Stödmaterial från Skolverket om demokratiarbetet i förskolan och forskning visar att en glidning från den kollektiva gemenskapen har skett mot ett alltmer individuellt förhållningssätt, medan merparten av studiens tidigare forskningen belyser att delaktigheten i gemenskapen ses som viktig. Det väcker en undran hur det kollektiva och individuella synliggörs i förskolans praktik. En minietnografisk studie med observation och informella samtal användes som metod för att få syn på de olika förhållningssätt pedagogerna använder i arbetet med den demokratiska värdegrunden. Studien utfördes på en förskola med barn i åldern 3-5 år. Studien fann att det användes flera olika förhållningssätt för att fånga både det individuella barnet, och gemenskapen i gruppen till ett möjligt lärande om och genom demokrati.I studien har vi identifierat 14 olika förhållningssätt, där vissa används mer och andra mindre. Merparten av förhållningssätten behövs för att lyfta fram olika demokratiska värden och inget förhållningssätt ska ses som bättre än den andre. Studien fann även förhållningssätt som försvårade arbetet med den demokratiska värdegrunden. Både tidigare forskning och resultatet av studien visar på vikten av att ha kollegiala diskussioner om vad arbetet med den demokratiska värdegrunden står för och hur det ska gå till för att inte utmynna i omedvetna förhållningssätt från pedagogerna

The protection of the cultural environment is a part of the concept of sustainable development and is a public interest. According to chapter 3, section 6 of The Environmental Code, areas of national interest for the purpose of conservation of the cultural environment shall be protected against measures that damage the cultural environment. The national interest regulation has been criticized for being difficult to apply in practice. At the same time, the possibility to erect wind power has increased in areas where it was impossible just a few years ago. Such renewable energy sources are an important part of sustainable development, but wind power can damage national interest by visual damage. This essay aims to identify factors that can favor as well as factors that impede the possibility of uniform enforcement of the national interest regulation. To identify such factors, two instruments developed by Swedish National Heritage Board have been analyzed. These instruments are one manual and one platform, both created to promote uniform enforcement. The use of concepts in these documents has been compared to the use of concepts in three judgments that all concern applications to erect wind power close to areas of national interest for the purpose of conservation of the cultural environment. Six people who work within different County Administrative Boards have also been interviewed. The analysis shows that the criteria used to identify areas of national interest concern factors that can be related to merits that are scientific and describe the values from a cultural-historical point of view. In the analyzed judgments, there is a prevalence of social factors when describing the areas of national interest for the purpose of conservation of the cultural environment. The analysis also shows that concepts are being described in the manual and platform are being used inconsistently within the judgments and between the judgments. This can result in inconsistent use of the national interest regulation that impairs the rule of law. In the analysis, it is also shown that the prevalence of modern elements can be a mitigating as well as an aggravating factor when deciding the damage to the cultural environment. The interpretation of the regulation in one of the judgments can lead to the fact that only those areas of national interest that are very isolated, with a connection between the isolation and the values that are of national interest, are protected against wind power. One proposed change is that the environmental courts should use a technical judge with knowledge within the cultural-historical field. This can help create a common ground where concepts are being used consistently. It is also suggested that a holistic view of sustainable development can promote both protection of cultural environments and the possibilities to erect wind power.

