A 70-day feeding experiment was carried out to assess the replacement of dietary fishmeal (FM) protein with degossypolized cottonseed protein (DCP) on large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) with initial body weight (13.09 ± 0.50 g). Five isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets replaced fishmeal protein with 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% DCP were formulated and named as FM (the control group), DCP20, DCP40, DCP60, and DCP80, respectively. Results displayed that weight gain rate (WGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) in the DCP20 group (263.91% and 1.85% d-1) were significantly increased compared with the control group (194.79% and 1.54% d-1) (P < 0.05). Furthermore, fish fed the diet with 20% DCP significantly increased the activity of hepatic superoxide dismutase (SOD) compared with the control group (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, the content of hepatic malondialdehyde (MDA) in the DCP20, DCP40, and DCP80 groups was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The activity of intestinal trypsin in the DCP20 group was significantly degraded compared with that in the control group (P < 0.05). The transcription of hepatic proinflammatory cytokine genes (interleukin-6 (il-6); tumor necrosis factor-α (tnf-α); and interferon-γ (ifn-γ)) in the DCP20 and DCP40 groups was significantly upregulated compared with that in the control group (P < 0.05). As to the target of rapamycin (TOR) pathway, the transcription of hepatic target of rapamycin (tor) and ribosomal protein (s6) was significantly up-regulated, while the transcription of hepatic eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E binding protein 1 (4e-bp1) gene was significantly downregulated in the DCP group compared with the control group (P < 0.05). In summary, based on the broken line regression model analysis of WGR and SGR against dietary DCP replacement levels, the optimal replacement level was recommended to be 8.12% and 9.37% for large yellow croaker, respectively. These results revealed that FM protein replaced with 20% DCP could promote digestive enzyme activities and antioxidant capacity and further activate immune response and the TOR pathway so that growth performance of juvenile large yellow croaker was improved. Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the anti-tumor effect of resveratrol (RSV) on glioblastoma (GBM) and its specific mechanism in improving the inflammatory response of the tumor microenvironment. The tumor microenvironment of GBM is highly neuroinflammatory, inducing tumor immunosuppression. Therefore, ameliorating the inflammatory response is an important focus for anti-tumor research. Methods: The anti-tumor effect of RSV on GBM was demonstrated through in vitro cellular assays, including CCK-8, EdU, PI staining, Transwell, wound healing assay, and flow cytometry. Potential mechanisms of RSV's anti-GBM effects were identified through network pharmacological analysis. In addition, the relationship of RSV with the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway and the inflammasome NLRP3 was verified using Western blot. Results: RSV significantly inhibited cell viability in GBM cell lines LN-229 and U87-MG. Furthermore, it inhibited the proliferation and invasive migration ability of GBM cells, while promoting apoptosis. Network pharmacological analysis revealed a close association between the anti-GBM effects of RSV and the JAK/STAT signaling pathway, as well as inflammatory responses. Western blot analysis confirmed that RSV inhibited the over-activation of the inflammasome NLRP3 through the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. Partial reversal of RSV's inhibition of inflammasome NLRP3 was observed with the addition of the JAK/STAT agonist RO8191. Conclusions: In vitro, RSV can exert anti-tumor effects on GBM and improve the inflammatory response in the GBM microenvironment by inhibiting the activation of the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. Glycerol monolaurate (GML) is a potential candidate for regulating metabolic syndrome and inflammatory response. However, the role of GML in modulating intestinal health in fish has not been well determined. In this study, a 70-d feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of GML on intestinal barrier, antioxidant capacity, inflammatory response and microbiota community of large yellow croaker (13.05 ± 0.09 g) fed with high level soybean oil (SO) diets. Two basic diets with fish oil (FO) or SO were formulated. Based on the SO group diet, three different levels of GML 0.02% (SO0.02), 0.04% (SO0.04) and 0.08% (SO0.08) were supplemented respectively. Results showed that intestinal villus height and perimeter ratio were increased in SO0.04 treatment compared with the SO group. The mRNA expressions of intestinal physical barrier-related gene odc and claudin-11 were significantly up-regulated in different addition of GML treatments compared with the SO group. Fish fed SO diet with 0.04% GML addition showed higher activities of acid