China’s economic development has made world-renowned achievements which have subsequently brought serious environmental pollution problems. As a large manufacturing country, the industrial value added in China accounts for nearly 30% of the global share. However, the manufacturing industry lacks competence. Therefore, considering environmental protection issues while promoting manufacturing industry upgrading (MIU) is a critical goal for China at present. By applying panel data from China’s Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) from 2010 to 2019, this paper uses a spatial econometric model to study the effect of green finance (GF) on upgrading (hereafter, upgrading refers to the improvement of the manufacturing structure and the transition toward green manufacturing) the manufacturing industry. This study found that the impact of GF on MIU in the YREB is significantly positive. GF has a good positive spatial spillover effect. Moreover, the high level of urbanization and high freight volume have positive impacts, the impacts of foreign investment and government fiscal expenditure are significantly negative, and the effect of the level of human capital on upgrading is not obvious. Therefore, vigorously developing green finance, optimizing the environment for manufacturing upgrades, and cultivating green and high-quality talents should be the future direction of government policy formulation.

Nutritional support is an indispensable treatment for critically ill patients. Enteral nutrition intolerance is one of the obstacles to the smooth progress of enteral nutrition. Enteral nutrition can be divided into continuous feeding and intermittent feeding. However, the effectiveness and safety of the two ways of nutrition infusion are controversial clinically. Therefore, this meta-analysis further evaluated the effect of intermittent feeding versus continuous feeding on enteral nutrition tolerance in critically ill patients.

The transient receptor potential vanilloid subtype 1 (TRPV1), belonging to the TRPV channel family, is a non-selective, calcium-dependent, cation channel implicated in several pathophysiological processes. Collagen, an extracellular matrix component, can accumulate under pathological conditions and may lead to the destruction of tissue structure, organ dysfunction, and organ failure. Increasing evidence indicates that TRPV1 plays a role in the development and occurrence of fibrotic diseases, including myocardial, renal, pancreatic, and corneal fibrosis. However, the mechanism by which TRPV1 regulates fibrosis remains unclear. This review highlights the comprehensive role played by TRPV1 in regulating pro-fibrotic processes, the potential of TRPV1 as a therapeutic target in fibrotic diseases, as well as the different signaling pathways associated with TRPV1 and fibrosis.

Linum usitatissimum is a candidate as a remedy to treat prostate problems in some folklore medicines. In this study, we have reported the phenolic and flavonoid constituents, antioxidant activity, and potential of the plant extract against prostate cancer cells. The phenolic and flavonoid compound profile of the extract were established using HPLC analysis. While the total phenolic and flavonoid content (TPC and TFC) were analyzed using classic methods. The antioxidant activity of the extract was also evaluated. MTT assay and flow cytometry technique was used to evaluate antiproliferation activity and induction apoptosis of the plant extract on prostate cancer cells of LNCaP. We also evaluated the gene expression of Bax and caspase-3 using the real-time qPCR assay. HPLC result revealed that L. usitatissimum extract (LUE) was rich in phenolic acids such as gallic, ferulic, and vanillic acid with the amount of 3.56, 2.12, 1.24 μg/g extract respectively. 383.4 mg GAE/g and 47.1 mgRuE/g were calculated for total phenolic and flavonoid content. LUE exhibited radical scavenging activity with IC50 = 19.3 ± 1.1 µg/mL. LUE chelated ferrous ions with IC50 = 121.1 ± 1.3 µg/mL. LUE showed anti-proliferative activity on LNCaP cells with the IC50 values of 8.3, 6.3, and 5.4 μg/mL after 24, 48, and 72 h treatment. LUE also increased cell mortality by inducing apoptosis (15.3–29.8%). The real-time qPCR results exhibited an increase in gene expression of Bax and caspase-3. Our in vitro study demonstrates that L. usitatissimum can be considered as an effective agent to inhibit the growth and invasion the human prostate cancer cells.

Methods: Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, EMbase, China Biology Medicine disc (CBM), China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), China Journal full-text Database (CNKI), and Wanfang Database were searched for all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the effects of intermittent and continuous feeding on enteral nutrition tolerance in critically ill patients. The quality of literatures was strictly evaluated and the data were extracted by 2 investigators. Meta-analysis was carried out by applying RevMan 5.5 software. Results: The results of this meta-analysis are published in peer-reviewed journals. Conclusions: This study provides reliable evidence-based support for the effects of intermittent and continuous feeding on enteral nutrition tolerance in critically ill patients.