High-grade gastroenteropancreatic (HG-GEP) NEN are highly aggressive cancers. The molecular etiology of these tumors remains unclear and the prevalence of pathogenic germline variants in patients with HG-GEP-NEN is unknown. We assessed sequencing data of 360 cancer genes in normal tissue, from 240 patients with HG GEP-NEN; 198 patients with NEC and 42 with NET G3. Applying strict criteria, we identified pathogenic germline variants and compared the frequency with previously reported data from 33 different cancer types. We found a recurrent MYOC variant in 3 patients and a recurrent MUTYH variant in 2 patients, indicating that these genes may be important underlying risk factors for HG-GEP-NEN, when mutated. Further, germline variants were found in canonical tumor suppressor genes, such as TP53, RB1, BRIP1 and BAP1. Overall, we found that 4.5% of patients with NEC and 9.5% of patients with NET G3 carry germline pathogenic or highly likely pathogenic variants. Applying identical criteria for variant classification in-silico to mined data from 33 other cancer types, the median percentage of patients carrying pathogenic or highly likely pathogenic variants was 3.4% (range: 0-17%). The patients with NEC and pathogenic germline variants had a median overall survival of 9 months, similar to what is generally expected for metastatic GEP-NEC. A patient with NET G3 and pathogenic MUTYH variant had much shorter overall survival than expected. The fraction of HG GEP-NEN with germline pathogenic variants is relatively high, but still

BACKGROUND: Ovarian cancer is the eighth most common cancer among women and has a 5-year survival of only 30-50%. The survival is close to 90% for patients in stage I but only 20% for patients in stage IV. The presently available biomarkers have insufficient sensitivity and specificity for early detection and there is an urgent need to identify novel biomarkers. METHODS: We employed the Explore PEA technology for high-precision analysis of 1463 plasma proteins and conducted a discovery and replication study using two clinical cohorts of previously untreated patients with benign or malignant ovarian tumours (N = 111 and N = 37). RESULTS: The discovery analysis identified 32 proteins that had significantly higher levels in malignant cases as compared to benign diagnoses, and for 28 of these, the association was replicated in the second cohort. Multivariate modelling identified three highly accurate models based on 4 to 7 proteins each for separating benign tumours from early-stage and/or late-stage ovarian cancers, all with AUCs above 0.96 in the replication cohort. We also developed a model for separating the early-stage from the late-stage achieving an AUC of 0.81 in the replication cohort. These models were based on eleven proteins in total (ALPP, CXCL8, DPY30, IL6, IL12, KRT19, PAEP, TSPAN1, SIGLEC5, VTCN1, and WFDC2), notably without MUCIN-16. The majority of the associated proteins have been connected to ovarian cancer but not identified as potential biomarkers. CONCLUSIONS: The results show the ability of using high-precision proteomics for the identification of novel plasma protein biomarker candidates for the early detection of ovarian cancer.

Syftet med studien var att få förståelse för hur chefer upplever arbetet med arbetsgivarvarumärket för att attrahera och behålla medarbetare trots avsaknaden av en employer branding-strategi. Employer branding är en strategi som innefattar arbetet med att attrahera och behålla medarbetare genom att marknadsföra arbetsgivarvarumärket. Företag inom stålindustrin upplever stora svårigheter med att attrahera och behålla medarbetare. För att uppnå syftet har en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer tillämpats där chefer på ett företag inom stålindustrin har intervjuats. Studien har undersökt om företagets nuvarande arbete med arbetsgivarvarumärket, attrahera och behålla medarbetare fungerar eller om det blir mer tydligt och samordnat om företaget skulle ha en employer branding-strategi. Resultatet visade att företaget inte har ett tydligt definierat arbetsgivarvarumärke. Vidare visade resultatet att företaget har en strategi för att attrahera den beskrivna målgruppen. Slutligen visade resultatet att det genomförs en stor variation av insatser på företaget för att behålla medarbetare och det framkommer att det inte finns någon tydlig strategi för detta. Studiens slutsats är att arbetsgivarvarumärket är en nyckelfaktor i arbetet med att attrahera och behålla medarbetare på ett tydligt och samordnat sätt. De unika egenskaper som arbetsgivarvarumärket marknadsför är grunden för hur chefer ska arbeta samordnat med strategier kring attrahera och behålla medarbetare. Employer branding kan vara ett hjälpmedel för att samla strategierna men det är arbetsgivarvarumärket som skapar tydligheten och den ”röda tråden” i arbetet med att attrahera och behålla medarbetare. Studien ska bidra med förståelse för hur företag kan arbeta med arbetsgivarvarumärket för att attrahera och behålla medarbetare utan att ha en implementerad employer branding-strategi. Då behöver företaget definiera och arbeta strategiskt med arbetsgivarvarumärket för att skapa en tydlighet och samordning i arbetet med att attrahera och behålla medarbetare. The purpose of the study was to gain an understanding of how managers experience the work with the employer brand in order to attract and retain employees despite the lack of an employer branding strategy. Employer branding is a strategy that includes the work of attracting and retaining employees by marketing the employer brand. Companies in the steel industry have great difficulty in attracting and retaining employees. To achieve the purpose, a qualitative method with semistructured interviews has been applied where managers at a company in the steel industry have been interviewed. What the study has examined is whether the company's current work with the employer brand, attracting and retaining employees works or whether it becomes clearer and more coordinated if the company had an employer branding strategy. The results showed that the company does not have a clearly defined employer brand. Furthermore, the results showed that the company has a strategy for attracting the described target group. Finally, the results showed that a large variety of efforts are made at the company to retain employees and it appears that there is no clear strategy for this. The study concludes that the employer brand is a key factor in the work of attracting and retaining employees in a clear and coordinated way. The unique characteristics that the employer brand markets are the foundation for how managers should work in a coordinated way with strategies for attracting and retaining employees. Employer branding can be a tool for gathering strategies, but it is the employer brand that creates the clarity and the "common thread" in the work of attracting and retaining employees. The study will contribute with an understanding how companies can work with the employer brand to attract and retain employees without having an implemented employer branding strategy. Then the company needs to define and work strategically with the employer brand to create clarity and coordination in the work of attracting and retaining employees.

