in their 20s~50s. We distributed 580 questionnaires ets; constantly, 554 sets were used in the final analysis. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, cluster analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Beauty con- sumption behavior factors were classified with hair styling, skin management, make-up and body shaping. Self-satisfaction factors were classified with living, appearance, economic and interpersonal relation. This study classified 4 conspicuous consumption groups (active, passive, syntonic and individuality & frugal group). The active conspicuous consumption group was unsatisfied with most of the self-satisfaction factors. The passive conspicuous consumption group was more interested in skin management factors than other factors. The syntonic conspicuous consumption group was interested in make-up, body shaping and skin management in order to provide a positive impression to other people. The indi- viduality & frugal group was most interested in body shaping that could be achieved at low cost through exercise and diet.

The purpose of this study was examine the effects of the conspicuous consumption tendency by age on fashion involvement. Questionnaires were distributed to 554 females in their 20s-50s. for the final analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, as a result of the examination of the differences between conspicuous consumption and fash- ion involvement by age, people in their 20s showed the highest conspicuous consumption and fashion involvement. Sec- ond, as a result of the analysis of the effects of the conspicuous consumption by age on the fashion involvement, people in their 20s and 30s influenced the appearance management among the factors of the individuality pursuit orientation and those in the 40s physical supplementation and appearance management and those in the 50s the physical supplementation and sexual appeal. The brand orientation factor influenced social symbol to all the people in their 20s to 50s and the high price orientation factor did not influence any of the people in their 20s to 50s. The trend pursuit orientation factor showed its influence on appearance management to those in their 30s and sexual appeal and conformity to those in their 40s.

This study examines the effects of fashion and beauty consumption behavior on self-satisfaction. A questionnaire method was used for the study method and the subjects of the study were females in their 20s- 50s. A total of 580 sets of questionnaires were distributed and 554 sets were used for the final analysis; in addition, SPSS 12.0 statistics program was utilized for factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were: First, the factors of fashion consumption behavior are composed of physical supplementation, social symbolism, appearance styling, sexuality and conformity and those of beauty involvement consisted of hair styling, skin management, make-up and body shaping. Self-satisfaction was divided into living satisfaction, appearance satisfaction, economic satisfaction and interpersonal relations satisfaction. Second, (because of the examination of the effects of fashion consumption behavior on self-satisfaction) fashion physical supplementation and appearance styling of fashion consumption behavior influenced living satisfaction and interpersonal relations satisfaction for females in their 20s. However, fashion consumption behavior did not influence satisfaction for those in their 30s. It was shown that the social conformity factor of fashion consumption behavior influenced appearance satisfaction of self- satisfaction for those in their 40s and the conformity factor of fashion consumption behavior gave a negative influence on life satisfaction and economic satisfaction of self-satisfaction for those in their 50s. It was found (for beauty consumption behavior) that the body-shaping factor influenced economic satisfaction and interpersonal relations satisfaction of self-satisfaction for all age levels.

This study examines the fashion and beauty involvement according to a conspicuous consumption tendency. Questionnaires were used for female university students in their 20s and employees residing in Busan. The results of this study are as follows: The subfactors of conspicuous consumption tendency were divided into the individual pursuit orientation, brand orientation, high price orientation, and fashion pursuit orientation. The subfactors of fashion involvement were composed of physical supplementations, social symbols, outward appearance direction, sex appeal, and assimilation; in addition, those of beauty involvement consisted of hair design, skin management, make-up application, and shape management. Because of the examination of the differences, fashion involvement, and beauty involvement, conspicuous consumption tendency had a significant difference between the two groups in brand orientation, fashion in physical supplementation and outward appearance direction as well as beauty involvement in skin management and make-up direction. The conspicuous consumption tendency in the student influences the fashion pursuit orientation of fashion and beauty involvement because of the examination of the effect. Conspicuous consumption tendency in employees influences the individuality pursuing orientation and high price orientation in fashion involvement. In conclusion, the results show the tendency that university students put the most importance on fashion for fashion and beauty related product purchases and management direction; in addition, employees with income pursue high prices that can show their positions and economic power at work.

