In this paper, a novel ternary eutectic salt Na2CO3-Li2CO3-LiF was designed and investigated for concentrated solar power (CSP). The FactSage software was used to predict the composition and eutectic point of Na2CO3-Li2CO3-LiF. The microstructure, thermophysical properties, and thermal stability of eutectic salts were experimentally measured using various analytical methods. With a mass ratio of 57%:32%:11%, the eutectic salt exhibited excellent thermal storage properties with a fusion enthalpy of 413 J/g and a melting point of 426.8°C. The polycarbonate (PC)/polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) (10/90) blends with microcellular foams were prepared by the two-step process using supercritical carbon dioxide as physical foaming agent. The effects of saturation temperature, saturation pressure, foaming temperature, and foaming time on the cell morphology structure were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The results indicated that the mean diameter of cells in foamed PC/PMMA films decreased with the increment of saturation temperature and saturation pressure but increased with the increment of the foaming time. Moreover, the mean diameter of cells decreased first, but then increased with the increment of the foaming temperature. The cell density (Nc) increased with the increment of saturation temperature and saturation pressure but decreased with the increment of the foaming time. Novel g-C 3 N 4 /CeO 2 nanocomposites were synthesized through a simple mixing-calcination method. The structure, morphology and composition of g-C 3 N 4 /CeO 2 nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), as well as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results indicated that CeO 2 nanoparticles with a diameter of 50–100 nm were uniformly loaded on the surface of g-C 3 N 4. Furthermore, the catalytic effect of our prepared novel g-C 3 N 4 /CeO 2 nanocomposites on the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) was investigated by utilizing thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses (TG-DTA). Compared with pure g-C 3 N 4 and CeO 2 , the g-C 3 N 4 /CeO 2 nanocomposites were proved to catalyze the thermal decomposition of AP more effectively. Upon addition of g-C 3 N 4 /CeO 2 nanocomposites, the high weight-loss decomposition temperature of AP was decreased by up to 74.6 °C, which is quite more than that upon the addition of pure g-C 3 N 4 and CeO 2 . The proposed mechanism demonstrated that this situation was presumably attributed to a synergistic effect between g-C 3 N 4 and CeO 2 . [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