Undersökningen utfördes åt Ronneby Miljö & Teknik AB, som är ett kommunalägt bolag i Ronneby kommun. Bolaget är inom kommunen ansvarigt för renhållning, fjärrvärme och likande. Precis som i många andra kommuner i Sverige går idag textilavfallet till energiåtervinning genom förbränning. Detta vill Ronneby Miljö & Teknik AB ändra på och syftet med arbetet var därför att undersöka vilka möjligheter som fanns för textilinsamling i kommunen. Ytterligare har det undersökts vilka andra projekt och likande som genomförts av kommuner och andra aktörer i samhället för att minska textilernas belastning på miljön och klimatet. Undersökningen har framför allt genomförts genom litteratursökning, samt intervjuer vid behov. Det har därtill kopplats till den lagstiftning och de miljömål som finns. Resultatet visar att den främsta och vanligaste metoden för insamling av textiler inom kommuner idag är via samarbete med ideella organisationer. Utvecklingen är på god väg för att ta hand om textilavfall på andra sätt genom olika typer av materialåtervinning. Dock har utvecklingen inte kommit tillräckligt långt för att kunna ta emot det blandade textilavfall som vanligen det kommunala avfallet består av. Dessutom är ett producentansvar på väg att införas vilket antas påverka det beslut som kommer att tas för textilinsamling i Ronneby kommun.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a great impact on the society and its inhabitants and this is first and foremost a result of the closed national borders and limited opportunities to travel. Despite these societal restrictions it was stated in a press release that the seizures of drugs had increased in quantity during the pandemic. Because of this it is of interest to examine such a highly topical phenomenon and to see which factors contributed to these results. The purpose with this study is to examine if the concerned authorities experience any change in the drug smuggling to Sweden during the Covid-19 pandemic and to examine possible factors that can be contributing to these changes. In the results it was presented that the reason for the change in seizure statistics was changing methods made by the smugglers and how the drugs were being transported. This is a consequence due to possibilities that were no problem to use earlier were all of the sudden impossible to use due to prevailing societal situations. Further on is the statistics a result of change in working methods within the crime preventing authorities regarding how to place their resources. Encrochat was also a contributing factor to why the statistics are the way it is. Finally it is worth to mention that since the Covid-19 pandemic is an ongoing phenomenon it is problematic to draw an actual conclusion regarding which factors contribute to why the statistics look the way it does and which ones that do not contribute. Because of this it is of high relevance to examine this phenomenon once again when the pandemic is over to be able to figure out if the pandemic was the main reason to why the development in the statistics looks the way it does or if there are any other factors that has had a bigger part in this. Covid-19 pandemin har haft en stor påverkan på samhället och dess invånare och detta är främst ett resultat av stängda landsgränser och begränsade resmöjligheter. Men trots dessa samhällsrestriktioner uttalade Tullverket sig i ett pressmeddelande att beslagen av narkotika har ökat i mängd under pandemin. Det var därför av intresse att undersöka ett sådant högaktuellt fenomen och se vilka faktorer som bidrog till detta resultatet som Tullverket presenterade. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om berörda myndigheter upplever att det finns någon förändring i narkotikasmugglingen till Sverige under Covid-19 pandemin jämfört med innan pandemin samt att undersöka vilka möjliga faktorer som kan vara bidragande till dessa förändringar. I resultatet från intervjuerna framkom det att anledningen till den förändrade beslagsstatistiken är ändrade metoder från smugglarna och hur de transporterar narkotikan. Detta är en konsekvens av att de möjligheter som tidigare inte var några problem att använda helt plötsligt inte längre är möjliga på grund av rådande samhällssituation. Vidare är statistiken ett resultat av förändrade arbetsformer inom de brottsförebyggande myndigheterna vad gäller hur myndigheterna ska placera sina resurser och vart det är störst sannolikhet att narkotikan kommer in till Sverige. Informanterna belyste även Encrochat som en bidragande faktor till varför statistiken kan se ut som den gör, flera ärenden har gått till åtal till följd av upplösningen av Encrochat och kriminella nätverk har varit tvungna att omorganiseras. Slutligen är det värt att nämna att eftersom Covid-19 pandemin är ett pågående fenomen är det problematiskt att dra en slutsats gällande de faktiska bidragande faktorerna till varför statistiken ser ut som den gör. Det är därför av hög relevans att undersöka fenomenet på nytt när pandemin över för att undersöka om pandemin verkligen var den huvudsakliga faktor till varför utvecklingen ser ut som den gör eller om det finns andra faktorer som har haft större roll.