Background: The bone holes in the skull during surgical drainage were accurately located at the site of the MMA. The MMA was severed, and the hematoma was removed intraoperatively; furthermore, surgical drainage removed the pathogenic factors of CSDH. This study aimed to describe and compare the results of the new treatment with those of traditional surgical drainage, and to investigate the relevance of this approach. Methods: From December 2021 to June 2023, 72 patients were randomly assigned to the observation group and the control group. The control group was treated with traditional surgical drainage, while the observation group was treated with DSA imaging to accurately locate the bone holes drilled in the skull on the MMA trunk before traditional surgical drainage. The MMA trunk was severed during the surgical drainage of the hematoma. The recurrence rate, time of indwelling drainage tube, complications, mRS, and other indicators of the two groups were compared, and the changes of cytokine components and imaging characteristics of the patients were collected and analyzed. Results: Overall, 27 patients with 29-side hematoma in the observation group and 45 patients with 48-side hematoma in the control group were included in the study. The recurrence rate was 0/29 in the observation group and 4/48 in the control group, indicating that the recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than in the control group (P =.048). The mean indwelling time of the drainage tube in the observation group was 2.04 ± 0.61 days, and that in the control group was 2.48 ± 0.61 days. The indwelling time of the drainage tube in the observation group was shorter than in the control group (P =.003). No surgical complications were observed in the observation group or the control group. The differences in mRS scores before and after operation between the observation group and the control group were statistically significant (P <.001). The concentrations of cytokine IL6/IL8/IL10/VEGF in the hematoma fluid of the observation and control groups were significantly higher than those in venous blood (P <.001). After intraoperative irrigation and drainage, the concentrations of cytokines (IL6/IL8/IL10/VEGF) in the subdural hematoma fluid were significantly lower than they were preoperatively. In the observation group, the number of MMA on the hematoma side (11/29) before STA development was higher than that on the non-hematoma side (1/25), and the difference was statistically significant (P =.003). Conclusion: In patients with CSDH, accurately locating the MMA during surgical trepanation and drainage, severing the MMA during drainage, and properly draining the hematoma, can reduce the recurrence rate and retention time of drainage tubes, thereby significantly improving the postoperative mRS Score without increasing surgical complications. Friction stir welding (FSW) of galvanized steel offers unique advantages as it can avoid the extensive metallurgical problems associated with fusion welding. However, conventional FSW still leads to a higher temperature in the stir zone, which deteriorates the microstructure. To obtain a satisfactory weld, the welded joints of galvanized steel were created by FSW with different cooling rates employing a W–Re rotary tool with a large-diameter needle. The correlation between the microstructure evolution and mechanical behavior of joints at different cooling rates was systematically studied. The results demonstrate that the rapid cooling rate favors the refinement of ferrite and diffuse distribution of Fe3C. In addition, weakening of the texture and dispersion of dislocations were also observed after fast cooling FSW. It can be concluded that the microstructural evolution mechanism of the stirring zone (SZ) is continuous dynamic recrystallization at a slow cooling rate, while the microstructure has discontinuous dynamic recrystallization as the primary evolution mechanism at a fast cooling rate. Based on these advantages, the tensile specimens with fast cooling FSW obtained a synergistic improvement in strength-ductility, even surpassing the base material. To overcome the jolt vibration impact of marine circuit breakers, this paper studies the relationship between the influence parameters and the contact performance of the contact system. A parametric approach is utilized to explore the effects of load size, pulse width, and different waveform loads on the vibration response of the contact system. The results show that the vibration increases with the increase in acceleration at peak contact acceleration. The ultimate upsetting acceleration peak of the contact system is determined to be 9.2 g. Large acceleration impacts should be avoided. As far as pulse width is concerned, the vibration response of the system with narrow pulse width is more sensitive than that with broad pulse width. So, monitoring of narrow pulses should be increased. Additionally, under various forms of load, the range of safe contact areas is triangular load, half-sine load, and step load in that order. Thus, circuit breakers need to increase the detection of step loads to prevent faults. The hot deformation behavior and mechanism of Ti65 alloy with a bimodal microstructure were investigated by isothermal compression experiments conducted on the Thermecmastor-Z simulator equipment at temperatures ranging from 950 to 1110 °C and strain rates ranging from 0.01 to 10.0 s−1. The Arrhenius constitutive model, based on strain compensation, and Grey Wolf optimization-neural network with back propagation model (GWO–BP), were both established. The differences between the experimental and predicted value of flow stress were compared and analyzed using the two models. The results show that the prediction accuracy of GWO–BP in the two-phase region is higher than that of Arrhenius model. In the single-phase region, both methods demonstrated high prediction accuracy. Compared to the single-phase region, the flow stress of Ti65 alloy shows a higher degree of softening in the two-phase region. During deformation in the two-phase region, the initial lamellar α phase transformed from a kinked and elongated morphology to a globularized topography as the strain rate decreased. Boundary-splitting was the primary mechanism leading to the spheroidization process. The degree of recrystallization increased with the increase in strain rate during the deformation in the single-phase region, while dynamic recovery and strain-induced grain boundary migration were the main deformation mechanisms at a lower strain rate. It is well known that if a poset satisfies Property A and its dual form, then the o-convergence and o 2 -convergence in the poset are equivalent. In this paper, we supply an example to illustrate that a poset in which the o-convergence and o 2 -convergence are equivalent may not satisfy Property A or its dual form, and carry out some further investigations on the equivalence of the o-convergence and o 2 -convergence. By introducing the concept of the local Frink ideals (the dually local Frink ideals) and establishing the correspondence between ID-pairs and nets in a poset, we prove that the o-convergence and o 2 -convergence of nets in a poset are equivalent if and only if the poset is ID-doubly continuous. This result gives a complete solution to the problem of E.S. The manufacturing process for wrought Ti alloys with the hexagonal close-packed (HCP) structure introduces a complicated microstructure with abundant intra- and inter-grain boundaries, which greatly influence performance. In the hexagonal close-packed (HCP) structure, two types of grain boundaries are commonly observed between grains with ~90° misorientation: the basal/prismatic boundary (BPB) and the coherent twin boundary (CTB). The mechanical response of the BPB and CTB under external loading was studied through molecular dynamic simulations of HCP-Ti. The results revealed that CTB undergoes transformation into BPB through the accumulation of twin boundary (TB) steps and subsequent emission of Shockley partial dislocations. When the total mismatch vector is close to the Burgers vector of a Shockley partial dislocation, BPB emits partial dislocations and further grows along the stacking faults. When a pair