This study compares by gender the preference about ideal female height and body parts. Data was collected through a survey of 203 males and 236 females. The results are as follows: Males and females prefer 161~165cm as the ideal female height and 176~180cm as the ideal male height. In regards to the ideal height difference between couples, both males and females prefer males to be taller, with the head of the female at the same height as the neck of the male. Males and females prefer the shorter height than the ideal height of a fashion model and Miss Korea who got the prize from the korean beauty contest. In the case of Miss Korea, there has been a demand for tall women to participate in world beauty contests. However, this study shows that young people prefer a shorter height than the society expects. Males and females think the shoulder width is ideal when it is 2 times wider than the width of a face in regards to the preference of the ideal female body parts. There is a difference between males and females in the ideal breast size. Males prefer C-cup size while females prefer B-cup size. The ideal size of waist preferred is between 60~65cm to both males and females. The ideal shape of legs preferred to both males and females is a slightly muscular shape.

The purpose of this study was to classify the casual image by clothing design elements. This research was done by survey method with 30 kinds of casual image photos selected in fashion magazines. The data was analyzed by Reliability Analysis, Factor Analysis, ANOVA, Duncan`s test and MDS. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Casual image was classified by 6 factors. Those were classic-casual, modern-casual, romantic-casual, vintage-casual, sexy-casual and active-casual images. 2. Classic-casual image was well-expressed by A silhouette, fit, chromatic and chromatic color coordinations and hard texture. Modern-casual image was well-expressed by H silhouette, fit and achromatic and achromatic color coordinations. Romantic-casual image was well-expressed by A silhouette, fit and soft texture. Vintage-casual image was well-expressed by H silhouette, combination apparel-fit, chromatic and chromatic color coordinations and fade-out texture. Sexy-casual image was well-expressed by fitted silhouette, tight apparel-fit and combination texture. 3. Casual image was positioned into mostly dynamic and modern on image scale.

The aim of this study was to compare and contrast the changes in wedding coordination between the end of 20th and the beginning 21st centuries. one wedding magazine was selected and used to supply data. four hundred and thirty one wedding photos were examined from a popular wedding magazine called "My Wedding", issued between 1993 and 2007. the results are described below. First, changes in make-up and hair style: from the end of 20th to the beginning of 21 st centuries, the style of make-up changed from being exaggerated with strong colors which made the typical brides make-up to utilizing the minimal color selection which made natural-looking. the hair style has also changed from up style to natural hair style. Second, changes in wedding gowns: the style of wedding gowns changed from the shapes of X line which was to cover the body figure of bride to simple shapes such as an strapless and fish-tail style of gowns. Third, changes in wedding jewelry and accessories: hair pieces consisted of large flower crowns and hair bands with flowers in the end of 20th century. the various sizes and colors of tiaras and crowns were popular in the beginning of 21 st century. for wedding accessories, large shapes of earrings and necklaces were popular at the end of 20th century, whereas various size and styles were more fashionable later on. in conclusion, brides in the beginning of 21 st century prefer to wear sexy or alluring dresses with natural hair styles and make-up, in contrast to the classic or traditional wedding outfits that were more popular at the end of 20th century.

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the personal color types and personality types and analyze the differences in color preference according to the personal color types and personality types. This study was conducted by using questionnaire method and drape diagnosis method in parallel. The results are as follows. First, in case of introversion (I), the summer type took the most and spring, fall, and winter type followed respectively. Also in the case of extroversion (E), the summer type took the most and spring, fall, and winter type followed respectively. Second, the spring type preferred yellow, the summer type, blue, the fall type, brown, and winter type, blue the most. For the preference of the tone of color, all 4 types preferred the pastel tones the most. For the lipstick colors, the spring and summer type preferred the pink color, the fall type, orange and winter type, red the most. For eye shadows, the spring type preferred orange, summer type, blue, fall type, orange and winter type, pink. For nail colors, all 4 types preferred pink the most. Third, the most preferred color for introversion (I) was red group. In contrast, the most preferred color for extroversion (E) was yellow group. In the tone of preferred colors, both introversion and extroversion preferred the pastel tones the most. In lipstick colors, eye shadow colors, and nail colors, both introversion and extroversion preferred the pink group colors the most.
