10. Sustained oxygen release of hydrogen peroxide-acrylic resin inclusion complex for aquaculture.

Abstract

To overcome the lack of dissolved oxygen in high-density aquaculture water, a hydrogen peroxide-acrylic resin inclusion complex with sustained oxygen releasing effect was designed and prepared. The resin was synthesized by emulsion polymerization of acrylic acid, methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate in a mass ratio of 2: 3: 5, and neutralized with sodium hydroxide solution by 50%. The resin solution was mixed in a mixture of urea and 30% hydrogen peroxide solution (CO(NH2)2: H2O2, 1: 1, mol: mol), and dried at 40 °C for 4 h to obtain the hydrogen peroxide-acrylic resin inclusion complex. The product with 4.0% resin by mass of hydrogen oxygen solution, could release oxygen for 92 h in pond water. After optimization by adding a small amount of NaCl, Na2SO4, and EDTA, it was mixed with calcium carbonate and magnesium stearate in a mass ratio of 5: 4: 0.9, and pressed into tablets (1.2 × 0.6 cm, 0.99 g). One tablet in 50 L simulated micro ecosystem aquaculture water with 20 of Carassius auratus fish could release oxygen for 116 h and brought fish with 83.3% of survival rate higher than 51.7 and 70.0% of blank and sodium percarbonate groups. Abstract

Nowadays the utilization of aspheric lenses has become more and more popular, enabling highly increased degree of freedom for optical design and simultaneously improving the performance of optical systems. Fast and accurate surface profiling of these aspheric components is a real demand in characterization and optimization of the optical systems. In this paper, a novel and simple surface profiler instrument is designed and developed to fulfill the ever increasing need of testing the axially symmetric aspheric surface. The proposed instrument is implemented based on a unique mapping between the position and rotation angle of the reflective mirror in optical path and the coordinate of reflection point on the surface during rapid laser beam scanning. High accuracy of the proposed surface profiling method is ensured by a high-resolution grating guide rail, indexing plate, and position sensitive detector based on laser auto-collimation and beam center-fitting. Testing the meridian line of both convex and concave surfaces has been experimentally demonstrated using the developed instrument. In comparison to tested results from conventional image measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines, coefficient of determination better than 0.999 99 and RMS less than 1.5 μm have been achieved, which validates the feasibility of this method. Analysis on the systematic error is beneficial to further improve its measurement accuracy. The presented instrument-essentially builds on the geometrical optics technique-provides a powerful tool to measure the aspheric surfaces quickly and accurately with stable structure and simple algorithm.

Hence this also entails a stringent requirement for fast and accurate measuring the shape of these aspheric components. In this paper, the instrument is greatly developed to satisfy the growing need to test axially symmetric aspheric surface, which is implemented by converting the pose of reflective mirror in optical path to the coordinate of reflection point on the surface when laser rapidly scans . At each movement position managed by grating-rule sensor, the rotating angle of reflective mirror is defined using position sensitive detector based on the laser auto-collimating and beam center-fitting principle. Testing a convex and a concave surfaces with highly reproducible results, including coefficient of determination better than 0.999 and RMSE less than =10, validates the feasibility of this method. In comparison to the conventional computer-generated hologram tester or interferometer, the present instrument—essentially builds on the pure geometrical optics technology—is a powerful tool to measure the aspheric surface quickly and accurately with simple structure and algorithm.