of CTBs are close to each other, severe boundary distortion occurs, facilitating the emission and absorption of partial dislocations, which further assists the CTB-BPB transformation. The present results thus help to explain the frequent observation of coexisting CTB and BPB in HCP alloys and further contribute to the understanding of their microstructure and property regulation. Microbial CO 2 fixation into lactic acid (LA) is an important approach for low-carbon biomanufacturing. Engineering microbes to utilize CO 2 and sugar as co-substrates can create efficient pathways through input of moderate reducing power to drive CO 2 fixation into product. However, to achieve complete conservation of organic carbon, how to engineer the CO 2 -fixing modules compatible with native central metabolism and merge the processes for improving bioproduction of LA is a big challenge. In this study, we designed and constructed a solar formic acid/pentose (SFAP) pathway in Escherichia coli , which enabled CO 2 fixation merging into sugar catabolism to produce LA. In the SFAP pathway, adequate reducing equivalents from formate oxidation drive glucose metabolism shifting from glycolysis to the pentose phosphate pathway. The Rubisco-based CO 2 fixation and sequential reduction of C3 intermediates are conducted to produce LA stoichiometrically. CO 2 fixation theoretically can bring a 20% increase of LA production compared with sole glucose feedstock. Background: A complex interaction and mutual influence exists among landscapes, cultures, and landraces, with rice culture being a typical embodiment of this relationship. The conservation of landraces operates alongside preserving traditional practices. The Xishuangbanna region stands out as a hub for the genetic diversity of landraces, boasting rich genetic resources. Despite the diverse rice resources in this region, a comprehensive and systematic study has not been undertaken. Methods: From October to November 2023, we collected rice landraces under the on-farm conservation in 18 townships including Menghai, Mengla and Jinghong in Xishuangbanna. Employing semi-structured interviews and various methods, we investigated factors influencing the preservation and loss of rice landraces in the region. Statistical analysis was applied to the agronomic traits of collected local rice, encompassing indica or japonica, glutinous or non-glutinous, grain shape, and hull color as second category traits. The second category included quantitative traits like thousand grain weight and grain length. Rice diversity among different regions, traits, and ethnic groups was assessed using the Shannon–Wiener index. Additionally, clustering analysis via the UPGMA method depicted the distribution characteristics of the resources. Results: A total of 70 rice landraces were collected in the Xishuangbanna region, each exhibiting distinct characteristics. Differences were observed across regions, trait, naming, and ethnic groups. Diversity analysis revealed that Mengla had the highest diversity, followed by Menghai, while Jinghong exhibited the lowest diversity. The second category of traits displayed broader diversity than the first, with the Dai people's glutinous rice showcasing greater diversity than other ethnic groups. Cluster analysis categorized the 70 samples into seven groups at a genetic distance of 1.15. Ethnobotanical interviews emphasized the rapid loss of rice landraces resources in Xishuangbanna, with indigenous ethnic cultures playing a vital role in the conservation of rice landraces. Dai traditions, in particular, played a crucial role in protecting glutinous rice resources, showcasing a mutual dependence between Dai culture and glutinous rice. Conclusions: The rich natural environment and diverse ethnic cultures in Xishuangbanna have given rise to various rice landraces. The Dai, primary cultivators of glutinous rice with higher diversity, intertwine their traditional ethnic culture with the conservation of glutinous rice resources. At the same time, the preserving glutinous rice resources promotes the inheritance of Dai ethnic culture. However, rice landraces are facing the risk of loss. Hence, collecting and documenting rice landraces is crucial. Encourage local communities to sustain and expand their cultivation, promoting on-farm conservation. AI-driven mineral prospectivity mapping (MPM) is a valid and increasingly accepted tool for delineating the targets of mineral exploration, but it suffers from noisy and unrepresentative input features. In this study, a set of fractal and multifractal methods, including box-counting calculation, concentration–area fractal modeling, and multifractal analyses, were employed to excavate the underlying nonlinear mineralization-related information from geological features. Based on these methods, multiple feature selection criteria, namely prediction–area plot, K-means clustering, information gain, chi-square, and the Pearson correlation coefficient, were jointly applied to rank the relative importance of ore-related features and their fractal representations, so as to choose the optimal input feature dataset readily used for training predictive AI models. The results indicate that fault density, the multifractal spectrum width (∆α) of the Yanshanian intrusions, information dimension (D1) of magnetic anomalies, correlation dimension (D2) of iron-oxide alteration, and the D2 of argillic alteration serve as the most effective predictor features representative of the corresponding ore-controlling elements. The comparative results of the model assessment suggest that all the AI models trained by the fractal datasets outperform their counterparts trained by raw datasets, demonstrating a significant improvement in the predictive capability of fractal-trained AI models in terms of both classification accuracy and predictive efficiency. A Shapley additive explanation was employed to trace the contributions of these features and to explain the modeling results, which imply that fractal representations provide more discriminative and definitive feature values that enhance the cognitive capability of AI models trained by these data, thereby improving their predictive performance, especially for those indirect predictor features that show subtle correlations with mineralization in the raw dataset. In addition, fractal-trained models can benefit practical mineral exploration by outputting low-risk exploration targets that achieve higher capturing efficiency and by providing new mineralization clues extracted from remote sensing data. This study demonstrates that the fractal representations of geological features filtered by multi-criteria feature selection can provide a feasible and promising means of improving the predictive capability of AI-driven MPM. Ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic and refractory nonspecific inflammatory bowel disease, affects millions of patients worldwide and increases the risk of colorectal cancer. Teprenone is an acylic polyisoprenoid that exerts anti-inflammatory properties in rat models of peptic ulcer disease. This in vitro and in vivo study was designed to investigate the effects of teprenone on UC and to explore the underlying mechanisms. Human intestinal epithelial cells (Caco-2 cells) serve as the in vitro experimental model. