This paper proposes a stacked-capacitor pixel circuit for flexible AMOLED (Active Matrix-Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays based on the a-IGZO (Amorphous-Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) TFT (Thin Film Transistor). A calibrated HSPICE level-61 a-IGZO TFT model is used for CAD simulations. The proposed design compensates for VTH shifts in the TFT by employing a stacked capacitor configuration for threshold voltage detection. The simulated results show a percentage error in the OLED current of less than 0.04% for a maximum tensile and compressive strain of 0.3%. The circuit can suppress the error in OLED current to 1.83% for a VTH shift in the range of 0V to 2.1V, from the nominal 0.7V, with an input data voltage of 15V. Therefore, the proposed pixel circuit topology proves to be a highly reliable pixel architecture which can be effectively used in AMOLED displays. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During a disease outbreak, it is well known that marginalized groups, such as women, are affected the most. This is no different for the COVID-19 pandemic. In India especially, women engage more in household and childcare responsibilities than men and working women are currently experiencing a greater burden as they are required to work from home and manage these different roles at once, leading to multiple role conflict (MRC). The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the experience of multiple role conflicts among women working from home in joint and nuclear families during the COVID-19 pandemic in urban India. Semi-structured interviews were conducted on six women working from home in joint families and four from nuclear families. Thematic analysis was used and the themes were compared between both family structures. Participants from both family structures were found to share similar psychological consequences as a result of the role conflict. But, women from nuclear families reported a lack of moral support contrary to joint families. This study sheds light on the need for the provision of education, facilities and supports particularly by family development planners, therapists and organizations to aid women working from home in the pandemic. Online support groups are defined as a virtual community where people with common experiences come together to share, in doing so online support groups have created a niche where the aspects of mental health such as well-being come into play especially during the current times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current study aims to understand the role of participation in online support groups on mental well-being. The theoretical base for the study is the PERMA model of well-being as given by Seligman. The participants were selected using purposive sampling (N=6) and data collection was done using semi-structured interviews. The analysis employed was thematic analysis, post which 4 major themes emerged in the data i.e. attraction towards online support groups, socialising amongst members, mental health before and after participation. The results of the study answer the research questions showing that participation in online support groups has led to an improvement in the mental well-being of the participants by virtue of many factors, some being; providing a safe space, lack of judgement and an open space to express vulnerability. Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is associated with acute hepatitis disease, which may lead to chronic disease in immunocompromised individuals. The disease is particularly severe among pregnant women (20–30% mortality). The only licensed vaccine against HEV, which is available in China, is the Escherichia coli purified recombinant virus-like particles (VLPs) encompassing the 368–660 amino acids (aa) of the viral ORF2 protein. The viral capsid is formed by the ORF2 protein, which harbors three glycosylation sites. Baculo virus expression system has been employed to generate a glycosylated VLP, which encompasses 112–608aa of the ORF2 protein. Here, we sought to produce a recombinant VLP containing 112–608aa of the ORF2 protein in Pichia pastoris (P. pastoris) expression system. The cDNA sequence encoding 112–608aa of the ORF2 protein was fused with the α-mating factor secretion signal coding sequence (for release of the fusion protein to the culture medium) and cloned into the yeast vector pPICZα. Optimum expression of recombinant protein was obtained at 72 h induction in 1.5% methanol using inoculum density (A600) of 80 and at pH-3.0 of the culture medium. Identity of the purified protein was confirmed by mass spectrometry analysis. Further studies revealed the glycosylation pattern and VLP nature of the purified protein. Immunization of BALB/c mice with these VLPs induced potent immune response as evidenced by the high ORF2 specific IgG titer and augmented splenocyte proliferation in a dose dependent manner. 112–608aa ORF2 VLPs produced in P. pastoris appears to be a suitable candidate for development of diagnostic and prophylactic reagents against the hepatitis E.
