Abstract

The recently observed accelerated expansion of the universe has put a challenge for its theoretical understanding. As a possible explanation of this, it is considered that the most part of the present universe is filled with a form of energy that exerts a negative pressure called dark energy, which drives the acceleration. In the present work, we assume a dynamical dark energy model, where dark energy interacts with matter and grows at the expense of the latter. Using this model, we discuss the evolution of the universe within the context of loop quantum cosmology. Our work successfully explains the presently observed accelerated expansion of the universe, by predicting that the present universe is phantom dominated. We also found that in the past, the expansion of the universe was decelerated one and transition from deceleration to acceleration would occur at $t_{q=0}=0.688t_0$, where $t_0$ is the present age of the universe. Abstract

Objective(s): Using a quality-by-design methodology, the current research is aimed to prepare and enhance the PEGylated PLGA-loaded regorafenib monohydrate polymeric nanoparticles for enhancing oral bioavailability and biopharmaceutical attributes. The oral multi-kinase inhibitor inhibits VEGFR2-TIE2 tyrosine kinases on two separate targets, which results in anti-angiogenic activity. It also inhibits stromal and oncogenic receptor tyrosine kinases. Materials and Methods: The current study developed nanosized, biocompatible, and PEGylated PLGA polymeric nanoparticles to administer regorafenib monohydrate to patients with metastatic colon cancer. This was accomplished using a modified nanoprecipitation technique to make drug-encapsulated PEGylated PLGA nanoparticles with poloxamer 188 as a stabilizer. Results: The polymeric nanoformulations were characterized for zeta potential, distribution of particle size, entrapment efficiency, DSC, FT-IR, X-RD, and SEM. Both in vitro and in vivo experimental studies were performed for the pure drug and the improved nanoparticle formulation. Conclusion: The nanoparticles obtained from optimization studies were found to have smaller particle sizes, higher entrapment efficiency (%), drug loading capacity, spherical shape particles, amorphous drug embedded matrix, and a biphasic delayed release pattern. These findings suggest that drug-loaded PEGylated PLGA nanoparticles are a potent formulation for the treatment of colon cancer, with improved oral bioavailability and biopharmaceutical properties. Abstract

Thermo-acoustic study of binary and ternary mixtures has interesting results. In this communication we have reported interaction between niacin with alcohol-water and also in ethylene glycol medium. The densities and speed of sound for liquid solutions containing vitamin B3 (niacin) at discrete (0.03, 0.05, 0.07 and 0.09 mol·kg−1) concentrations in aqueous methanol and with ethylene glycol solvent at different temperatures have been measured by the help of multi-frequency ultrasonic interferometer. From volumetric experimental data "Wada's Constant (W), Rao's Constant (R), Vander Waal's constant (b), intermolecular free length (Lf), acoustic impedance (Z), apparent molar volume (Vɸ)" are calculated. The "apparent molar isentropic compression (Kɸ,s), hydration number (nH)" are calculated using experimental acoustic data. The inter and intra molecular interactions of niacin in liquid medium are reported in this communication. The solute-solvent interactions in the said binary and ternary mixtures are also discussed. Abstract

Background: The manufacture and study of innovative materials that enable the availability of relevant technologies are vital in light of the energy demands of various human activities and the need for a substantial shift in the energy matrix.Objective: A strategy based on the creation of enhanced applications for batteries has been devised to reduce the conversion, storage, and feeding of renewable energy like fuel cells and electrochemical capacitors.Methods: Conductive polymers (CP) can be utilised instead of traditional inorganic chemicals. Electrochemical energy storage devices with similar capabilities can be built using approaches based on the production of composite materials and nanostructures.Results: CP's nanostructuring is notable for its concentration on synergistic coupling with other materials, which sets it apart from other nanostructures that have been developed in the preceding two decades. This is due to the fact that, when paired with other materials, their distinctive morphology and adaptability significantly enhance performance in areas like the suppression of ionic diffusion trajectories, electronic transport and the improvement of ion penetrability and intercalation spaces.Conclusion: The present study forecasts the wide-ranging modern applications of diverse nanostructured dielectric materials along with its future prospectives. The potential contributions of nanostructured carbon nanotubes to the development of innovative materials for energy storage devices are also critically discussed in this context, which delivers a summary of the present state of information on this emerging topic.
