New helium isotopic data of ores and rocks from the Altay orogenic zone, Xinjiang, China are reported, which show that the pegmatites from No. 3 vein in the Keketuohai area have high3He/4He ratios up to 1.795 × 10−6 and 2.54 × 10−6. Such a result suggests that the metallogenic process of rare metal deposits in the Altay orogenic zone might be related to mantle degassing.

Atorvastatin, a hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA reductase inhibitor, and endothelin-1 (ET-1) receptor antagonist have been separately indicated to ameliorate disease progression in atherosclerosis. However, no study has evaluated the effect of their combination on atherosclerosis. The objective of the current study was to evaluate the direct in vivo effects of a combination regimen of atorvastatin and ET-1 receptor antagonist on male New Zealand white rabbit models of atherosclerosis (injury-induced). Thirty-two atherosclerotic rabbits were divided into four experimental groups: (a) injury group - fed high-fat diet; (b) ET-1 receptor antagonist preventive group - fed high-fat diet, but with intragastric administration of the ET-1 receptor antagonist, darusentan; (c) combined preventive group - fed high-fat diet, but with intragastric administration of both darusentan and atorvastatin; and (d) treatment group - fed high-fat diet for the first 8 weeks, followed by normal diet and intragastric administration of both darusentan and atorvastatin up to 16 weeks. A further eight non-atherosclerotic rabbits were fed normal diet and classified as the control group. At the end of 8 and 16 weeks, compared with the injury group, the combined preventive group had significant reduction in both the concentration of serum lipids and inflammatory factors and atherosclerosis formation, indicative of a multifaceted anti-atherosclerotic impact. The relative area of atherosclerotic lesions in the injury group (30.84%) was significantly higher than the control group (4.62%; p < 0.05). The combined preventive group showed a significantly robust effect on lowering serum lipid, inflammatory cytokines, and maintained homeostatic balance of free radicals, and important downstream effectors like ET-1 and matrixmetalloproteinase-9. Our data show that atorvastatin and ET-1 receptor antagonist co-administration may decrease lipid levels, stabilize plaques and relieve vascular inflammation. By reducing the plaque burden, this regimen may minimize the risk of atherosclerotic plaque rupture or arterial occlusion.

The application and research of artificial neural network in foundation deformation prediction, over the past decades and at home and abroad, are reviewed. Based on the two main aspects of foundation pit deformation, which are horizontal displacement of supporting structure and surface settlement around foundation, the evolution and corresponding research results of neural network prediction are reviewed and summarized when the input vector of neural network changes from historical deformation to multi-source data then to combination of them. On the basis of a thorough analysis and discussion, this paper points out the further research direction and development prospects.

ASP (alkali-surfactant-polymer) flooding improves recovery rate dramatically. However, scaling problem happens in artificial lift systems and causes pump sticking in sucker rod pumps and the average pump running time decrease from 500 days to 37 days. By analyzing the constituents and characteristics of scales from ASP production wells and experimenting with simulating produced liquid, characteristics and mechanism of silicon containing scale forming are researched. The results show that Ca2+, Mg2+, Al3+, polyacrylamide, surfactant and silicon influence the ASP scales structures and forming processes. The ASP scales have the characteristics of absorbing and sticking. Basing on describing of scaling characteristics, mechanisms and the pump structures, the reasons for pump sticking are analyzed. Pump sticking which caused by scaling between the plunger and barrel occurs when the sucker rod pump is sucking, hot water is circulating or the pump is stopping. When the well is shut down, one major reason of pump sticking is scale particles set down, stick and pack in the anti-sand groove. When a great deal of hot water is circulating in the well bore, liquid viscosity lowers and scale particles set down speed increases also. The slow-dissolved solid scale-inhibitor SY-2 and anti-scale pump with long plunger-short barrel are developed and applied in field. Through these methods applications, the pump running time have been prolonged and good results have been achieved.

Function discovery is an important research direction in data mining and economic statistical target forecast. Gene expression programming (GEP) is a new tool to discovery the function in economic target analysis field. To overcome the deficiency such as pre-maturity and biggish stagnancy generation in GEP, this study (1) Introduces a dynamic mutation operator ( DM-GEP ) and flexibility controlling of population scale (FC-GEP) for more faster jumping local optimum trap and shortening average convergence generation in evolution, (2) Proposes a genome diversity-guided of grading evolution strategy for stakeout and melioration of GEP evolution process, (3) implements a multi-genome child-population parallel genetic strategy and a PED- GEP algorithm for increasing average maximal fitness and success ratio, and (4) demonstrates the effectiveness and efficiency of the new algorithm by extensive experiments, Comparising with transitional GEP, the average convergence generation is decrease to 35 % at least, and average maximal fitness increases 8 %leastways.