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 1 μg/mL) was employed to stimulate the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (interleukin [IL]-6, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor [TNF]-α), Toll-like receptor-4 (TLR4), MyD88 expression, and NF-κB activation. A trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced chronic UC rat model was employed for the in vivo assay. Pro-inflammatory cytokine stimulation by LPS in Caco-2 cells was inhibited by teprenone at 40 μg/mL through the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. Teprenone attenuated TNBS-induced UC, decreased myeloperoxidase and malondialdehyde, induced TLR4 expression and NF-κB activation, and increased glutathione and zonula occludens-1 level in the rat colonic tissue. Moreover, Fusobacterium, Escherichia coli, Porphyromonas gingivalis elevation, and Mogibacterium timidum decline in UC rats were inhibited by teprenone. The high cost of manual weed control and the overuse of herbicides restrict the yield and quality of soybean. Intelligent mechanical weeding and precise application of pesticides can be used as effective alternatives for weed control in the field, and these require accurate distinction between crops and weeds. In this paper, images of soybean seedlings and weeds in different growth areas are used as datasets. In the aspect of soybean recognition, this paper designs a YOLOv8nGP algorithm with a backbone network optimisation based on GhostNet and an unconstrained pruning method with a 60% pruning rate. Compared with the original YOLOv8n, the YOLOv8nGP improves the Precision (P), Recall (R), and F1 metrics by 1.1% each, reduces the model size by 3.6 mb, and the inference time was 2.2 ms, which could meet the real-time requirements of field operations. In terms of weed recognition, this study utilises an image segmentation method based on the Normalized Excess Green Index (NExG). After filtering the soybean seedlings, the green parts of the image are extracted for weed recognition, which reduces the dependence on the diversity of the weed datasets. In this paper, we study a new splitting method for the semi-linear system of ordinary differential equation, where the linear part is stiff. Firstly, the stiff part is split into two parts. The first stiff part, that is called the stiff-cutter and expected to be easily inverted, is implicitly treated. The second stiff part and the remaining nonlinear part are explicitly treated. Therefore, such stiff-cut method can be fast implemented and save the CPU time. Theoretically, we rigorously prove that the proposed method is unconditionally stable and convergent, if the stiff-cutter is chosen to be well-matched in the stiff part. As an application, we apply our method to solve a spatial-fractional reaction-diffusion equation and give a way for how to choose a suitable stiff-cutter. Developmental engineering (DE) involves culturing various cells on modular scaffolds (MSs), yielding modular tissues (MTs) assembled into three-dimensional (3D) tissues, mimicking developmental biology. This study employs an integrated approach, merging experimental and mathematical methods to investigate the biological processes in MT cultivation and assembly. Human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) were cultured on tissue culture plastics, poly(lactic acid) (PLA) discs with regular open structures, or spherical poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) MSs, respectively. Notably, HDFs exhibited flattened spindle shapes when adhered to solid surfaces, and complex 3D structures when migrating into the structured voids of PLA discs or interstitial spaces between aggregated PMMA MSs, showcasing coordinated colonization of porous scaffolds. Empirical investigations led to power law models simulating density-dependent cell growth on solid surfaces or voids. Concurrently, a modified diffusion model was applied to simulate oxygen diffusion within tissues cultured on solid surfaces or porous structures. These mathematical models were subsequently combined to explore the influences of initial cell seeding density, culture duration, and oxygen diffusion on MT cultivation and assembly. The findings underscored the intricate interplay of factors influencing MT design for tissue assembly. As internet privacy concern (IPC) keeps spiking, it is imperative to reexamine privacy concern among social media users in a cross-cultural context. Using the purposive sampling method, this study recruited 1,340 social media users aged 18–82 in the United State and China. It integrates medium theory and cultural perspectives to study IPC by analyzing the technological antecedents of social media use among young users who grew up with social media and their "digital immigrant" parents who did not. U.S. and Chinese respondents were concerned about IPC regardless of their genders. Young people reported a lower IPC level than elder users. IPC was negatively related to social media power use, but not to social media habitual use. Some cultural differences were revealed. Among those aged 18–25, U.S. users had significantly lower IPC than their Chinese counterparts. In those aged 50+, little difference concerning IPC existed between U.S. and Chinese users. This study represents the first attempt of integrating both technology and cultural perspectives to examine internet privacy concern. The findings, including one's cultural background moderating the association between social media power use and IPC, should contribute to a better understanding of privacy concerns in a cross-cultural setting. Backgrounds: Persistent trigeminal artery (PTA) is a rare anastomosis between internal carotid artery (ICA) and basilar artery. In rare conditions, the PTA could be combined with others cerebrovascular anomalies, moyamoya disease (MMD) is one of them. Case presentation: Here, we reported one rare case of MMD associated with PTA, the patient admitted to our department for severe dizziness and headache, imaging examination suggested MMD combined with right PTA, which arising from the ipsilateral cavernous portion of ICA. The patient received phased bilaterral revascularization with no any complication. In the subsequent follow-up, the patient's symptoms and intracranial vascular condition gradually improved. Moreover, we conducted a literature review of coexistence of PTA and MMD, the results of a web of science regarding such condition, and a deep discussion providing brief insight into the status of co-occurrence of PTA and MMD, including its manifestation, treatment and outcome. Conclusions: The coexistence of PTA and MMD was rarely reported, the pathogenesis of such condition remains unknown. This paper proposes an error allocation method based on sensitivity analysis and optimized genetic algorithm, which allocates the errors of the five-axis ultra-precision machine tool. Firstly, a geometric error model of the five-axis ultra-precision machine tool is established. Then, the sensitivity indices of the errors are calculated, and the error boundaries and cost boundaries for error allocation are set according to the indices. Finally, the error allocation is carried out by using optimized genetic algorithm, and the results of the error allocation are verified by an error synthesis model. Background and purpose: Pipeline embolization device (PED) is widely used in intracranial aneurysms, and the scope of applications for the PED, which is frequently used to treat cerebral aneurysms, is also growing. It has some effect on branching vessels as a result of its inherent properties. The effects of PED on the complications rate and branching vessels blockage have not yet been thoroughly investigated. Objective: We conducted a systematic review searching reports from multiple databases on PED use for intracranial aneurysms, and analyzed the influence of PED on the occlusion rate of different branching vessels, and the influence of the amount of PED on the occlusion rate of branching vessels by meta-analysis. Methods: We searched the literature using PUBMED, Web of Science, and OVID databases until August 2023. Inclusion criteria were that the study used only PED, included at least 10 patients, and recorded branching vessels occlusion rates, mortality, and neurological complications. Results: Nine studies were analyzed consisting of 706 patients with 986 side branches. The results of the meta-analysis showed that application of more than one PED did not significantly elevate the rate of branching vessels occlusion compared to application of one PED (OR = 0.70; 95% CI: 0.34 to 1.43; P = 0.33). In the comparison of branching vessels occlusion rates in the anterior circulation, the anterior cerebral artery (ACA) had a significantly higher occlusion rate compared to the ophthalmic artery (OphA) (OR = 6.54; 95% CI: 3.05 to 14.01; P < 0.01), ACA also had a higher occlusion rate compared to the anterior choroidal artery (AchA) (OR = 15.44; 95% CI: 4.11 to 57.94 P < 0.01), ACA versus posterior communicating artery (PcomA) occlusion rate difference was not statistically significant (OR = 2.58; 95% CI: 0.63 to 12.82; P = 0.17), OphA versus