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the differences between the genres War and Crime and how they portray the protagonist and the antagonist. Also how concentrated ownership can cause consequences for the content in movies from our chosen genres. This is examined by top 50 movies within the two genres from IMDb's Box Office listing. The theoretical framework used is Edward Saids description of orientalism. For the nationalism segment a book from Steve Grosby and articles from Kathy Warners and Jason Dittmer is used. Olof Peterssons book Opinionsbildning and an article from Matthew Alford is used for the propaganda segment. The paper is written based on a quantitative content analysis where we analyzed the US Box Office top 50 movies in the war and Crime genre. We chose quantitative content analysis because we wanted to work with objective answers and get visual statistics. We have used a convenience sample when sampling our movies. To code the chosen movies we created our own code sheet and codebook. We used the program SPSS to get different charts, which we drew results and statistics from. The results from our analysis with the help from our theoretical framework helped bring answers to our questions of issues. The results show that the market is ownership concentrated with six production companies responsible for the majority. The protagonist for the genre war is mostly an military American man while the antagonist is from Germany or the Middle East and not personified deeper. For Crime the protagonist for the majority is an American man within the police profession or a criminal. The antagonists are criminal American men. A conclusion from the results is that American production companies make movies for Americans with content focusing on Americans. This strengthens the nationalism within the country simultaneously as it clarifies the enemy by creating a strong “us and them”-feeling. Movies can be used as a channel for propaganda and to affect people's views and values. The concentrated ownership can create difficulties for smaller production companies to compete and spread their message.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att uppmärksamma hur litteratur kan påverka arbetet med demokratifrågor, och särskilt jämställdhet, inom ämnet svenska som andraspråk. Detta har gjorts genom analys av tre utvalda böcker som används av lärare som undervisar på gymnasial nivå. Analysen har skett med hjälp av två typer av utvecklingar av Bechdel-testet. Dessa utvecklingar möjliggör poängsättning genom ett värde baserat på jämställdheten i talutrymme mellan kvinnor och män respektive mellan människor som har migrationsbakgrund och människor som inte har det. Studiens resultat visar att de analyserade böckerna alla visar brister i jämställdhet, i den meningen att de kvinnliga karaktärerna får tala mindre men också sällan om något som inte innehåller en manlig referens. Av de tre böckerna innehåller två karaktärer med migrationsbakgrund, men i en av böckerna får de aldrig komma till tals och i den andra får de aldrig tala om något som inte berör deras migrationsbakgrund. I detta ljus diskuteras för det ena böckernas lämplighet gällande arbete med demokratifrågor med huvudfokus på jämställdhet under studien, och för det andra huruvida en kvantifiering av böckers jämställdhetsaspekter är giltig och användbar i samband med val av böcker för undervisningen.

The results of studies on the relationship between cancer and COVID-19 have been conflicting and therefore further studies are needed. We aimed to examine the incidence of COVID-19 among patients at one of the largest oncology departments in Sweden, and to evaluate and identify risk factors for poor outcomes, hospital care and death, associated with COVID-19 among cancer patients. This retrospective study included cancer patients at a single center who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR either in hospital, primary health care center or commercial laboratory between 1 March and 14 August 2020. Clinical and demographic data were collected from the medical records. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify variables that associated the primary outcomes of need for hospital care and death within 30 days of positive test. Of 10,774 patients from the Department of Oncology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, 135 tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 (1.3%). Twenty-eight patients were excluded from further the data collection since they did not meet the inclusion criteria. Altogether, 107 cancer patients were included and the case fatality rate (CFR) was 12% (13) within 30 days of confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection by PCR. Increasing years of age (OR 1.10; CI 95% 1.03–1.18), palliative treatment intent (OR 15.7; CI 95% 1.8–135.8), and transition to end-of-life care (OR 52.0; CI 95% 3.7–735.6) were associated with increased odds of death within 30 days. Male sex was associated with needing hospital care (OR 3.7; CI 95% 1.50–9.1). As in the general population, male sex was found to be at greater risk of needing hospital care for COVID-19, with terminal cancer disease, and older age increasing the odds of fatality. Compared to the general population, slightly more cancer patients had COVID-19. The CFR was within the lower range of others reported in cancer patients.
