Purpose: Older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) are at a high risk for oral health decline. To address this, we designed an intervention to improve oral health behaviors specifically for elderly individuals with MCI. Here we describe the protocol for a study with the following aims: to enhance oral health behaviors through online education tailored to the cognitive load of older adults and to maintain or delay cognitive decline. Patients and Methods: This randomized, parallel, single-blind controlled trial will evaluate the effectiveness of an oral health behavior intervention based on an online interactive platform (e-COM[OH]) in older adults with MCI. The participants will be randomly assigned to two groups. The intervention group will receive oral health behavior training through an online platform consisting of four modules: Games, Health Knowledge, Health Skills, and Symptom Reporting Center. The control group will follow the hospital's official account and receive general oral health education. The primary outcome will be the oral health behavior score, assessed using an oral health behavior questionnaire. The secondary outcomes will include social support, perceived stress, cognitive level, oral health-related quality of life, and oral health status. Participant enrollment will begin in April 2024 and is expected to be completed in November 2024. Conclusions: This trial will evaluate whether the e-COM(OH) WeChat mini-program is suitable to improve the oral health behaviors and cognitive functions of older adults with MCI. If its effectiveness is validated and e-COM(OH) is deemed acceptable, appropriate, and feasible, it could serve as a strategic approach to address oral health issues and prevent cognitive decline in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Uranium extraction from seawater (UES) is crucial for ensuring the sustainable development of nuclear power and has seen significant advancements in recent years. However, natural seawater is a highly complex biogeochemical system, characterized by an extremely low uranium (U) concentration (≈3.3 µg L−1), abundant competitive ions, and significant marine biological pollution, making UES a formidable challenge. This review addresses the challenges encountered in UES and explores potential methods for enhancing the industrial UES system, including membrane separation, electrochemistry, photocatalysis, and biosorption. Additionally, several representative marine tests are summarized and restrictive factors of large‐scale UES are analyzed. Finally, the further development of UES from laboratory to industry applications is promoted, with a focus on technological innovation. The goal is to stimulate innovative ideas and provide fresh insights for the future development of the UES system, bridging the gap between laboratory research and industrial implementation. The greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili), a pelagic marine species with a global distribution, has considerable worldwide potential as an aquaculture species. However, difficulties have been encountered in inducing spontaneous spawning in cultured fish stocks. In this study, we analysed the key regulatory factors, secretoneurin (SN) and gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), in greater amberjack. Active peptides of SN and GnRH, SdSNa, and SdGnRH, respectively, were obtained by comparative analysis of homologous proteins from different species. Amino acid substitutions of the SdGnRH decapeptide at position 6 with a dextrorotatory (D) amino acid and at position 10 with an ethylamide group yielded a super-active agonist (SdGnRHa). The injection of SdSNa and SdGnRHa elevated luteinizing hormone, thyroid-stimulating hormone, and oxytocin levels in the sera of sexually mature fish, whereas it reduced the level of follicle-stimulating hormone. Furthermore, in response to the SdSNa and SdGnRHa injections, we detected an increase in the expression of genes associated with oocyte development and spermatogenesis. We established that the greater amberjack cultured along the southern coast of China reached sexual maturity at three years of age, and its reproductive season extended from February to April. Spawning of the cultured greater amberjack was successfully induced with a single injection of SdGnRHa/SdSN/DOM/HCG. Our findings indicate that similar to GnRHa, SNa is a potential stimulator of reproduction that can be used to artificially induce spawning in marine fish.