AchA occlusion rate difference was not statistically significant (OR = 2.56; 95% CI: 0.89 to 7.38; P = 0.08), and the occlusion rate was significantly higher for PcomA compared to AchA (OR = 7.22; 95% CI: 2.49 to 20.95; P < 0.01) and lower for OphA compared to PcomA (OR = 0.33; 95% CI: 0.19 to 0.55; P < 0.01). Conclusion: The meta-analysis shows that use of multiple PEDs did not significantly increase the occlusion rate of branching vessels, and the larger the diameter of branching vessels covered by PED, the higher the occlusion rate of branching vessels. However, the incidence of complications is low after branching vessels occlusion in anterior circulation, which is related to the collateral circulation compensation of the branching vessels. Cyanobacteria are excellent autotrophic photosynthetic chassis employed in synthetic biology, and previous studies have suggested that they have alkaline tolerance but low acid tolerance, significantly limiting their productivity as photosynthetic chassis and necessitating investigations into the acid stress resistance mechanism. In this study, differentially expressed genes were obtained by RNA sequencing-based comparative transcriptomic analysis under long-term acidic stress conditions and acidic shock treatment, in the model cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942. A pathway enrichment analysis revealed the upregulated and downregulated pathways during long-term acidic and shock stress treatment. The subsequent single gene knockout and phenotype analysis showed that under acidic stress conditions, the strains with chlL, chlN, pex, synpcc7942_2038, synpcc7942_1890, or synpcc7942_2547 knocked out grew worse than the wild type, suggesting their involvement in acid tolerance. This finding was further confirmed by introducing the corresponding genes back into the knockout mutant individually. Moreover, individual overexpression of the chlL and chlN genes in the wild type successfully improved the tolerance of S. elongatus PCC 7942 to acidic stress. This work successfully identified six genes involved in acidic stress responses, and overexpressing chIL or chIN individually successfully improved acid tolerance in S. elongatus PCC 7942, providing valuable information to better understand the acid resistance mechanism in S. elongatus PCC 7942 and novel insights into the robustness and tolerance engineering of cyanobacterial chassis. Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) is a transmembrane and non-selective cation channel protein, which can be activated by various physical and chemical stimuli. Recent studies have shown the strong pathogenetic associations of TRPV1 with neurodegenerative diseases (NDs), in particular Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple sclerosis (MS) via regulating neuroinflammation. Therapeutic effects of TRPV1 agonists and antagonists on the treatment of AD and PD in animal models also are emerging. We here summarize the current understanding of TRPV1's effects and its agonists and antagonists as a therapeutic means in neurodegenerative diseases, and highlight future treatment strategies using natural TRPV1 agonists. Background and purpose: Pipeline embolization device (PED) is widely used in intracranial aneurysms, and the scope of applications for the PED, which is frequently used to treat cerebral aneurysms, is also growing. It has some effect on branching vessels as a result of its inherent properties. The effects of PED on the complications rate and branching vessels blockage have not yet been thoroughly investigated. Objective: We conducted a systematic review searching reports from multiple databases on PED use for intracranial aneurysms, and analyzed the influence of PED on the occlusion rate of different branching vessels, and the influence of the amount of PED on the occlusion rate of branching vessels by meta-analysis. Methods: We searched the literature using PUBMED, Web of Science, and OVID databases until August 2023. Inclusion criteria were that the study used only PED, included at least 10 patients, and recorded branching vessels occlusion rates, mortality, and neurological complications. Results: Nine studies were analyzed consisting of 706 patients with 986 side branches. The results of the meta-analysis showed that application of more than one PED did not significantly elevate the rate of branching vessels occlusion compared to application of one PED (OR = 0.70; 95% CI: 0.34 to 1.43; P = 0.33). In the comparison of branching vessels occlusion rates in the anterior circulation, the anterior cerebral artery (ACA) had a significantly higher occlusion rate compared to the ophthalmic artery (OphA) (OR = 6.54; 95% CI: 3.05 to 14.01; P < 0.01), ACA also had a higher occlusion rate compared to the anterior choroidal artery (AchA) (OR = 15.44; 95% CI: 4.11 to 57.94 P < 0.01), ACA versus posterior communicating artery (PcomA) occlusion rate difference was not statistically significant (OR = 2.58; 95% CI: 0.63 to 12.82; P = 0.17), OphA versus AchA occlusion rate difference was not statistically significant (OR = 2.56; 95% CI: 0.89 to 7.38; P = 0.08), and the occlusion rate was significantly higher for PcomA compared to AchA (OR = 7.22; 95% CI: 2.49 to 20.95; P < 0.01) and lower for OphA compared to PcomA (OR = 0.33; 95% CI: 0.19 to 0.55; P < 0.01). Conclusion: The meta-analysis shows that use of multiple PEDs did not significantly increase the occlusion rate of branching vessels, and the larger the diameter of branching vessels covered by PED, the higher the occlusion rate of branching vessels. However, the incidence of complications is low after branching vessels occlusion in anterior circulation, which is related to the collateral circulation compensation of the branching vessels. The quantification of the irregular morphology and distribution pattern of mineral grains is an essential but challenging task in ore-related mineralogical research, allowing for tracing the footprints of pattern-forming geological processes that are crucial to understanding mineralization and/or diagenetic systems. In this study, a large model, namely, the Segmenting Anything Model (SAM), was employed to automatically segment and annotate quartz, lepidolite and albite grains derived from Yichun rare-metal granite (YCRMG), based on which a series of fractal and multifractal methods, including box-counting calculation, perimeter–area analysis and multifractal spectra, were implemented. The results indicate that the mineral grains from YCRMG show great scaling invariance within the range of 1.04~52,300 μm. The automatic annotation of mineral grains from photomicrographs yields accurate fractal dimensions with an error of only 0.6% and thus can be utilized for efficient fractal-based grain quantification. The resultant fractal dimensions display a distinct distribution pattern in the diagram of box-counting fractal dimension (Db) versus perimeter–area fractal dimension (DPA), in which lepidolites are sandwiched between greater-valued quartz and lower-valued albites. Snowball-textured albites, i.e., concentrically arranged albite laths in quartz and K-feldspar, exhibit characteristic Db values ranging from 1.6 to 1.7, which coincide with the fractal indices derived from the fractal growth model. The zonal albites exhibit a strictly increasing trend regarding the values of fractal and multifractal exponents from core to rim, forming a featured "fractal-index banding" in the radar diagram. This pattern suggests that the snowball texture gradually evolved from rim to core, thus leading to greater fractal indices of outer zones, which represent higher complexity and maturity of the evolving system, which supports a metasomatic origin of the snowball texture. Cyanobacteria are excellent autotrophic photosynthetic chassis employed in synthetic biology, and previous studies have suggested that they have alkaline tolerance but low acid tolerance, significantly limiting their productivity as photosynthetic chassis and necessitating investigations into the acid stress resistance mechanism. In this study, differentially expressed genes were obtained by RNA sequencing-based comparative transcriptomic analysis under long-term acidic stress conditions and acidic