phosphatase and lysozyme compared with the SO group. The content of malonaldehyde was significantly decreased and activities of catalase and superoxide dismutase were significantly increased in 0.02% and 0.04% GML groups compared with those in the SO group. The mRNA transcriptional levels of inflammatory response-related genes (il-1β , il-6 , tnf-α and cox-2) in 0.04% GML treatment were notably lower than those in the SO group. Meanwhile, sequencing analysis of bacterial 16S rRNA V4–V5 region showed that GML addition changed gut microbiota structure and increased alpha diversity of large yellow croaker fed diets with a high level of SO. The correlation analysis results indicated that the change of intestinal microbiota relative abundance strongly correlated with intestinal health indexes. As the grid impedance increases, the grid strength gradually becomes weak. In order to have good output characteristics in weak grid, grid-forming (GFM) inverters with LCL filter have gradually become popular. This paper studies grid-current-sensorless control which does not require grid current sensors. Firstly, the grid-current-sensorless control loops are given. Then, in order to make up for the inability to sample the actual grid current, a grid current estimator, which is derivative operator free and low-complexity, is proposed. And the robustness and accuracy of the estimator is verified by simulation. Afterwards, to demonstrate that this control operates stably when the grid strength changes, a joint small-signal stability analysis combining the control strategy and circuit topology is presented. The theoretical feasibility of the control is proved. Finally, to verify the robustness of the control under different grid strengths, the experiments are carried out on a 20kW GFM inverter. The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of supplemental glycerol monolaurate (GML) on growth performance, hepatic lipid metabolism, antioxidant capacity and mitochondrial function in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) fed diets with high soybean oil (SBO) level. The trial diet with 7% fish oil (FO) was designed as the negative control while the diet with 7% SBO was designed as the positive control. The other three diets were formulated with the administration of 400, 800 and 1600 mg/kg GML (0.04%, 0.08% and 0.16%) on basis of the positive control diet. Results showed that the specific growth rate (SGR) was increased and the feed conversion ratio (FCR) was decreased significantly in fish fed diets with GML supplementation compared with the positive control diet, while no difference was observed in the survival rate (SR) among dietary treatments. Fish fed the diet with 0.04% GML supplementation had significantly lower triglycerides and total cholesterol contents compared with those in the positive control group. The mRNA expression of lipogenesis-related genes (srebp1c and acc) were down-regulated while the mRNA expression of lipolysis and fatty acid β-oxidation-related genes (atgl , pparα and cpt1) were up-regulated in fish fed diets with 0.04% and 0.08% GML. Compared with the positive control diet, fish fed diets with 0.04% and 0.08% GML supplementation exhibited remarkably higher activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase and the content of glutathione, as well as lower malondialdehyde level. Furthermore, in fish fed diets with 0.04% and 0.08% GML, the morphology of mitochondria was improved and their number was increased. The mRNA expression of genes related to mitochondrial biogenesis (pgc1-α, tfam and nrf1) were significantly increased in fish fed with 0.04% and 0.08% GML supplementation. Meanwhile, the content of triphosadenine (ATP), the activity of citrate synthase (CS) and succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) in liver were increased significantly in 0.04% and 0.08% treatments compared with the positive control group. Intelligent additive manufacturing is the direction of development, and changing parameters during the manufacturing process is an effective measure to adjust the quality of the part. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the stability of single-track and multilayer fabricated Ti-6Al-4 V designed and fabricated by laser powder bed fusion with high degrees of freedom. The effects of single-track, relative density, surface quality, and microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated by designing a process strategy based on the interval powder layer thickness and regulating the process parameters. The survey shows that the point distance of less than 35 μm, the exposure time of longer than 120 μs, and the hatch spacing of greater than 70 μm can ensure the relative density of specimens with high layer thickness. The microstructure consists mainly of acicular martensite αʹ filled in columnar β grains, and acicular martensite αʹ grains are relatively sparse. The tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of the specimens were 1109 MPa, 1053 MPa, and 5.6%, respectively. The fracture is a combination of ductile fracture and brittle