Any medical care must include regular consumption of the correct dose at the precise time. Because they are more likely to have chronic conditions, older persons consume more medications than younger adults. The majority of medications are used for years, while only a few are used for a brief period. Based on many research investigations, it has been discovered that on average, older individuals take 3 to 5 prescription drugs, and that owing to fading memory impairments, it becomes difficult for them to remember the dosage time and quantity. The dose is effective if it is given at the precise time and in the correct quantity; otherwise, the patient's health would deteriorate. This study proposes a medicine reminder device based on an algorithm that addresses and eliminates difficulties experienced by older adults, such as remembering time, name, quantity or amount of dose, with some specific description, feedback and assistance mechanisms. The device employs a system clock for reminders based on the time inputted, a television display for presenting medicine and meal images, and a speaker for voice help. Finally, a rack of devices is used to pick up the right dose, and a trigger feedback device is employed to notify the website that the drug has been taken.

Characterization of potentially stable sign pattern matrices has been a long-standing open problem. In this paper, we give some sufficient conditions for tree sign pattern matrices with all edges negative to allow a properly signed nest. We also characterize potentially stable star and path sign pattern matrices with all edges negative. We give a conjecture on characterizing potentially stable tree sign pattern matrices with all edges negative in terms of allowing a properly signed nest which is verified to be true for sign pattern matrices up to order 6. Finally, we characterize all 5-by-5 spectrally arbitrary tree sign pattern matrices with all edges negative.

Introduction and Objectives: Painful ophthalmoplegia is a clinical syndrome due to various underlying causes. The objective of the study is to determine the underlying pathological entities responsible for this potentially fatal condition. Various primary headache syndromes, facial pain syndromes and post traumatic and postsurgical pain syndromes were ruled out clinically. Materials and Methods: 107 patients satisfying our research definition of painful opthalmoplegia were enrolled in this study. The data was collected and analyzed systematically. Results and Interpretation: The common etiological causes for painful ophthalmoplegia are idiopathic inflammation of orbit (22 patients /20.5%), Tolosa hunt syndrome (13 patients /11.21%) followed by orbital cellulitis (11 patients /10.28%) fungal granuloma and mononeuritis multiplex (10 patients each /9.34%) granulomatosis with polyangiitis and tuberculous granuloma (5patients each/4.67%). Conclusions: most cases of painful opthalmoplegia are amenable to medical management provided an early and prompt diagnosis is made using appropriate diagnostic tools. The research was conducted from January 2019 to June 2019 to study the fish production and marketing system in fish zone, Rupandehi. Altogether 95 respondents including 27 small farmers, 35 medium farmers and 33 large farmers were selected for household survey using simple random sampling for the study. Statistical tools, Ms- excel and SPSS of version 23 were used for data analysis. From the study, it was evident that, six species of carps of fingerlings size were stocked with high average number of common carps (3885.5/ha.) followed by silver carp (3880.5/ha). The average production of fish species was 6.06ton/ha which is slightly higher than the national average. The observed data revealed that, marketing of major quantity of fish was from on farm sale i.e. 55.78% followed by local market sale (18.94%), live fish sale in retailers (5.26%). Similarly, percentage of farmers selling fish to wholesaler, consumers, retailers and neighbours were 63.3%, 30.5%, 26.5% and 26.3% respectively. Cost and returns analysis showed average B/C ratio of 2.13. Problem ranking using 5 point scale value showed high cost of feed as the most serious problem with index value of 0.94 in the study area.

A real square matrix is algebraically positive if there exists a real polynomial $f$ such that $f(A)$ is a positive matrix. In this paper, we give a sufficient condition for a sign pattern matrix to allow algebraic positivity, and give some methods to construct higher-order algebraically positive matrices from some lower-order algebraically positive matrices. The concept of an algebraically positive matrix was introduced by Kirkland, Qiao, and Zhan in 2016. A real square matrix A is said to be algebraically positive if there exists a real polynomial f such that f ( A ) is a positive matrix. In this paper, we give a new characterization of algebraically positive matrices, and characterize all tree sign pattern matrices that allow algebraic positivity, and all star and path sign pattern matrices that require algebraic positivity. Also, all tree sign pattern matrices of order less than 6 requiring algebraic positivity are characterized.

This Paper aims at evaluation of Critical Success Factors (CSF) and its attributes in Indian healthcare. Various problems of health care industry through analysis of factors and its attributes using factor analysis, correlation and other framework parameters has been done. It was found that Human Resource Capability, Infrastructural Resources were the most significant CSFs apart from Operational process, Team management and culture. Surprisingly findings revealed that factors namely Top Management and Leadership were least significant. As there is no clear framework for excellence in healthcare, where stakeholders are an integral part of complete service, developed CSF and its connectivity to attributes may help to resolve the service level issues of Indian Hospital.

Objective.To assess salivary gland ultrasonography (US) as a diagnostic tool for secondary Sjögren syndrome (sSS) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods.Salivary gland US images from 30 patients with RA were graded using a validated semiquantitative scoring system. Sicca symptoms, oral health, and RA disease activity were assessed.Results.US changes consistent with SS were found in 40% of patients. Patients with higher US scores had more sicca symptoms as well as higher RA activity and poorer oral health.Conclusion.Salivary gland US may aid the diagnosis of sSS in patients with RA.

The Midland Links motorway viaducts (MLMV) are a series of reinforced concrete structures comprising 21 km of elevated motorway around the outer circumference of Birmingham. Deterioration was identified early in their serviceable life due to chloride induced corrosion of the steel reinforcement. An electrochemical treatment utilising an impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) was successfully trialled in 1987 with the first large-scale commercial application of the treatment on the network in 1991. Since then it has been the principal corrosion management strategy for the MLMV, with 740 structures currently protected by ICCP. The aim of this paper is to offer a brief historical review of the MLMV network, discuss the deterioration mechanisms and review the historical developments of ICCP together with its overall performance as a corrosion-management method. Recent developments in cathodic protection technology and secondary beneficial effects of the ICCP previously not recognised are also discussed on how they can potentially result in significant cost savings for maintenance agencies for this and other similarly protected structures.

One of the major causes of failure of converter transformer is the incipient discharges caused due to deterioration of insulation. The insulation in the converter transformers is stressed not only by AC voltages but also with remnant DC voltages. The Acoustic Emission (AE) Technique can identify such incipient discharges in the converter transformer. In the present work, experimental studies were carried out by simulating various incipient discharges such as corona discharge, partial discharge (PD) and surface discharge in an insulation test cell under AC and DC voltages by using AE Technique. The bandwidth of the AE sensor used in the present study is of wide band type and the bandwidth lies in the range of 100 kHz-1 MHz. It is observed that AE signals produced due to different incipient discharges are having different dominant frequency range, amplitude, rise time, number of pulses and energy. To classify the discharges an innovative methodology is adopted by constructing the ternary plot from the FFT output of AE signal generated by the incipient discharges.
