A escritora paulista Dinah Silveira de Queiroz (1911-1982) produziu ao longo de sua carreira literária uma extensa obra, e transitou pelos mais diferentes gêneros: romance histórico, ficção científica, conto, teatro. Outro gênero, que trouxe grande notoriedade para a escritora, foi a crônica: Dinah escreveu milhares desses textos ao longo de sua vida, os quais eram veiculados tanto em meios impressos quanto lidos em programas de rádio. Para além disso, a escritora teve uma intensa atuação nos círculos intelectuais, fato que ficou registrado nas folhas de jornais e revistas de sua época. Assim sendo, o objetivo principal deste trabalho é recuperar alguns dos acontecimentos que demonstram entrelaçamento entre a vida de Dinah, enquanto escritora e intelectual, e as páginas da imprensa. Dentre esses, se destacam os esforços de Dinah para possibilitar o ingresso de mulheres na Academia Brasileira de Letras. Com isso, ainda, também é visado trazer uma contribuição para a leitura e o estudo de uma autora que é uma quase desconhecida nos dias de hoje.

This work has as main objective to analyze the main character of the novel Margarida La Rocque: a ilha dos demônios (1949), by Dinah Silveira de Queiroz. The author produced wide and diversified work – which transited from historical novel to scientific fiction. The narratives of the writer, in general, are centered in female characters, and, in Margarida, this character shows herself a woman who seeks new possible paths for herself. This way, the novel is among those ones belonging to a transition phase in which the asymmetries of gender relations were beginning to be put under discussion. Thus, the theoretical foundation of this research consists largely of feminist theory and criticism; for this, Brazilian scholars such as Rita Schmidt, Constância Lima Duarte, Ruth Silviano Brandão have been privileged, among others. But authors such as Simone de Beauvoir, Elaine Showalter, were also used, besides the study of Joanne Frye about the female narrator-character. Este trabalho tem como objetivo central analisar a protagonista do romance Margarida La Rocque: a ilha dos demônios (1949), de Dinah Silveira de Queiroz. A autora produziu uma vasta e diversificada obra - que transitou do romance histórico à ficção científica. As narrativas da escritora, em geral, são centradas em personagens femininas e, em Margarida, essa personagem mostra- se uma mulher que busca novos caminhos possíveis para si. Dessa forma, o romance coloca-se dentre aqueles pertencentes a uma fase de transição em que começavam a ser postas em discussão as assimetrias das relações de gênero. Sendo assim, a fundamentação teórica desta pesquisa consiste em grande parte na teoria e na crítica feminista; para tal, foram privilegiadas estudiosas brasileiras como Rita Schmidt, Constância Lima Duarte, Ruth Silviano Brandão, dentre outras. Mas foram utilizadas, também, autoras como Simone de Beauvoir, Elaine Showalter, além do estudo de Joanne Frye sobre a narradora-personagem feminina.