fracture. The building rate was 9 mm3/s, which is higher than the results obtained in previous studies. The survey can provide theoretical support for researchers and data support for engineers. The aim of the present study was to investigate effects of supplemental phytosterol (PS) on growth performance, body composition, serum biochemical indexes, and lipid metabolism of juvenile large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) fed with high lipid diet. The diet with high lipid content (lipid level at 18%) was used as the control diet, and other three diets were formulated with supplementation of 0.5%, 1.0%, and 1.5% PS, respectively, on basis of the control diet. Each diet was randomly fed to triplicate cages for 10 weeks. Results showed that the survival rate, final body weight, specific growth rate, and feed conversion ratio were not significantly different among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). Oil red O staining analysis showed that the diet with PS significantly reduced the number and volume of lipid droplets in liver compared with the control diet (P < 0.05). The liver and serum lipid levels were also significantly lower in diets with 0.5% and 1.0% PS than those in the control diet (P < 0.05). Fish fed diets with 0.5% and 1.0% PS showed significantly higher activities of catalase and superoxide dismutase, and lower malondialdehyde content in the liver than those in the control diet (P < 0.05). In the intestine, genes expression of lipid absorption (srbi and npc1l1) and esterification (acat , mtp , and apob100) in fish fed with 0.5% PS were significantly lower than those in the control diet whereas genes expression of cholesterol reverses transport (abca1 , abcg5 , and abcg8) in diets with PS were significantly higher than those in the control diet (P < 0.05). In the liver, compared with the control diet, supplemented with 0.5% PS significantly downregulated genes expression of lipid synthesis (srebp1 , acc , fas , scd1 , dgat2 , srebp2 , hmgcr , and dhcr7) whereas genes expression of lipid catabolism (pparα , aco , cpt1 , atgl , and cyp7a1) and cholesterol reverse transport (abcg5 and abcg8) were significantly upregulated (P < 0.05). By studying the edge-workpiece engagement (EWE), and taking two inclination (lead and tilt) angles into account, the time-varying cutting areas and boundaries are determined, the instantaneous numerical chip thickness (NCT) within different EWEs at each point of the edge curve during the milling process of the ball end milling tool is solved, and the milling force and stability are calculated. The milling force and SLD of the model in this paper (NCT-EWE model) and the model in the literature (Altintas and Otzurk model) are compared. It is verified that the algorithm adopted in this paper has higher accuracy, and the algorithm is simple and fast. In addition, it is found that increasing the lead and tilt angles can reduce the milling force and improve the stability, and the free vibration in the stable region decreases gradually, while in the non-stable region, it increases. A molecular spring isolator comprising ZIF-8 with hydrophobic micropores, water, and a cylinder/piston unit is introduced. Liquid water can be intruded into the micropores of ZIF-8 under critical pressure. In the meantime, mechanical energy is stored. And once the external pressure is withdrawn, spontaneous capillary evaporation will occur. The stored energy, meanwhile, is released. This behavior is similar to a coil spring. The Laplace–Washburn equation is used to describe the force equilibrium of a single water column in a micropore. After that, the result of water infiltrating a great deal of hydrophobic pores is revealed by theoretical analysis and an experiment. An averaging method is devoted to computing the primary resonance response and its accuracy is proved by the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method. Furthermore, the energy transmissibility is used to estimate its vibration isolation capability. The research on the control mechanism of a covering layer on self-noise of the interior hull field remains underdeveloped. Because the detection function of sonar is greatly affected by the self-noise of the platform area, the sonar dome of composite material exhibits significant self-noise suppression while ensuring sufficient sound penetration. Based on an infinite flat model of a point-force excitation combined with a simplified two-degree-of-freedom system coupled with shell and flexible composite covering layer, the structure of the shell plate with or without a covering layer is analysed, and the expressions for the insertion loss and the degree of isolation of the covering layer in response to the shell vibration are deduced according to mechanical properties. In addition, this paper presents an influence law of a covering layer on the shell system vibration response under different stiffness, mass and damping parameters when the load is on a shell plate or covering layer. The most important contributions of this paper are the interior noise and vibration performance