shock treatment, in the model cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942. A pathway enrichment analysis revealed the upregulated and downregulated pathways during long-term acidic and shock stress treatment. The subsequent single gene knockout and phenotype analysis showed that under acidic stress conditions, the strains with chlL, chlN, pex, synpcc7942_2038, synpcc7942_1890, or synpcc7942_2547 knocked out grew worse than the wild type, suggesting their involvement in acid tolerance. This finding was further confirmed by introducing the corresponding genes back into the knockout mutant individually. Moreover, individual overexpression of the chlL and chlN genes in the wild type successfully improved the tolerance of S. elongatus PCC 7942 to acidic stress. This work successfully identified six genes involved in acidic stress responses, and overexpressing chIL or chIN individually successfully improved acid tolerance in S. elongatus PCC 7942, providing valuable information to better understand the acid resistance mechanism in S. elongatus PCC 7942 and novel insights into the robustness and tolerance engineering of cyanobacterial chassis. Objective: To investigate the efficacy of an injectable hydrogel loaded with lysed OK-432 (lyOK-432) and doxorubicin (DOX) for residual liver cancer after incomplete radiofrequency ablation (iRFA) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and explore the underlying mechanism. Materials and Methods: The effect of OK-432 and lyOK-432 was compared in activating dendritic cells (DCs). RADA16-I (R) peptide was dissolved in a mixture of lyOK-432 (O) and DOX (D) to develop an ROD hydrogel. The characteristics of ROD hydrogel were evaluated. Tumor response and mice survival were measured after different treatments. The number of immune cells and cytokine levels were measured, and the activation of cGAS/STING/IFN-I signaling pathway in DC was evaluated both in vitro and in vivo. Results: LyOK-432 was more effective than OK-432 in promoting DC maturation and activating the IFN-I pathway. ROD was an injectable hydrogel for effectively loading lyOK-432 and DOX, and presented the controlled-release property. ROD treatment achieved the highest tumor necrosis rate (p < 0.001) and the longest survival time (p < 0.001) compared with the other therapies. The ROD group also displayed the highest percentages of DCs, CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells (p < 0.001), the lowest level of Treg cells (p < 0.001), and the highest expression levels of IFN-γ and TNF-α (p < 0.001) compared with the other groups. The expression levels of pSTING, pIRF3, and IFN-β in DCs were obviously higher after treatment of lyOK-432 in combination with DOX than the other therapies. Three‐level fractional factorial split‐plot (FFSP) designs with the whole plot (WP) factors being more important than the subplot factors are considered in the article. An aliased component‐number pattern of type WP (WP‐ACNP) is introduced for ranking such designs. At the bottom of the geomembrane cut-off walls, pollutants may seep out through the bottom gap between the geosynthetic membrane and the low-permeability bedrock, contaminating the groundwater and the surrounding environment. Therefore, to address the occurrence of bottom gap seepage, this study adopts a mixture of attapulgite and cement in a certain proportion, mixed and stirred to form a sealing material. This sealing material is used to connect the bedrock and the geosynthetic membrane, thereby creating an efficient composite vertical barrier with special containment capacity. A series of laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate engineering properties of cement-attapulgite sealing slurry, including flow value tests, unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests, improved flexible wall permeability tests, and bedrock and sealing slurry adhesion tests. The results show that the flow value of the slurry decreases with the increase of attapulgite content, and it increases with the increase of water-cement ratio. The UCS strength increases with the increase of attapulgite content, and it decreases with the increase of water-cement ratio, but the range of change is different. The hydraulic conductivity measured with hexavalent chromium solution as the penetrant is less than 50 % higher than that measured with water as the penetrant, and hexavalent chromium solution has little effect on the hydraulic conductivity of sealing slurry. The bonding performance between sealing slurry and bedrock is satisfactory, and the hydraulic conductivity of bedrock-sealing slurry is less than 1 × 10−7 cm/s (28d curing age), it is concluded that use of cement-attapulgite sealing slurry as bonding material between bedrock and geomembrane meets the engineering design requirements. This paper proposes an end-to-end neural network model that fully utilizes the characteristic of uneven fog distribution to estimate visibility in fog images. Firstly, we transform the original single labels into discrete label distributions and introduce discrete label distribution learning on top of the existing classification networks to learn the difference in visibility information among different regions of an image. Then, we employ the bilinear attention pooling module to find the farthest visible region of fog in the image, which is incorporated into an attention-based branch. Finally, we conduct a cascaded fusion of the features extracted from the attention-based branch and the base branch. Extensive experimental results on a real highway dataset and a publicly available synthetic road dataset confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method, which has low annotation requirements, good robustness, and broad application space. The preparation of glass–ceramics with red mud and steel slag can not only solve the pollution problem caused by industrial waste slag but also produce economic benefits. It is difficult to analyze the high-temperature melt with the existing test methods, so the simulation experiment with molecular dynamics calculation becomes an important research method. The effects of steel slag content on the microstructure of red mud glass–ceramics were studied by molecular dynamics method. The results show that the binding ability of Si-O, Al-O, and Fe-O decreases with the increase in steel slag content. The number of Si-O-Si bridge oxygen increased gradually, while the number of Al-O-Al, Al-O-Fe, and Fe-O-Fe bridge oxygen decreased significantly. The number of tetrahedrons [SiO4] increased, the number of tetrahedrons [FeO4] and [AlO4] decreased, and the total number of three tetrahedrons decreased. The mean square displacement value of Si4+ and O2− increases first and then decreases, resulting in the viscosity of the system decreasing first and then increasing. The molecular dynamics method is used to analyze the structure of red mud–steel slag glass–ceramics on the microscopic scale, which can better understand the role of steel slag and has guiding significance for the experiment of this kind of glass–ceramics. Atomic transport properties of liquid iron are important for understanding the core dynamics and magnetic field generation of terrestrial planets. Depending on the sizes of planets and their thermal histories, planetary cores may be subject to quite different pressures (P) and temperatures (T). However, previous studies on the topic mainly focus on the P–T range associated with the Earth's outer core; a systematic study covering conditions from small planets to massive exoplanets is lacking. Here, we calculate the self-diffusion coefficient D and viscosity η of liquid iron via ab initio molecular dynamics from 7.0 to 25 g/cm3 and 1800 to 25 000 K. We find that D and η are intimately related and can be fitted together using a generalized free volume model. The resulting expressions are simpler than those from previous studies where D and η were treated separately. Moreover, the new expressions are in accordance with the quasi-universal atomic excess entropy (Sex) scaling law for strongly coupled liquids, with normalized diffusivity D⋆ = 0.621 exp(0.842Sex) and viscosity η⋆ = 0.171 exp(−0.843Sex). We determine D and η along two thermal