Currently, many relevant problems about intuitive imagination literacy have been studied except the cognitive degree of pre-service high school mathematics teachers about it. To address this gap, this study investigates 51 pre-service high school mathematics teachers. Results showed that: (1) The cognitive scope of them about intuitive imagination literacy is not extensive, more than half of the content of intuitive imagination literacy is not recognized; (2) The cognition of many pre-service teachers is not deep or comprehensive and concentrates at a lower level; and (3) The cognition of many pre-service teachers for many aspects of intuitive imagination literacy is not very clear. It is suggested that: (1) experts and teachers who are responsible for educating teachers should pay more attention to intuitive imagination literacy and add relevant courses; and (2) pre-service high school mathematics teachers should understand the content of intuitive imagination literacy comprehensively and deeply, and clarify relevant statements.

Aims Methods Results Conclusion The study is to investigate how residual osteomyelitis at conservative surgical resection margins affects the prognosis of diabetic toe osteomyelitis.In this retrospective study, 67 participants with diabetic toe osteomyelitis who underwent conservative surgery were evaluated. The diagnosis of osteomyelitis was based on histopathology, and bone histopathology was done on the resection bone. After discharge, a 16‐week follow‐up was conducted, focusing on the wound healing time as the primary outcome. Cox regression analysis was employed as the primary method to analyse the risk factors that influence wound healing.Among the 67 participants, 48 (71.6%) had positive bone margins, while 19 (28.4%) had negative bone margins. Participants with positive bone margins experienced an average healing time of 60.78 ± 18.50 days, whereas those with negative bone margins had an average healing time of 55.19 ± 14.60 days (p = 0.285). Bone margins (positive vs. negative) did not have an impact on wound healing (HR, 1.195 [95% CI, 0.668–2.136]; p = 0.549). Ankle‐brachial index was identified as a factor influencing wound healing (HR, 5.399 [95% CI, 1.145–25.455]; p = 0.033). There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of wound healing rates (40 of 48 [83.3%] vs. 16 of 19 [84.2%], p = 0.93), inpatient days (19.48 ± 5.25 vs. 18.26 ± 4.79 days, p = 0.385) and duration of antibiotics (32.33 ± 5.64 vs. 30.53 ± 6.93 days, p = 0.272).The residual osteomyelitis in diabetic toe osteomyelitis post‐conservative surgery does not impact the wound healing. Developing low-cost, efficient alternatives to catalysts for bifunctional oxygen electrode catalysis in the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is critical for advancing the practical applications of alkaline fuel cells. In this study, Co particles and single atoms co-loaded on nitrogen-doped carbon (CoNC) were synthesized via pyrolysis of a C3N4 and cobalt nitrate mixture at varying temperatures (900, 950, and 1000 °C). The pyrolysis temperature and precursor ratios were found to significantly influence the ORR/OER performance of the resulting catalysts. The optimized CoNC-950 catalyst demonstrated exceptional ORR (E1/2 = 0.85 V) and OER (Ej10 = 320 mV) activities, surpassing commercial Pt/C + RuO2-based devices when used in a rechargeable zinc–air battery. Background and Purpose: KCNT1 encodes a sodium‐activated potassium channel (Slack channel), and its mutation can cause several forms of epilepsy. Traditional antiepileptic medications have limited efficacy in treating patients with KCNT1 mutations. Here, we describe one heterozygous KCNT1 mutation, M267T, in a patient with EIMFS. The pathological channel properties of this mutation and its effect on neuronal excitability were investigated. Additionally, this study aimed to develop a medication for effective prevention of KCNT1 mutation‐induced seizures. Experimental Approach: Wild‐type or mutant KCNT1 plasmids were expressed heterologously in Xenopus laevis oocytes, and channel property assessment and drug screening were performed based on two‐electrode voltage‐clamp recordings. The single‐channel properties were investigated using the excised inside‐out patches from HEK293T cells. Through in utero electroporation, WT and M267T Slack channels were expressed in the hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons in male mice, followed by the examination of the electrical properties using the whole‐cell current‐clamp technique. The kainic acid‐induced epilepsy model in male mice was used to evalute the antiseizure effects of carvedilol. Key Results: The KCNT1 M267T mutation enhanced Slack channel function by increasing single‐channel open probability. Through screening 16 FDA‐approved ion channel blockers, we found that carvedilol effectively reversed the mutation‐induced gain‐of‐function channel properties. Notably, the KCNT1 M267T mutation in the mouse hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons affected afterhyperpolarization properties and induced neuronal hyperexcitability, which was inhibited by carvedilol. Additionally, carvedilol exhibited antiseizure effects in the kainic acid‐induced epilepsy model. Over-generalized fear is a maladaptive response to harmless stimuli or situations characteristic of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other anxiety disorders. The dorsal dentate gyrus (dDG) contains engram cells that play a crucial role in accurate memory retrieval. However, the coordination mechanism of neuronal subpopulations within the dDG network during fear generalization is not well understood. Here, with the Tet-off system combined with immunostaining and two-photon calcium imaging, we report that dDG fear engram cells labeled in the conditioned context constitutes a significantly higher proportion of dDG neurons activated in a similar context where mice show generalized fear. The activation of these dDG fear engram cells encoding the conditioned context is both sufficient and necessary for inducing fear generalization in the similar context. Activities of mossy cells in the ventral dentate gyrus (vMCs) are significantly suppressed in mice showing fear generalization in a similar context, and activating the vMCs-dDG pathway suppresses generalized but not conditioned fear. Finally, modifying fear memory engrams in the dDG with "safety" signals effectively rescues fear generalization. These findings reveal that the competitive advantage of dDG engram cells underlies fear generalization, which can be rescued by activating the vMCs-dDG pathway or modifying fear memory engrams, and provide novel insights into the dDG network as the neuronal basis of fear generalization.
