The use of renewable energy sources has been increasing rapidly in recent years. As a result of this situation, PV panels are encountered in many applications in daily life. The performance of PV systems is greatly influenced by factors such as the environment and the weather. Examples include shading or partial shading conditions due to clouding, dusting and snow that cause PV systems not to operate at maximum power points. In this study, in order to analyze the results of these conditions modelling of a grid connected PV/Battery system feeding linear loads was performed. The proposed system simulated via PSCAD and the performance analysis of the system under different shading scenarios was conducted. As a result ofsimulation studies, it is observed that perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm used for maximum power point tracking was stuck at local maximum power points and the PV system operated at low efficiency.&nbsp, Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının kullanımı son yıllarda hızla artmaktadır. Bu durum sonucunda PV paneller ile günlük hayatta birçok uygulamada karşılaşılmaktadır. PV sistemlerin performansı çevre ve hava durumu gibi etmenlerden büyük oranda etkilenmektedir. Buna örnek olarak bulutlar, tozlanma, kar gibi nedenlerle meydana gelen gölgelenme veya kısmi gölgelenme durumlarının PV sistemlerin maksimum güç noktalarında çalışmasına neden olması gösterilebilir. Bu çalışmada bu durumun sonuçlarını incelemek üzere şebeke bağlantılı ve doğrusal yükleri besleyen bir PV/Akü sisteminin modellemesi yapılmıştır. Önerilen sistemin PSCAD ile benzetim çalışmaları yapılmış ve farklı gölgelenme senaryoları için performansı incelenmiştir. Benzetim çalışmaları sonucunda PV sistemin maksimum güç noktası izlemesi (MPPT) için kullanılan hata & gözlem (P&O) algoritmasının PV sistemin yerel maksimum noktalarında takılıp düşük verimle çalıştığı gözlenmiştir.&nbsp

Lineer olmayan yüklerin endüstride artan kullanımıyla harmonik, kırpışma ve dengesizlikler önemli bir sorun olmuştur. Dağıtım/iletim hatlarında olan yıldırımlar ve çeşitli şebeke hataları geçişlere, gerilim düşümlerine/yükselimlerine ve kesintilere neden olabilir. Güç elektroniği cihazlarının fiyatlarının azalması, çevirici ve enerji depolama cihazlarının verimliliklerinin artmasıyla, yeni teknolojik çözüm olan Özel Güç Cihazlarının güç kalitesi problemlerini yok etmek için kullanılabilirliğini arttırmıştır. Statik Transfer Anahtarı (STA) genellikle kesintileri ve gerilim düşümü/yükselimini düzeltmek için kullanılır. Aktif Güç Filtresi (AGF) genellikle akım harmoniklerini, kırpışmaları ve dengesizlikleri elemek için kullanılır. Dinamik Gerilim İyileştirici (DGİ) genellikle gerilim düşümü/yükselimini kompanse etmek için kullanılır, Birleştirilmiş Güç Kalitesi Düzenleyici (BGKD)ise DGİ ve AGF’nin özelliklerini gerçekleştirir. Bu çalışmada güç kalitesinin temelleri, Özel Güç cihazlarının konfigürasyonları ve temel çalışma prensipleri sunulmuştur, Harmonics, flicker and imbalance have become serious concerns with the increasing use of nonlinear loads in industries. Lightning strikes on transmission/distribution lines and several network faults can also cause transients, voltage sag/swell and interruption. Decrease in the cost of power electronic devices and improvement in the efficiency of both power converters and energy storage components have increased the applicability of new technological solutions such as Custom Power devices to mitigate the power quality disturbances. Static Transfer Switch (STS) is generally used to mitigate voltage sag/swell and interruption, Active Power Filter (APF) is generally used to eliminate current harmonics, flicker and imbalance, Dynamic Voltage Restore (DVR) is generally used to compensate voltage sag/swell and Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) performs the tasks of DVR and APF. In this paper, the basics of power quality, configuration and operation principles of custom power devices are presented.

