Abstract

The existing research on the two-workshop integrated scheduling problem with symmetrical resources does not consider the complex product attribute structure and the objective situation of plant equipment resources. This results in the prolongation of the product makespan and the reduction of the utilization rate of the general equipment in the workshop. To solve the above problems, a two-workshop integrated scheduling algorithm based on process tree cyclic decomposition (STHIS-PTCD) was proposed. First, a workshop scheduling scheme based on the sub-tree cyclic decomposition strategy was proposed to improve the closeness of continuous processing further. Second, an operation allocation scheme based on the principle of workshop processing balance was presented. On the basis of ensuring the advantages of parallel processing, it also effectively reduces the idle time of equipment resources and then optimizes the overall effect of the integrated scheduling of both workshops. Through the comparison and analysis of all the existing resource-symmetric two-workshop integrated scheduling algorithms, the scheduling effect of the proposed algorithm is the best. 26. Measurement and Correlation of Phase Equilibria in Aqueous Two-Phase Systems Containing Polyoxyethylene Cetyl Ether and Three Organic Salts at Different Temperatures

Abstract

The polymer polyoxyethylene(20) cetyl ether (C56H114O21, POELE20) and three salts (K2C2O4, K2C4H4O6, and K3C6H5O7) were the phase-forming materials to build the aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) at the temperatures 288.15, 298.15, and 308.15 K. The data of the phase diagram including binodal curve data and tie-line data were determined and fitted by classical equations, and they obtained the satisfactory correlation effect. The phase-forming ability of salt composed of the same cation was investigated by three factors, namely, the valence of the anion, the Gibbs free energy of the anion, and the value of effective excluded volume (EEV). It was found that the phase-forming ability of salt strengthened when the values of said three factors went up. The results of the analysis on the data from the present work and that in our previous paper showed that the order of the phase-forming ability of salts was KOH < K2C2O4< K2C4H4O6< K2CO3< K3C6H5O7< K3PO4. The effect of temperature on phase-forming of the studied ATPSs was discussed through the phase diagram and EEV value, and it was showed that the increase in temperature is beneficial to separating two phases for ATPSs. For the investigated systems, the effect of temperature on the liquid–liquid equilibrium of ATPSs was studied by the phase diagram and the slope of the tie-line (STL), and it was found that the absolute value of the STL increased with rising temperature.

30. Grafting of MIPs from PVDF Membranes viaReversible Addition-fragmentation Chain Transfer Polymerization for Selective Removal of p-Hydroxybenzoic Acid

Abstract

Effective molecularly imprinted membranes(MIMs) were developed as an efficient adsorbent for the selective removal of p-hydroxybenzoic acid(p-HB) from acetylsalicylic acid(ASA, aspirin). The MIMs were grafted successfully from poly(vinylidene fluoride) microfiltration membranes viareversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT) polymerization. The graft copolymerization of acrylic acid(AA) in the presence of template p-hydroxybenzoic acid led to molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) film coated membranes. The obtained MIMs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer(FTIR) and Raman spectra, and batch mode adsorption studies were carried out to investigate the specific adsorption equilibrium, kinetics and selective recognition properties of different MIMs. The kinetic properties of the MIMs could be well described by the pseudo-second-order rate equation. Selective permeation experiments were performed to evaluate the permeation selectivity of the p-HB imprinted membranes. The observed performances of the MIMs are applicable to the further purification of aspirin.

Abstract

Poly(styrene-divinyl benzene) (St-DVB) magnetic porous microspheres were prepared by sulfonation for the adsorption of 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP) and 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (2,4,6-TCP) from aqueous solution. The as-prepared microspheres were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TGA, VSM, and N2adsorption–desorption techniques, showing that the as-prepared microspheres were porous and had good magnetism (Ms = 40 emu g−1). The adsorption performance of St-DVB magnetic porous microspheres were investigated by batch mode adsorption experiments with respect to pH, temperature, initial concentration, and contact time. The St-DVB magnetic porous microspheres were sensitive to pH. The equilibrium data was better fitted to the Langmuir isotherm model than the Freundlich model. The kinetics experimental data was well fitted to the pseudo-second-order model. The thermodynamic parameters were calculated by the Gibbs free energy function, revealing that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic.