profiles of great geophysical importance: the iron melting curve and the isentropic line anchored at the ambient melting point. The variations of D and η along these thermal profiles can be explained by the atomic excess entropy scaling law, demonstrating the dynamic invariance of the system under uniform time and space rescaling. In this paper, the sesame residue, a common biomass waste, was used as a precursor to synthesize N,O co-doped porous carbon materials via a simple pre-carbonization and KNO3 activation two-step strategy. The apparent morphology and supercapacitor performance of the obtained materials can be regulated by changing the pre-carbonization temperature (0 °C, 300 °C and 600 °C). The consequences demonstrate that a large number of C−C and C−O bonds in sesame residue undergo cleavage and form abundant pore structure at the pre-carbonization temperature of 300 °C. After KNO3 activation, the material has a moderate specific surface area (1073.4 m2 g−1) and affluent heteroatom content (N: 7.52 at%, O: 17.65 at%). As a result, the SS-300 electrode displays exceptional capacitive performance (specific capacitance up to 312.7 F g−1 at 0.5 A g−1) and outstanding cyclic stability (capacitance retention reaching 98.3% at 10 A g−1 after 8000 charge–discharge cycles). Moreover, the symmetric supercapacitor assembled by SS-300 exhibits high energy densities in both 6 M KOH (4.58 Wh kg−1) and 1 M Na2SO4 (15.60 Wh kg−1), highlighting the potential of this material for energy storage applications. Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is defined as a joint disease that occurs mostly among elderly people. Fibroblast-like synoviocytes-derived extracellular vesicles (FLS-EVs) have impacts on the treatment of OA. This study elucidated the mechanism of miR-25-3p in pyroptosis of chondrocytes in KOA. FLSs and EVs were extracted from neonatal mice; destabilization of the medial meniscus (DMM) was used to simulate KOA in mice, followed by the evaluation of cartilage damage and the contents of MMP-3 and MMP-13 in KOA mice. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was used to induce inflammation damage in mouse chondrocytes ATDC5, and the cell viability and the expressions of NLRP3, Cleaved-Caspase-1, GSDMD-N, IL-18, and IL-1β were examined. We found that FLS-EV treatment mitigated the knee-joint damage and symptoms of KOA mice, decreased MMP-3 and MMP-13, and inhibited pyroptosis of chondrocytes in DMM mice and LPS-induced ATD5 cells. Then, Cy3-labeled miR-25-3p in mice chondrocytes was observed and the expressions and the binding relation of miR-25-3p and cytoplasmic polyadenylation element-binding protein 1 (CPEB1) were verified. It showed that FLS-EVs carried miR-25-3p into chondrocytes, and upregulated miR-25-3p expression while inhibited CPEB1 transcription, resulting in mitigation of pyroptosis of chondrocytes, and CPEB1 overexpression reversed the inhibition of FLS-EVs on pyroptosis of chondrocytes in KOA. Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) has been widely used for hepatocellular carcinoma. Reducing hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment after TACE remains a challenge as tumor progression is common in post‐TACE patients due to the hypoxic tumor microenvironment. In this study, melatonin loaded on p(N‐isopropyl‐acrylamide‐co‐butyl methylacrylate) (PIB‐M) was used for tumor embolism. Two types of human hepatoma cell lines were used to explore the mechanism by which melatonin prevents the growth and metastasis of cancer cells in vitro. A VX2 rabbit tumor model was used to evaluate the efficacy, mechanism, and safety of PIB‐M in vivo. We found that under hypoxic condition, melatonin could inhibit tumor cell proliferation and migration by targeting hypoxia inducible factor‐1α (HIF‐1α) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF‐A) in vitro. In vivo, PIB‐M inhibited tumor growth and metastasis in rabbit VX2 tumors by promoting apoptosis of tumor cells and targeting related angiogenic proteins and vascular permeability proteins. A high concentration of melatonin in the PIB‐M group could be maintained in tumor tissue for 72 h after embolization. The liver and kidney functions were most damaged on the first day but recovered to normal on the seventh day after embolization in the PIB‐M group. This novel method may open avenues for reduction of tumor growth and metastasis after TACE and is efficacy and safety, which may be used for treatment for other solid tumors and clinical translation. Methazolamide is a carbonic anhydrase (CA) inhibitor with satisfactory safety. Our previous studies have demonstrated the elevation of CA1 expression and the therapeutic effect of Methazolamide in Ankylosing spondylitis (AS). In this study, we explored the pathogenic role of CA1 and the pharmacological mechanism of Methazolamide in AS through Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) and network pharmacology. Seven out of twelve CA1 related gene sets were enriched in AS group. CA1 was core enriched in above seven gene sets involving zinc ion binding, arylesterase activity and one carbon metabolic process. Functional analysis of the candidate target genes obtained from the intersection of AS associated genes and Methazolamide target genes indicated that Methazolamide exerts therapeutic effects on AS mainly through inflammatory pathways which regulate the production of tumor necrosis factor, IL-6 and nitric oxide. PTGS2, ESR1, GSK3β, JAK2, NOS2 and CA1 were selected as therapeutic targets of Methazolamide in AS. Molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations were performed successfully. In addition, we innovatively obtained the intersection of Gene Ontology (GO)/Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses and GSEA results, and found that 18 GO terms and 5 KEGG terms were indicated in the pharmacological mechanism of Methazolamide in AS, involving bone mineralization, angiogenesis, inflammation, and chemokine signaling pathways. β-tricalcium phosphate has good biodegradability and biocompatibility; it is widely perceived as a good material for treating bone deficiency. In this research, different contents of strontium (Sr) and silver (Ag) ion-doped β-tricalcium phosphate powders were prepared using the sol–gel method. After obtaining the best ratio of pore-forming agent and binder, the as-synthesized powders were sintered in a muffle for 5 h at 1000 °C to obtain the samples. Then, these samples were degraded in vitro in simulated body fluids. The samples were tested using a series of characterization methods before and after degradation. Results showed that the amount of Sr and/or Ag doping had an effect on the crystallinity and structural parameters of the samples. After degradation, though the compressive strength of these samples decreased overall, the compressive strength of the undoped samples was higher than that of the doped samples. Notably, apatite-like materials were observed on the surface of the samples. All the results indicate that Sr and/or Ag β-TCP has good osteogenesis and proper mechanical properties; it will be applied as a prospective biomaterial in the area of bone repair. Simple Summary: At present, there are two hypotheses about the biogeographic origin of Kurixalus on the East Asian islands. We reconstructed the ancestral distribution of Kurixalus, based on complete sampling and accurate selection of biogeographical analysis models. The results showed that Kurixalus on the East Asian islands have originated from the Asian mainland through two long-distance colonization events (jump dispersal). In addition, the analyses of the tempo of diversification revealed that the diversification rate of Kurixalus showed a slight decreasing trend. The relevant results will help us to comprehensively and accurately understand the geographical origin of Kurixalus and improve our understanding of the origin history of the flora and fauna of Taiwan Island. The ancestral area of Kurixalus on the East Asian islands is under dispute, and two hypotheses exist, namely that distribution occurred only on the Asian mainland (scenario of dispersal) and that wide distribution occurred on both the Asian mainland and the East Asian islands (scenario of vicariance). In