tests of a typical local carbon/glass hybrid reinforced sheet-beam structure with or without an overlying rubber blanket, where the layered material is on the interior of the structure. The experiment was implemented in air. The test model, filled with water, was hung by a flexible rubber band. A 70-day feeding trial was conducted to determine the effects of the replacement of fishmeal (FM) by soybean meal (SM) in diets on growth performance, digestion, hepatic metabolism, antioxidant capacity, and innate immunity of juvenile large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea). Four iso-lipidic and iso-nitrogenous diets replacing 0, 15, 30, and 45 FM protein by SM protein were formulated, named FM, SM15, SM30, and SM45, respectively. Results indicated that the specific growth rate (FM = 1.55, SM15 = 1.50, SM30 = 1.48, and SM45 = 1.34%) of fish showed a significant linear trend (P < 0.05). With increasing dietary SM, the activity of trypsin (262.02, 179.34, 144.41, and 123.92 U/mg·prot) significantly decreased (linear trend, P < 0.05). The content of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol showed a significant linear trend and quadratic trend, and the maximum was observed in fish fed the diet with 45% protein from SM (P < 0.05). The mRNA expression of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (m-tor) and ribosomal protein S6 (rps6) showed a significant linear trend (P < 0.05). The content of malondialdehyde (81.82, 92.91, 79.64, and 126.45 nmol/mg·prot) showed a significant linear trend and quadratic trend; the minimum was observed in fish fed the diet with 30% protein from SM (P < 0.05). The activity of acid phosphatase (328.45, 300.08, 254.03, and 223.51 U/mg·prot) significantly decreased with increasing dietary SM substitution levels (linear trend, P < 0.05). A significant quadratic trend was observed in the mRNA expression of interferon-γ and interleukin-1β, while the maximum was observed in fish fed the diet with 45% protein from SM (P < 0.05). In conclusion, this study demonstrated that the replacement of FM by SM in diets can decrease the growth performance, digestion, antioxidant capacity, and innate immunity and affect the hepatic metabolism of juvenile large yellow croaker. Aims: Overconsumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) is associated with an increased risk of metabolic disorders, including obesity and diabetes. However, accumulating evidence also suggests the potential negative impact of consuming nonnutritive sweeteners (NNSs) on weight and glycaemic control. The metabolic effects of sucralose, the most widely used NNS, remain controversial. This study aimed to compare the impact of intake of dietary sucralose (acceptable daily intake dose, ADI dose) and sucrose-sweetened water (at the same sweetness level) on lipid and glucose metabolism in male mice. Materials and methods: Sucralose (0.1 mg/mL) or sucrose (60 mg/mL) was added to the drinking water of 8-week-old male C57BL/6 mice for 16 weeks, followed by oral glucose and intraperitoneal insulin tolerance tests, and measurements of bone mineral density, plasma lipids, and hormones. After the mice were sacrificed, the duodenum and ileum were used for examination of sweet taste receptors (STRs) and glucose transporters. Results: A significant increase in fat mass was observed in the sucrose group of mice after 16 weeks of sweetened water drinking. Sucrose consumption also led to increased levels of plasma LDL, insulin, lipid deposition in the liver, and increased glucose intolerance in mice. Compared with the sucrose group, mice consuming sucralose showed much lower fat accumulation, hyperlipidaemia, liver steatosis, and glucose intolerance. In addition, the daily dose of sucralose only had a moderate effect on T1R2/3 in the intestine, without affecting glucose transporters and plasma insulin levels. A 70-day feeding trial was conducted to investigate effects of dietary lysolecithin on growth performance, serum biochemical indexes, antioxidant capacity, lipid metabolism and inflammation-related genes expression of juvenile large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) with initial weight of 6.04 ± 0.08 g. A formulated diet containing approximately 42% crude protein and 12.5% crude lipid was used as the control diet (CON). The other three experimental diets were formulated with supplementation of 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6% lysolecithin based on the control diet, respectively. Results showed that weight gain rate (WGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) significantly increased in fish fed diets with lysolecithin compared with those in the control diet (P < 0.05). Fish fed diets with 0.4% and 0.6% lysolecithin had notably higher lipid content in muscle than that in the control diet (P < 0.05). When fish were fed diets with lysolecithin, serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) content was notably higher than that in the control diet (P < 0.05), while fish fed the diet with 0.6% lysolecithin had a significant lower serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) content than that in the control diet (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, serum aspartate transaminase (AST) and alanine transaminase (ALT) activities in fish fed diets with lysolecithin were remarkably lower than those in the control diet (P < 0.05). With the increase of dietary lysolecithin from 0.2% to 0.6%, mRNA expression of stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase 1 (scd1), diacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 (dgat2) and sterol-regulatory element binding protein 1 (srebp1) showed decreasing trends. Furthermore, mRNA expression of carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 (cpt1) and lipoprotein lipase (lpl) among each dietary lysolecithin treatment were significantly higher than those in the control diet (P < 0.05). In terms of inflammation, mRNA expression of tumor necrosis factor α (tnf-α) and interleukin-1 β (il-1β) were significantly down-regulated in fish fed diets with lysolecithin compared with those in the control diet (P < 0.05), while the mRNA expression of interleukin-10 (il-10) was significantly higher than that in the control diet (P < 0.05). Silt is a common waste soil that is often treated by solidification with ordinary Portland cement (OPC). Geopolymer is a cementitious material formed by the polycondensation reaction of fly ash and other industrial waste materials in a non-high-temperature environment under alkali excitation. This study used fly ash-based geopolymer to partially replace OPC in silt solidification to reduce the use of OPC. The investigated replacement ratios of geopolymer for OPC were selected as 0% (control group), 5%, 10%, and 15%, and the water contents were selected as 28%, 30% (liquid limit of 29.6%), 32%, and 34%, respectively. To investigate the influence of curing time (7, 14, 28, and 60 d) on the mechanical properties of solidified silt, unconfined compressive strength tests and stress-strain curve study were conducted. To better understand how geopolymer and cement behave during the solidification of silt, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and mercury intrusion porosimetry were used to evaluate the morphology, elemental composition, mineral composition, and pore distribution of the solidified soils. The experimental results show that the silt solidified with geopolymer-cement had good performance. Under the same water content, as the proportion of cement replaced by geopolymer increased, the compressive strength of the solidified soil first increased and then decreased. When the silt had a water content of 30% and a curing period of 28 d, the strength of the solidified soil increased significantly (approximately 13.17%-51.42%). Microstructural analysis showed that more cementitious materials were produced in the soil solidified with geopolymer-cement. Glucose is a fundamental substance for numerous cancers, including glioma. However, its influence on tumor cells regulatory mechanisms remains uncertain. SIRT1 is a regulator of deacetylation and a key player in the progression of malignant tumors. The objective of this study was to examine the role of glucose and SIRT1 in glioma. This study investigated the association of SIRT1 expression with clinicopathological features and prognosis in glioma patients using the TCGA database. The Western blotting technique was used to identify the expression of SIRT1 protein in glioma cells. The study also examined the impact of differing glucose concentrations on the biological functions of glioma cells. The study investigated the expression of SIRT1 and HMGB1 signaling pathways in glioma. Additionally, resilience experiments were conducted utilizing SRT1720. SIRT1 is a gene that suppresses tumors and is low expressed in gliomas. Low expression of this gene is strongly linked to a poor prognosis in patients with glioma. High concentrations of glucose can promote the proliferation, migration, and invasion of glioma cells, while also inhibiting apoptosis. The findings of this mechanistic study provide evidence that glucose can down-regulate SIRT1 expression, leading to increased levels of acetylated HMGB1. This in turn promotes the ex-nuclear activation of HMGB1 and associated signaling pathways, ultimately driving glioma malignancy. Glucose has the ability to regulate the HMGB1 associated signaling pathway through SIRT1, thus promoting glioma progression. Accurate prediction of the average thermal extraction load (ATEL) in hydrothermal heating systems optimizes energy recovery, though numerical models are constrained by modeling accuracy and computational time costs. Data-driven modeling can efficiently screen alternative production plans and enhance daily operational decisions. However, ensemble learning applications for forecasting ATEL lack comprehensive comparisons and appropriate algorithm selection. This study evaluates six ensemble learning algorithms: random forest (RF), adaptive boosting (AdaBoost), gradient boosting decision trees (GBDT), extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), light gradient boosting