Abstract

Link and match is one of the government programs to increase the relevance of vocational education to the needs of the industrial world. The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Malang runs this program with partner industries to develop a learning curriculum for vocational-based study programs. The learning curriculum developed includes lesson plans and learning modules based on the massive open online course (MOOC) on solar power plants in renewable energy courses. This MOOC development is based on the ADDIE development method. This MOOC is also structured to improve the technical skills and employability skills of students taking renewable energy courses, especially on the topic of solar power generation. MOOC validation was carried out by material and media experts from industry and academia and involved respondents, namely students. The results of the validation carried out obtained a validity level of 91.25%, so that the product is declared feasible to be implemented in learning. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about the interaction between the use of learning models and work motivation on the competence of knowledge, attitude, and skill in Programmable Logic Control Subject. The research conducted at this Vocational High School is an experimental research using the "Non Equivalent Control Group Design" research design, which involves two research subject, namely: (1) Class XI Electrical Power Installation Engineering Expertise Program-1 (taught by using a learning model). Based on problem); and (2) Class XI Electrical Power Installation Engineering Expertise Program-2 (taught by using the direct learning model). The study found: (1) there is a significant interaction between the use of learning models and work motivation on knowledge competence in Programmable Logic Control Subjects in Vocational High Schools, (Fcount=21.261 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05); (2) there is a significant interaction between the use of learning models and work motivation on attitude competence in Programmable Logic Control Subjects in Vocational High Schools (Fcount=8.902 with a significance level of 0.004 <0.05); and (3) there is a significant interaction between the use of learning models and work motivation on skill competencies in Programmable Logic Control Subjects in Vocational High Schools (Fcount=9.206 with a significance level of 0.004 <0.05). Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi UKM Petis Sidoarjo yaitu proses produksi petis kupang ini masih mengandalkan tenaga manusia yang dilakukan secara konvensional. Hal ini menyebabkan waktu pemasakan sekaligus pengadukan yang dibutuhkan dalam satu kali proses produksi relatif lama yakni 5 jam, proses pengadukan petis masih menggunakan tongkat kayu yang diaduk-aduk terus menerus menggunakan tangan, hal ini membutuhkan tenaga ekstra sehingga karyawan sering kelelahan, dan suhu kompor yang tidak stabil menyebabkan mitra harus sering memeriksa nyala api kompor agar petis tidak kematangan (gosong). Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka pada program pengabdian masyarakat ini akan diterapkan mesin pengaduk petis dilengkapi kontrol suhu. Metode pelaksanaan dalam PKM ini yaitu merancang, manufaktur, assembly, ujicoba mesin, serah terima mesin, pelatihan pengoperasian & perawatan mesin, dan pemantauan secara berkala. Hasil dari kegiatan penerapan mesin pengaduk petis di UKM mitra diantaranya: mempercepat proses pemasakan sekaligus pengadukan dari 5 jam menjadi 3 jam, Karyawan tidak kelelahan saat proses pengadukan karena dilakukan dengan pengerak motor listrik, dan suhu kompor dapat terkontrol dan diatur sesuai kebutuhan sehingga petis terhindar dari gorong dan menghemat konsumsi LPG., The problem faced by UKM Petis Sidoarjo is that the production process of petis kupang still uses human labor which is done conventionally. This causes the cooking time as well as the stirring required in one production process to be relatively long (5 hours). In the process of stirring the petis still using a wooden stick that is constantly stirred by hand, this requires extra effort so that employees are often tired, and the stove temperature is unstable, causing partners to frequently check so that the petis is not overcooked (burnt). To solve this problem, this community service program will apply a petis mixer machine. The implementation method in this activity is designing, manufacturing, assembly, machine testing, machine handover, machine operation and maintenance training, and periodic monitoring as well as financial management training and regular monitoring. The results of this activity included: accelerating the cooking process as well as stirring from 5 hours to 3 hours; employees are not exhausted during the stirring process because it is carried out by means of an electric motor; and the temperature of the stove can be controlled and adjusted as needed so that the petis is avoided from culverts and saves LPG consumption.

21. The implementation of Project-Based Learning in courses Audio Video to Improve Employability Skills

Abstract

This paper presents a project-based learning (PjBL) in subjects with Audio Video the Study Programme Electro Engineering Universitas Negeri Surabaya which consists of two ways namely the design of the prototype audio-video and assessment activities project-based learning tailored to the skills of the 21st century in the form of employability skills. The purpose of learning innovation is applying the lab work obtained in the theory classes. The PjBL aims to motivate students, centering on the problems of teaching in accordance with the world of work. Measures of learning include; determine the fundamental questions, designs, develop a schedule, monitor the learners and progress, test the results, evaluate the experience, project assessment, and product assessment. The results of research conducted showed the level of mastery of the ability to design tasks (of 78.6%), technical planning (39,3%), creativity (42,9%), innovative (46,4%), problem solving skills (the 57.1%), skill to communicate (75%), oral expression (75%), searching and understanding information (to 64.3%), collaborative work skills (71,4%), and classroom conduct (of 78.6%). In conclusion, instructors have to do the reflection and make improvements in some of the aspects that have a level of mastery of the skills less than 60% both on the application of project-based learning courses, audio video.
