This paper evaluates an electronic current transformer's wideband accuracy in the transformation of distorted current harmonics. The tests were performed in the range of frequencies from 50 Hz to 5 kHz. The utmost importance was dedicated to the transformation of the low-order higher harmonics. The novelty of this paper involves the analysis of the self-generation of the third and fifth higher harmonics caused by the nonlinearity of magnetic core magnetization characteristics. Therefore, what is considered new in this investigation is that this phenomenon has a significant influence on values of current errors and phase displacements despite the presence of the operational amplifiers and the Hall sensors in the output circuits. Another important factor to consider is the influence of the RMS value of the primary current and output load of the ECT on wideband accuracy. To show the backgrounds of the performed laboratory studies, we also discuss the operation principles of the ECTs with closed and open feedback loops. The accuracy of the tested ECT deteriorated—as with the inductive CT—by the self-generation phenomenon. In the article the authors presented the results of the study of parasitic parameters of interdigitated electrodes (IDEs) produced in physical vacuum deposition process (PVD) on the elastic composite substrate — Cordura. Such structures can be the part of an entire electronic system created on textiles. Knowledge of the parasitic parameters of that structures allows for using them as the sensor of nonelectrical quantities. Staphylococcus aureus is a bacterium which people have been in contact with for thousands of years. Its presence often leads to severe disorders of the respiratory and circulatory systems. The authors of this article present a prototype of a textronic sensor enabling the detection of this bacterium. This sensor was created using a process of physical vacuum deposition on a flexible textile substrate which can be implemented on clothing. With increasing numbers of bacterial colonies, changes in the sensor's electrical parameters were observed. The sensor's resistance reduced by 50% and the capacitance more than doubled within the first two days of starting bacterial cultures. Extensive changes in electrical parameters were observed at 100 Hz and 120 Hz of the measurement signal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The scientific novelty of the proposed article lies in the development of the theory of analysis of the operation modes of group pump units operating on a long pipeline network with back pressure. This was achieved by creating electric equivalent circuits of group pump units based on the method of electrohydraulic analogy. Such equivalent circuits take into account pumps' connection circuits, the configuration of the pipeline network, and the method of regulating technological parameters. A method for determining the characteristics of pump units with series and parallel connection is proposed. The dependences of the power consumed by the pump units on the change in the frequency of rotation of the adjustable pump are obtained for various parameters of the hydraulic network. This makes it possible to determine the limits of energy-efficient regulation of pump discharge. Analytical expressions for determining the lower limit of the pump rotation frequency for various circuits of turbo mechanism connection and various numbers of pumps operating simultaneously on a pipeline network with back pressure are proposed. The necessary range of adjustment of the pump rotation frequency with different circuits for turbo mechanism connection and different numbers of hydraulic machines operating at the same time is determined. The analysis of the obtained modes of pump units is performed and the possibility of expanding the controlled properties of the group electric drive systems of turbomachines when changing the direction of the rotation frequency and reversing the liquid in the event of an emergency situation is shown. This paper compares methods for measuring selected morphological features on the surface of thin metallic layers applied to flexible textile substrates. The methods were tested on a silver layer with a thickness of several hundred nanometers, which was applied to a textile composite with the trade name Cordura. Measurements were carried out at the micro scale using both optical coherent tomography (OCT) and the traditional contact method of using a profilometer. Measurements at the micro-scale proved the superiority of the OCT method over the contact method. The method of contactless measurement employs a dedicated algorithm for three-dimensional surface image analysis and does not affect the delicate surface structure of the measured layer in any way. Assessment of the surface profile of textile substrates and the thin films created on them, is important when estimating the contact angle, wetting behavior, or mechanical durability of the created metallic structure that can be used as the electrodes or elements of wearable electronics or textronics systems.