machine (LightBGM) and categorical boosting (CatBoost) on 1159 data points from a homogeneous thermal-hydraulic coupling numerical model. The superior performance of the CatBoost is characterized by the highest accuracy (with the lowest root mean square error (RMSE) of 150.6 kW–170.7 kW, minimal mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 0.66%–0.73%, and exceptional R2 values of 0.999), commendable stability, reasonable computational cost and low uncertainty. LightGBM, XGBoost, and GBDT are identified as suitable substitutes, whereas RF is a possible substitute. Moreover, the production rate is identified as the most significant factor contributing to the ATEL, followed by the well spacing and injection temperature. The paper explains a concept of a vehicle molecular spring suspension whose stiffness in middle stage can be as low as 13 N/mm. The design of this suspension spring on the basis of a hydrophobic nanoporous material is introduced. The test methods of determining the static and dynamic mechanical properties of the novel suspension spring are described. The rationality of experimental design and the accuracy of theoretical analysis is proved by the negligible error between experimental results and theoretical analysis. The microscopic molecular motion behavior between graphene and the liquid lubricant oil affects the rheological and frictional behavior of the nano-lubricant. However, the effect of graphene on the rheological behavior of industrial #3 lubricant oil has not been revealed. Thus, molecular dynamics (MD) and experimental study are used to investigate the effect of graphene concentration, size, temperature, and shear rate on the viscosity, mean square displacement (MSD), and density of graphene lubricant oil are investigated. The results show that the viscosity of GLO increases with the increase of graphene concentration and decreases with the increase of temperature (293 K–330 K). The MSD of graphene lubricant oil decreases with the increase of graphene size and increases with the increase of temperature. It is worth noting that graphene lubricant oil with 3G has the maximum value of MSD, which means the graphene has the best diffusion performance at this concentration. Compared to the base oil, the simulation and experiment viscosity values of the GOL with 3G increased by 22.9 % and 47.6 %, respectively. The GOL has the characteristics of a Newtonian fluid. This study can provide a reference for the application of graphene lubricant oil in industry. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is the main carrier of cholesterol transport in plasma, which participates in regulating lipid homeostasis. Studies in mammals have shown that high levels of LDL in plasma absorbed by macrophages trigger the formation of lipid-rich foam cells, leading to the development of atherosclerotic plaques. Although lipid-rich atherosclerosis-like lesions have been discovered in the aorta of several fish species, the physiological function of LDL in fish macrophages remains poorly understood. In the present study, LDL was isolated from the plasma of large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea), and mass spectrometry analysis identified two truncated forms of apolipoprotein B100 in the LDL protein profile. Transcriptomic analysis of LDL-stimulated macrophages revealed that differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were enriched in various pathways related to lipid metabolism, as confirmed by the fact that LDL increased total cholesterol and cholesteryl esters content. Meanwhile, the gene and protein expression levels of perilipin2 (PLIN2), a DEG enriched in the PPAR signaling pathway, were upregulated in response to LDL stimulation. Importantly, knocking down plin2 significantly attenuates LDL-induced cholesterol accumulation and promotes cholesterol efflux. Furthermore, the transcription factor PPARγ, which is upregulated in response to LDL stimulation, can enhance the promoter activity of plin2. In conclusion, this study suggests that LDL may upregulate plin2 expression through PPARγ, resulting in cholesterol accumulation in fish macrophages. This study will facilitate the investigation of the function of LDL in regulating lipid homeostasis in macrophages and shed light on the evolutionary origin of LDL metabolism in vertebrates. The study of molten pool characteristics is a powerful means of determining the quality of laser additive manufacturing forming. In this paper, a three-dimensional transient thermal flow field numerical model of Ti6Al4V powder processed by LPBF is developed based on FLOW-3D software, and the dynamic evolution of the molten pool with fixed process parameters is quantitatively described using dimensionless numbers in computational fluid dynamics. It is shown that the main heat transfer mode of the molten pool is thermal convection; the evaporative back sitting pressure, surface tension and Marangoni shear force are the main driving forces for the evolution of the molten pool. Furthermore, the influence of key process parameters on the heat flow field of the