Permasalahan pencemaran air Sungai Cilemahabang oleh berbagai kegiatan di sepanjang kanan dan kiri sungai menunjukkan bahwa kualitas Sungai Cilemahabang telah mengalami penurunan kualitas air hingga tidak memenuhi baku mutu yang telah ditetapkan peruntukannya sebagai air baku air minum (Golongan I) berdasarkan PP No.22 Tahun 2021. Tujuan dari analisis air Sungai Cilemahabang ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat beban pencemar Sungai Cilemahabang, mengetahui kapasitas biodegradasi Sungai Cilemahabang, dan memperoleh gambaran untuk penyusunan rekomendasi upaya pengendalian pencemaran air Sungai Cilemahabang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis data di dapat beban pencemar total untuk parameter BOD tertinggi pada titik 2 dan 3 yaitu 9,1 mg/L, Nilai COD tertinggi pada titik 3 yaitu 34,5 mg/L, dan Nitrat tertinggi pada titik 3 yaitu 8,5 Mg/L. Status baku mutu kualitas air Sungai Cilemahabang berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah RI No.22 Tahun 2021 adalah tidak dapat dimanfaatkan sesuai dengan peruntukan air kelas I. Kapasitas Biodegradasi Sungai Cilemahabang berada pada zona Non-Biodegradable dengan perbandingan rasio BOD/COD menunjukkan nilai kurang dari 0,3.

Paving blocks are the result of a mixture of Portland cement, sand, water, and with or without other additives. Based on the results of sampling the composition of plastic waste in temporary shelters for 7 days, the percentage of plastic waste generated is 14%, whereas the percentage of LDPE plastic waste is 8% and the non-LDPE is 6%. This research was conducted with a ratio of cement and sand of 1: 4 with variations of a mixture of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic at 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2% by weight of sand. Paving block quality testing was carried out at the Environmental Engineering and Quality Laboratory, Department of Environmental Engineering and Concrete Laboratory, Civil Engineering, Adhi Tama Institute of Technology Surabaya. The results of the study showed that the greatest compressive strength was obtained in paving blocks with a plastic variation of 0.5%, which is 24,83 MPa. While the lowest compressive strength value is obtained at the paving block variation of 1.5%, which is 12.32 Mpa. The test results for the largest water absorption were obtained on paving blocks with a plastic variation of 2% with an average absorption of 6.45%, while the lowest water absorption was found in paving blocks with 1% plastic variation with an average absorption of 4.65%. it was concluded that the addition of reduced density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic from 0.5% to 2% had no significant impact on the addition of compressive strength and water absorption but tended to experience a decrease in the quality of the comparison sample. The potential for reducing LDPE plastic waste is 203,376 grams/day and produces 8,135 paving blocks with quality B. The purpose of this study is to the utilization of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic waste in paving blocks and the effect on the quality of compressive strength and water absorption.

This study aims to determine the concentration of residual chlorine and net total Coliform distributed by Perumdam Maja Tirta Water Supply Company and received by consumers. Water samples were taken from 7 locations on the distribution network a residential area of Perumdam Maja Tirta, the first sample taken at the reservoir of the Water Treatment Plant of Perumdam Maja Tirta and six samples from consumers. The residual chlorine concentration data and Total Coliform were mapped using Surfer 16 Software, producing an iso concentration map in the form of contour lines. Water Supply Company (WSC) of Tulungagung Regency uses treated water from the Jatiwekas WTP for distribution. Water Treatment Installation (WTI) Jatiwekas has three processing units, i.e., WTP with a capacity of 50 L/s (WTP 1), WTP with a capacity of 100 L/s (WTP 2), and WTP with a capacity of 40 L/s (WTP 3). The Jatiwekas WTP consists of flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and reservoir. The objective of this study is to evaluate the WTP and calculate water demand by considering 90% service coverage. The research was conducted by field observations to obtain information. Based on SNI 6773:2008, most of the Jatiwekas WTP has met the requirements of the package type WTP, except for WTP 3 which has not met because its capacity exceeds the design of the WTP package unit, which only has a discharge rate of 1-50 L/s while the capacity of WTP 3 reaches 100 L /s. The Jatiwekas WTP does not meet the design criteria of the Directorate General of Public Works of Republic Indonesia, which states that the service coverage for small towns with a population of 20,000– 100,000 is 90%, to achieve 90% service coverage, the Jatiwekas WTP needs to increase water production capacity by 123.9 L/s.