Energy consumption is increasing gradually with worldwide industrialization. This increase creates a high demand for production which depends on mostly fossil fuels. The use of fossil fuels leads to environmental pollution. Additionally, remaining reserves are limited. Internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles are the most widely used vehicles worldwide and there is an enormous amount of fossil fuel consumption by them. Furthermore emissions released to nature by these vehicles are pollutants and they are big chink in our nature’s armor. Because of these reasons, nowadays the demand for electric vehicles (EV) is increasing as an alternative form of transportation. Thus, EVs put themselves forward. In this paper, a charging station infrastructure for commercial electric vehicles used in public and their integration to an existing system is studied that intended to be used in university in near future. Case studies are examined and their results are compared., Dünya çapındaki endüstriyelleşme enerji tüketiminin giderek artmasına sebep olmuştur. Artan bu tüketim fosil yakıtlar tarafından karşılanmaktadır. Fosil yakıt tüketimi ise çevre kirliliğine sebep olmaktadır. Buna ek olarak dünya fosil yakıt rezervleri ise giderek azalmaktadır. İçten yanmalı motorlu taşıtlar dünya genelinde en yaygın olarak kullanılan taşıtlardır ve büyük miktarlarda fosil yakıt tüketmektedirler. Dahası bu araçlardan çevreye yayılan emisyonlar doğaya büyük oranda zarar vermektedirler. Bu sebeplerden ötürü, günümüzde elektrikli araçlara olan ilgi artmış ve taşımacılık sektöründe alternatif bir çözüm olarak elektrikli araçlar öne çıkmışlardır. Bu makalede, yakın gelecekte üniversitede kullanılması öngörülen elektrikli araçlar için şarj istasyonu altyapısı ve bu altyapının var olan sisteme entegrasyonu çalışılmıştır.

Personel tanıma ve kimlik doğrulama sistemleri günümüzde elektronik tabanlı güvenlik sistemlerinde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu sistemler veri toplama ve değerlendirme bileşenlerinden meydana gelmektedirler. Veri toplama işlemleri akıllı kartlar, manyetik kartlar ve biyometrik sistemlerle yapılabilmektedir. Bu tür sistemlerin algılama elemanları ve bakım gereksinimleri nedeniyle maliyetleri değişim göstermektedir. Güvenlikli olması istenen ortamlara girişte kullanılacak kişisel bilgilerin kaydedilmesi ve kullanılması da riskler içermektedir. Bu çalışmada yukarıda belirtilen dezavantajları ortadan kaldıran bluetooth tabanlı yazılım ve donanım öğeleri bulunan bir sistem geliştirilmiştir.Key Words : Bluetooth, device discovery, ID Concurrent identity authentication systems based on electronics are widely used in security systems. These systems consist of data gathering and verification components. The data can be acquired using smart cards, magnetic stripe cards and biometric systems. The costs of such systems, however, can vary due to different sensory elements and maintenance needs. Recording and using personal information, data acquisition during the entrance to a certain area, where secure accessing is demanded, pose some risks. Türkiye’de sanayi sektörü hızla gelişmektedir. Türk sanayisi için mevcut güç kalite seviyesinin tespit edilmesi ve yüksek verimlilik ile karlılık için güç kalitesi (GK) iyileştirme yöntemlerinin ekonomik getirilerinin belirlenmesi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, güç kalitesi problemleri ve standartları için geniş bir literatür araştırması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Güç kalitesi problemlerinin etkilerini azaltıcı yöntemler, yaşanan problemler ve bu problemlerden kaynaklanan zararlarla ilgili kapsamlı bir anket formu Türkiye’nin güney organize sanayi bölgesindeki 24 endüstriyel işletmeye yöneltilmiştir. Anket çalışmasından alınan en önemli sonuçlar sunulmuş olup, sonuçların analizine göre geleneksel ve/veya yeni teknolojik çözümler önerilmiştir. Bu çalışma, gelişmekte olan ülkemiz için, güç kalitesi konusunda yapılabilecek çalışmalarda faydalı bir referans olacaktır. The industry sector has been rapidly growing in Turkey. It is necessary for Turkish industry to identify its present level of power quality (PQ) and to know about the cost effective PQ improvement devices for higher efficiency and profitability. To this aim, a wide literature survey for PQ problems and standards was performed. Comprehensive questionnaire form concerned power quality knowledge, mitigation methods of PQ problems, real experienced problems and PQ related damages were directed to 24 industrial plants in south industrial districts of Turkey. The key results from the questionnaire survey are presented and the available and new technological solutions are offered analyzing the results. This study will be useful reference for other developing countries.

FACTS devices are used to control the power flow, to increase the transmission capacity and to optimize the stability of the power system. One of the most widely used FACTS devices is Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). The controller used in the control mechanism has a significantly effects on controlling of the power flow and enhancing the system stability of UPFC. According to this, the capability of UPFC is observed by using different control mechanisms based on P, PI, PID and fuzzy logic controllers (FLC) in this study. FLC was developed by taking consideration of Takagi- Sugeno inference system in the decision process and Sugeno-s weighted average method in the defuzzification process. Case studies with different operating conditions are applied to prove the ability of UPFC on controlling the power flow and the effectiveness of controllers on the performance of UPFC.
