56. Symplocos lancilimba Merr. (Symplocaceae) in Philipp. J. Sci. 23(3): 259. 1923. TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Yik Tsok Mau, 18 May 1922, F. A. McClure 3122 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 9672) (syntype: PNH, destroyed, A 00077130 image!, A 00077131 image!, A 00077132 image!). Merrill (1923) validly published the name Symplocos lancilimba Merr. with only one gathering, McClure 9672, cited in the protologue.