molten pool was analyzed. When the laser power was 300 W, the depression depth and molten pool depth caused by the recoil pressure were significantly larger, and the isothermal density of the solidification region was more intensive; when the scanning speed was increased from 0.4 m/s to 0.8 m/s, the molten pool length was reduced from 524 μm to 410 μm, and the line energy density was reduced making the amount of melted powder decrease. The wettability and fluidity of the molten state metal becomes worse; when the scanning interval increases to 120 μm, a large number of incompletely melted powder tracks cannot lap correctly at the midline of the double track. The results of the above simulations achieve a high degree of agreement with the surface quality of the specimens during the experiments, which provides guidance for quantitative analysis of molten pool evolution and prediction of Ti6Al4V forming quality. • Based on the Discrete Element Method, a Ti6Al4V powder-scale LPBF thermal flow field model was established. • The influence of key process parameters on surface forming quality was studied. • The experiment and simulation agree well, providing guidance for optimizing the forming of Ti6Al4V. In this paper, a systematic approach on how to predict kinematic errors based on tolerance of machine tools’ guideways is introduced. Firstly, the truncated Fourier series function is applied to fit curve of guideways surface. Since geometric profile errors are regarded as a bridge between tolerance and kinematic errors of machine tools’ guideways, the mapping relationship between tolerance and geometric profile errors of machine tools’ guideways is formulated, and the mapping relationship between geometric profile errors and kinematic errors of guideways is established. Then, kinematic errors prediction model based on tolerance of guideways is subsequently proposed. Finally, simulation verification is conducted with this method. Simulation results show the range of the predicted kinematic errors (positioning error, y direction and z direction straightness error, roll error, pitch error, and yaw error) is 17.12 μm, 56.57 μm, 70.71 μm, 28.28 μrad, 141.42 μrad, and 113.14 μrad, respectively. In order to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the presented method, a measuring experiment is carried out on guideways of a gantry-type five-axis milling machine tools by using a dual-frequency laser interferometer. The measured and identified discrete data can be fitted precisely by Fourier curve fitting method. The fitting results show the range of the measured kinematic errors is 16.96 μm, 59.43 μm, 68.63 μm, 28.65 μrad, 135.40 μrad, and 111.58 μrad, respectively. The maximum residual errors between the predicted and measured values of kinematic errors are 1.67 μm, 5.19 μm, 5.50 μm, 1.87 μrad, 9.81 μrad, and 7.07μrad, respectively. Comparing with the measured results of kinematic errors, residual errors are considerably small and can be neglected. Therefore, there is no doubt that this method is effective enough for predicting kinematic errors and can be used to replace the measurement of kinematic errors. In the design stage of machine tools, this approach is convenient for engineers to derive the distribution of kinematic errors. This paper proposes an integrated geometric error prediction and compensation method to eliminate the positioning inaccuracy of tool ball for a double ball bar (DBB) caused by the translational axes’ geometric errors in a multi-axis machine tool (MAMT). Firstly, based on homogeneous transform matrix (HTM) and multi-body system (MBS) theory, the positioning error model only considering the translational axes of a MAMT is established. Then, an integrated error parameter identification method (IEPIM) by using a laser interferometer is proposed. Meanwhile, the identification discrete results of geometric error parameters for the translational axes are obtained by identification experiments. According to the discrete values, the optimal polynomials of 18 position-dependent geometric errors (PDGEs) are founded. As a basis, an iterative compensation method is constructed to modify the NC codes generated with the ordinary compensation method in self-developed compensation software. Finally, simulation verification is conducted with these two compensation methods. Simulation results show the positioning errors for test path of tool ball calculated with the iterative compensation method that are limited within 0.001 mm, and its average accuracy and accuracy stability are improved by 79.5 and 52.2%, respectively. In order to further verify the feasibility of the presented method, a measuring experiment is carried out in XY plane of a five-axis machine tool by using DBB. The experiment results show that the maximum circularity error with the iterative compensation method is reduced about 40.4% than that with the ordinary compensation method. It is therefore reasonable to conclude that the proposed method in this paper can avoid the influence of the translational axes’ geometric errors on rotary ones during a DBB test.