this study, we conducted biogeographic analyses and estimated the lineage divergence times based on the most complete sampling of species, to achieve a more comprehensive understanding on the origin of Kurixalus on the East Asian islands. Our results revealed that the process of jump dispersal (founder-event speciation) is the crucial process, resulting in the distribution of Kurixalus on the East Asian islands, and supported the model of the Asian mainland origin: that Kurixalus on the East Asian islands originated from the Asian mainland through two long-distance colonization events (jump dispersal), via the model of vicariance of a widespread ancestor on both the Asian mainland and the East Asian islands. Our results indicated that choices of historical biogeography models can have large impacts on biogeographic inference, and the procedure of model selection is very important in biogeographic analysis. Copula is a popular method for modeling the dependence among marginal distributions in multivariate censored data. As many copula models are available, it is essential to check if the chosen copula model fits the data well for analysis. Existing approaches to testing the fitness of copula models are mainly for complete or right‐censored data. No formal goodness‐of‐fit (GOF) test exists for interval‐censored or recurrent events data. We develop a general GOF test for copula‐based survival models using the information ratio (IR) to address this research gap. It can be applied to any copula family with a parametric form, such as the frequently used Archimedean, Gaussian, and D‐vine families. The test statistic is easy to calculate, and the test procedure is straightforward to implement. We establish the asymptotic properties of the test statistic. The simulation results show that the proposed test controls the type‐I error well and achieves adequate power when the dependence strength is moderate to high. Finally, we apply our method to test various copula models in analyzing multiple real datasets. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive and polygenic disorder that affects millions of individuals each year. Given that there have been few effective treatments yet for AD, it is highly desirable to develop an accurate model to predict the full disease progression profile based on an individual's genetic characteristics for early prevention and clinical management. This work uses data composed of all four phases of the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) study, including 1740 individuals with 8 million genetic variants. We tackle several challenges in this data, characterized by large‐scale genetic data, interval‐censored outcome due to intermittent assessments, and left truncation in one study phase (ADNIGO). Specifically, we first develop a semiparametric transformation model on interval‐censored and left‐truncated data and estimate parameters through a sieve approach. Then we propose a computationally efficient generalized score test to identify variants associated with AD progression. Next, we implement a novel neural network on interval‐censored data (NN‐IC) to construct a prediction model using top variants identified from the genome‐wide test. Comprehensive simulation studies show that the NN‐IC outperforms several existing methods in terms of prediction accuracy. Finally, we apply the NN‐IC to the full ADNI data and successfully identify subgroups with differential progression risk profiles. Delivery of therapeutic substances into the brain poses a significant challenge in the treatment of neurological disorders. This is primarily due to the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which restricts access, alongside the limited stability and distribution of these agents within the brain tissue. Here we demonstrate an efficient delivery of microRNA (miRNA) and antisense RNA preferentially to neurons compared to astroglia in the brain of healthy and Alzheimer's disease mice, via disulfide-linked conjugation with poly(ß-L-malic acid-trileucine)-copolymer a biodegradable, amphiphilic, and multivalent platform. By conjugating a D-configured (D3)-peptide (vector) for specific targeting, highly efficient delivery across the BBB is achieved through the Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein-1 (LRP-1) transcytosis pathway, amyloid beta (Aβ) peptides. Nanodrug distribution was determined by fluorescent labeling and analyzed by microscopy in neurons, astroglia, and in extracellular amyloid plaques typical for Alzheimer's disease. Whereas D-configured BBB-vectors can efficiently target neurons, L-configured (e.g., AP2-peptide) guided vector can only cross BBB but not seem to bind neurons. An analysis of post-injection fluorescence distribution, and RNA-seq followed by real-time PCR validation, confirmed a successful in vivo delivery of morpholino-miRNA-186 nanoconjugates into mouse brain. The size and fluorescence intensity of the intracellular nanodrug particulates were analyzed and verified by a competition with non-fluorescent conjugates. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) from RNA-seq were identified in the nanodrug injected mice, and the changes of selected DEGs related to Alzheimer's disease were further validated by western blot and real-time PCR. Collectively, these results demonstrated that D3-peptide-conjugated nanopolymer drug is able to achieve neuron-selective delivery of miRNA and can serve as an efficient brain delivery vehicle in Alzheimer's disease (AD) mouse models. In the activated PTFHQ, the hydroxyl groups and S atoms enlarge the electronegativity region near the electrochemically active carbonyl groups, enhancing their electrochemical activity. Simultaneously, the residual hydroxyl groups could act as hydrophilic groups to enhance the electrolyte wettability while ensuring the stability of the polymer chain in the electrolyte. Also, the Z‐folded structure of PTFHQ plays an important role in reversible binding with Zn2+ and fast ion diffusion. All these benefits make the activated PTFHQ exhibit a high specific capacity of 215 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1, over 3400 stable cycles with a capacity retention of 92 %, and an outstanding rate capability of 196 mAh g−1 at 20 A g−1. Background: The most serious challenges in medicinal 'Sanghuang' mushroom production are the fungal diseases caused by various molds. Application of biological agents has been regarded as a potential crop disease management strategy. Here, the soil microbiome associated with 'Sanghuang' mushroom affected by fungal diseases grown under field cultivation (FC) and hanging cultivation (HC) was characterized using culture-dependent and culture-independent methods. Results: A total of 12,525 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) and 168 pure cultures were obtained using high-throughput sequencing and a culture-dependent method, respectively. From high-throughput sequencing, we found that HC samples had more OTUs, higher α-diversity, and greater microbial community complexity than FC samples. Analysis of β-diversity divided the soil microbes into two groups according to cultivation mode. Basidiomycota (48.6%) and Ascomycota (46.5%) were the two dominant fungal phyla in FC samples, with the representative genera Trichoderma (56.3%), Coprinellus (29.4%) and Discosia (4.8%), while only the phylum Ascomycota (84.5%) was predominant in HC samples, with the representative genera Discosia (34.0%), Trichoderma (30.2%), Penicillium (14.9%), and Aspergillus (7.8%). Notably, Trichoderma was predominant in both the culture-independent and culture-dependent analyses, with Trichoderma sp. FZ0005 showing high host pathogenicity. Among the 87 culturable bacteria, 15 exhibited varying extents of antifungal activity against Trichoderma sp. FZ0005, with three strains of Bacillus spp. (HX0037, HX0016, and HX0039) showing outstanding antifungal capacity. Conclusions: Overall, our results suggest that Trichoderma is the major causal agent of 'Sanghuang' fungal diseases and that Bacillus strains may be used as biocontrol agents in 'Sanghuang' cultivation. The fatigue reliability-based design is critical for the structural safety