Salah satu permasalahan TPA di Kabupaten Ngawi adalah timbulan dan komposisi sampah yang perlu dievaluasi agar nantinya sistem operasional pada fasilitas pengolahan akhir sampah di Kecamatan Ngawi dapat meminimalisir beban saat menuju ke TPA. TPA Selopuro terletak di Kecamatan Pitu dengan luas 5 hektar dan dioperasikan dengan sistem Sanitary Landfill. Pengoperasiannya dimulai dari sistem pengangkutan sampah yang berasal dari beberapa TPA yang tersebar di Kabupaten Ngawi ke TPA Selopuro yang kemudian dilakukan pendataan sebelum masuk ke sel TPA di TPA Selopuro. Kemudian diarahkan ke sel-sel yang tersedia di TPA Selopuro untuk dibongkar. Saat mengolah sampah ke TPA, ada yang menuju ke area TPA untuk ditimbun, ada yang ke areal pengolahan lain selain penimbunan (pengomposan/daur ulang). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu melakukan evaluasi sarana yang tersedia di TPA Selopuro serta kegiatan operasional saat sampah masuk TPA. Metode pada evaluasi sarana dan operasional TPA Selopuro yaitu membandingkan persyaratan sarana TPA seperti yang tercantum dalam Permen PU No. 3 Tahun 2013. Dari keempat fasilitas yang ada di TPA Selopuro hanya 1 fasilitas penunjang operasional yang perlu perbaikan yaitu jembatan timbang. Perlu dilakukan perbaikan sistem untuk mencatat otomatis berat truk sampah yang masuk. Untuk fasilitas lain memiliki kondisi yang baik dan dapat dioperasikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan.

High population density in urban areas is a challenge in preventing the spread of Covid 19. High population density encourages the occurrence of crowds in public facilities, which has a great potential for the spread of the Covid 19 virus. People's awareness to live clean and healthy is an individual's role in realizing personal health, family and the environment. One of the healthy behaviors is the habit of washing hands with soap, which is an effort to prevent the spread of Covid 19. However, everyone's awareness is different, influenced by their socio-economic background. Education on clean and healthy living needs to be carried out continuously, therefore, ITATS Environmental Engineering Department, conducts community service activities in the form of education on clean and healthy living in Tanah Kali Kedinding Village, Kenjeran, Surabaya. Activities of this community service include assisstantship and facilities donation. The result shows that Covid 19 spreading was lowering after the event. The community awareness on cleaner and healthier living is improved.

Used lubricating oil belong hazardous waste based on the Government Regulation Number 101 in 2014 about Hazardous Waste Management. Used lubricating oil contain hydrocarbon and heavy metals such as Fe and Pb. One of method to immobilize used lubricating oil is stabilization/solidification (S/S). S/S method always uses Portland cement to immobilize the heavy metals, but Portland cement can not immobilize the hydrocarbon. In this research, S/S method used Portland cement and bentonite are binding the heavy metals and hydrocarbon in the used lubricating oil. The composition used was cement bentonite 25:75, cement bentonite 75:25, cement 100%, and bentonite 100%. Used lubricating oil was added in 5%, 10%, and 15% weights. The S/S products were examined by measuring the TCLP of the Fe and Pb. The TCLP test was compared with the Fe and Pb concentration in the used lubricating oil. The results showed that the TCLP test of the Fe on the S/S product containing 5%, 10%, 15% used lubricating oil with cement 100% was 371.14 mg/L, 403.66 mg/L, and 417.89 mg/L respectively. Meanwhile, the Fe concentration in the used lubricating oil was 47.78 mg/L. The adding of bentonite to the S/S product decreased the Fe concentration that was leached. The TCLP test of the Fe in the S/S products that contained 5%, 10%, and 15% used lubricating oil with bentonite 100% were 15.24 mg/L, 0.085 mg/L, and 0.428 mg/L respectively. The S/S method using Portland cement and bentonite decreased the Pb concentration leached into the environment.

Pengolahan limbah cair batik menggunakan lumpur aktif secara batch terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pembibitan (seeding), aklimatisasi dan running batch. Penelitian skala laboratorium, menggunakan reaktor lumpur aktif berbahan plastik dengan volume 27 liter dan volume efektif 20 liter. Selama 168 jam penelitian, parameter yang diukur meliputi suhu, pH, MLSS, MLVSS, BOD5 dan COD. Karakteristik awal limbah cair batik Klampar, melebihi baku mutu air limbah tekstil. Pengolahan limbah cair batik Klampar menggunakan lumpur aktif batch selama 168 jam, mampu menurunkan BOD5 sebesar 75,2% dan COD sebesar 75,4%, diikuti penurunan TSS sebesar 61,6%.