Ao alinhar a teoria e a cr?tica feminista aos postulados do fil?sofo franc?s, ? poss?vel perceber uma identidade narrativa constru?da na temporalidade do romance em que se revela uma personagem mulher-sujeito que assume os rumos da pr?pria hist?ria, inclusive porque a narra com sua pr?pria voz. Ainda que a personagem tenha algumas limita??es na sua atua??o como um sujeito aut?nomo e carregue, em certa medida, algumas caracter?sticas das personagens femininas estereotipadas, a leitura do romance indica uma protagonista em que se reconhece o elemento da transgress?o. Seeking to show how the identity that is constructed for the protagonist reveals a feminine character in disagreement with the stereotypes of woman in literature, it was also used the concept of narrative identity, by Paul Ricoeur. By aligning feminist theory and criticism to the postulates of the French philosopher, it is possible to perceive a narrative identity constructed in the temporality of the novel in which it is revealed a woman-subject character that assumes the course of her own story, inclusive because she narrates with her own voice. Even that the character has some limitations in her acting as an autonomous subject and carries, in a certain way, some characteristics of the stereotyped feminine characters, the reading of the novel indicates a protagonist in whom we recognize the element of transgression. This work aims to analyze in which way the feminine authorship literature is approached in the textbooks of “Portuguese” curricular component – that also cover the study of literature – from High School, in specific in the books of the three most distributed collections in the country from the Guide of Textbook National Program (Guia do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático - PNLD) 2015. Aiming to contextualize this analysis, it was done a research of bibliographic approach about the woman as a writer, about the presence of feminine authorship in the history of the Brazilian literature and finally about the feminist criticism. The hypothesis of this research is that the phenomenon – broadly studied – of the erasure of literature produced by women of the Brazilian literary history still manifests nowadays, in several ways. One of them would be the little space reserved to the feminine writing inside the literary history traced in the textbooks. The hypothesis is confirmed in the end of the analysis, since that only a tiny number of writers received, in the analyzed books, some type of study that surpasses the mere mention of their names. Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar de que forma a literatura de autoria feminina é abordada nos livros didáticos do componente curricular “Português” – que abrangem também o estudo da literatura - do Ensino Médio, em específico nos livros das três coleções mais distribuídas no país do Guia do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) 2015. Visando contextualizar essa análise, foi feita uma pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico sobre a mulher enquanto escritora, sobre a presença da autoria feminina na história da literatura brasileira e por fim sobre a crítica feminista. A hipótese desta pesquisa é a de que o fenômeno - amplamente estudado - do apagamento da literatura produzida por mulheres da história literária brasileira manifesta-se atualmente, de maneiras diversas. Uma delas seria o pouco espaço reservado à escrita feminina dentro da história literária traçada nos livros didáticos. A hipótese confirma-se ao fim da análise, visto que apenas um ínfimo número de escritoras recebeu, nos livros analisados, algum tipo de estudo que ultrapassasse a simples menção de seu nome.

Background. In human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the relative contribution of genetic background, clinical risk factors, and antiretrovirals to chronic kidney disease (CKD) is unknown., Methods. We applied a case-control design and performed genome-wide genotyping in white Swiss HIV Cohort participants with normal baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR >90 mL/minute/1.73 m(2)). Univariable and multivariable CKD odds ratios (ORs) were calculated based on the Data Collection on Adverse Events of Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D) score, which summarizes clinical CKD risk factors, and a polygenic risk score that summarizes genetic information from 86 613 single-nucleotide polymorphisms., Results. We included 743 cases with confirmed eGFR drop to = 25% eGFR drop to, Conclusions. Genetic score increased CKD risk similar to clinical D:A:D score and potentially nephrotoxic antiretrovirals. Irrespective of D:A:D score, individuals with the most favorable genetic background may be protected against CKD.

BACKGROUND Since the advent of universal test and treat policies, a higher share of people living with HIV (PLHIV) initiating ART are asymptomatic with a preserved immune system. We explored the potential impact of asymptomatic status on adherence and clinical outcomes. METHODS PLHIV registered in the Swiss HIV Cohort Study (SHCS) between 2003 and 2018. Asymptomatic: CDC-stage A within 30 days of starting ART. Non-adherence: any self-reported missed doses. Viral failure: viral load>50 copies/mL on two consecutive measurements after >24 weeks on ART. Using logistic regression models, we measured the variables associated with asymptomatic status and adherence and Cox proportional hazard models to assess the association between symptom status and viral failure. RESULTS Of 7131 PLHIV, 76% started ART when asymptomatic. In multivariable logistic regression models, asymptomatic PLHIV were more likely to be younger, men having sex with men, more educated, having unprotected sex, have a stable HIV-positive partner, lower viral load, and have started ART in later calendar years. Asymptomatic status was not associated with reported non-adherence during follow-up (OR 1.03, 95% CI: 0.93-1.15) while 1478 PLHIV (22%) experienced viral failure a median of 1.9 years (IQR: 1.1-4.2) after starting ART. Asymptomatic PLHIV were at a decreased risk of viral failure (adjusted hazard ratio 0.87, 95% CI: 0.76-1.00, p=0.05) and less likely to develop resistance (14% versus 27%, p