of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs). In principle, infinite potential load conditions that the FOWT may experience should be considered in fatigue assessment, while in practice only limited number of load conditions are used, which inevitably induces uncertainty to fatigue estimation. However, to this uncertainty, little attention has been paid. In this study, the fatigue reliability of a FOWT is investigated with a focus on this uncertainty. The C-vine copula method is adopted to model concurrent wind and wave conditions, and the probability-based sampling method is employed to determine the load conditions used for fatigue analysis. This uncertainty is assessed quantitatively via bootstrap method based on numerous simulations. The Gaussian random variable can be used to describe the uncertainty, and the standard variation is proportional to the −0.5 power of the number of load conditions. The fatigue reliability evaluation model of FOWT is established considering this uncertainty, and sensitivity analysis is performed to assess the influence of different random variables. This study presents a multiscale four-dimensional variational data assimilation (MS-4DVar) scheme that aims to assimilate multiscale information from conventional and radar observations. The MS-4DVar scheme separately assimilates conventional and radar data in different outer loop iterations of an incremental 4DVar with varied resolutions in the tangent linear and adjoint models (TLM/ADM) and time window lengths in the 4DVar. The MS-4DVar scheme was evaluated through a series of single observation tests and several cycled assimilation and forecasting experiments for a real squall-line case. Our results indicated that different TLM/ADM resolutions and time window lengths applied to the conventional and radar observations improved the multiscale analysis. In addition, the MS-4DVar scheme was more efficient than the common 4DVar because of the low-resolution TLM/ADM used for conventional data and the shortened time window length for radar data. Verification of the squall-line forecasts suggested that the MS-4DVar scheme improved the hourly accumulated precipitation and radar reflectivity forecast skills and reduced the forecast errors of both large-scale environmental and convective-scale states. Further diagnosis revealed that the improvement of precipitation forecast skill was attributable to the stronger cold pool, deeper saturated water vapor layer, and stronger updraft of the simulated squall-line system, as well as a more favorable convective environment. Non‐carbon‐supported single‐atom electrocatalysts (SACs) have attracted tremendous research interest for water splitting, owning to their remarkable differences in bond and coordination, and better and tunable catalytic performance, compared with those carbon‐supported SACs and commercial catalysts. The electrocatalytic performance of these non‐carbon‐supported SACs is intimately related to the structure, surficial chemical groups, and vacancy defects of non‐carbon host materials, as well as the physico‐chemical properties and population of single atoms. The much widened range of host materials and types of single atoms create virtually limitless opportunities in the design of SACs with tunable structures and electrocatalysis behaviors. In this review, the recent progress of non‐carbon‐supported SACs for both oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is visited, where the unique local structures, electrocatalytic performance, catalytic centers and key preparation processes are presented. The characterizations down to atomic scales that can reveal the key local structures and catalytic mechanism are also investigated. New insights into the correlations between the structural evolution of these SACs during electrocatalytic reactions and their catalytic performance are examined. Finally, the major challenges faced by these new SACs are summarized, together with future perspectives on the rational design of superior non‐carbon‐supported SACs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Relative measurements play an important role in cooperative localization since they combine the observation from other agents and improve the state estimation accuracy. Due to the presence of uncertainty from agents’ location information, the model of relative measurements has to be modified to take the uncertainty into account. To this end, we present an equivalent relative observation model based on the unscented transformation to incorporate the relative measurements. The model enables each agent with the relative measurement from its neighboring agents to contribute to the estimation performance. In particular, the scheme of relative measurements is able to handle the outlier embedded in each agent’s measurement from environments, which prevents the estimate from being unbounded in this case. Meanwhile, we present two update schemes to incorporate the innovation information from the relative observations. One scheme absorbs the relative measurement after the update with anchor nodes while the other scheme utilizes the relative measurement in the sense of track-to-track fusion via a consistent fusion, which guarantees the consistency of the estimate. A simulation with four robots demonstrates that the performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to other conventional approaches, e.g. EKF without relative measurements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new species of the genus Amolops, Amolops ailao sp. nov., is described from central Yunnan, China. The new species belongs to the A. mantzorum species group. Phylogenetic analyses based on the combination of mitochondrial 16S rRNA, COI, and cytb genes revealed that the new species is the sister taxon to Amolops ottorum with strong support. Genetically, the new species differs from A. ottorum by 5.0% in cytb sequences. Morphologically, the new species can be distinguished from known congeners by the combination of the following characters: true dorsolateral folds absent, but dorsolateral folds formed by series of glands present; circummarginal groove on tip of first finger absent; body size small (males SVL 33.0–35.1 mm and female SVL 41.3 mm); HW/SVL 0.32‒0.35; UEW/SVL 0.08‒0.10; THL/SVL 0.52‒0.56; vomerine teeth absent; interorbital distance narrower than internarial distance; tympanum distinct, less than half eye diameter; supratympanic fold present, indistinct; a pair of large tubercles on sides of cloaca; tibiotarsal articulation reaching beyond anterior corner of eye; and vocal sac absent. The cladogenesis events within the A. mantzorum group rapidly occurred from Pliocene 4.23 Mya to Pleistocene 1.2 Mya, coinciding with the recent intensive uplift of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau since the Pliocene. Combining findings in this study with the most recent taxonomic progress, we consider that there are 20 known Amolops species in Yunnan, China, accounting for the highest proportion of amphibian diversity of Yunnan, and five of them belong to the A. mantzorum group. Among different subfauna and water systems in Yunnan, the species diversity of Amolops in northwestern Yunnan and Nu River Basin is highest. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

For the safe, stable, and economic operation of thermal power units in new power systems, the condition-based maintenance mode and storage strategy of key equipment and materials for power generation enterprises were selected. According to the storage linkage demand of condition-based maintenance, a Weibull probability density function was used to calculate spare parts demand, and an intelligent storage optimization model with an availability constraint was established. The application cases of spare parts cost and availability of high-value key equipment and low-value key equipment of coal-fired thermal power units were analyzed, respectively, and the influence of different life spans and the number of covered units on the model were expounded. The results show that the cost of spare parts borne by a single unit is greatly reduced via the optimization of an intelligent inventory (r, Q) strategy on the premise that the availability of units is not less than 99.5%.
