Beryllium sulfate (BeSO4) can cause inflammation through the mechanism, which has not been elucidated. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is a key contributor of inflammation. With mitochondrial damage, released mtDNA can bind to specific receptors (e.g., cGAS) and then activate related pathway to promote inflammatory responses. To investigate the mechanism of mtDNA in BeSO4‐induced inflammatory response in 16HBE cells, we established the BeSO4‐induced 16HBE cell inflammation model and the ethidium bromide (EB)‐induced ρ016HBE cell model to detect the mtDNA content, oxidative stress‐related markers, mitochondrial membrane potential, the expression of the cGAS‐STING pathway, and inflammation‐related factors. Our results showed that BeSO4 caused oxidative stress, decline of mitochondrial membrane potential, and the release of mtDNA into the cytoplasm of 16HBE cells. In addition, BeSO4 induced inflammation in 16HBE cells by activating the cGAS‐STING pathway. Furthermore, mtDNA deletion inhibited the expression of cGAS‐STING pathway, IL‐10, TNF‐α, and IFN‐β. This study revealed a novel mechanism of BeSO4‐induced inflammation in 16HBE cells, which contributes to the understanding of the molecular mechanism of beryllium and its compounds‐induced toxicity. In this study, the inflammation and ρ0 cells model based on 16HBE cells was established to detect the mtDNA content, mitochondrial function‐related markers, the expression of the cGAS‐STING pathway, and inflammation. We found that BeSO4 caused oxidative stress, mitochondrial membrane potential decline, and the release of mtDNA into cytoplasm. The cGAS‐STING pathway was activated in inflamed 16HBE cells. mtDNA deletion inhibited the expression of cGAS‐STING pathway and inflammation. Based on the in-orbit magnetic field data of the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) and Swarm satellites, some research studies on the data consistency cross comparison were carried out. The condition applied is that two satellites pass by in a relatively short period of time and through the spatial location at a relatively close range, and different spatial-temporal scale standards were set, combined with the Kp index to screen for geomagnetic quiet periods. Then, with the help of the CHAOS model, indirect analysis was realized. Furthermore, the difference between the in-orbit data and model value was visualized, and the phenomenon and possible reason for data variation with time and geomagnetic latitude variation were analyzed. These analysis results are displayed in this study, which may evaluate the reliability of the satellite magnetic field detection data and the consistency of multiple satellite detection results and provide a methodological reference for carrying out similar evaluation and analysis subsequently.

Cellulose nanocrystals as reinforcing agents have received considerable interest, and their dimension mainly depends on the original sources of cellulose. We intend to manually modulate the morphology of cellulose nanocrystals by treating them with cellulose solvents so that we can explore their reinforcing capacity. In this work, waste cotton fabric was processed in two aqueous solvents (a sulfuric acid aqueous solution and a NaOH/urea aqueous solution), and the regenerated cellulose was used to produce cellulose nanocrystals using acid hydrolysis. The results revealed that the nanocrystals (RCNC-H) obtained after the treatment in sulfuric acid had a hybrid crystalline structure and a needle-like shape with an aspect ratio of about 15.2, while cotton fabric was completely dissolved in the NaOH/urea aqueous solution, and the regenerated nanocrystals (RCNC-N) displayed a typical crystalline form of cellulose II with a higher crystallinity and a shorter rod-like shape with an aspect ratio of about 6.3. The reinforcing effects of RCNC-H and RCNC-N were evaluated using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) films as a model, where the addition of RCNC-H resulted in a relatively better tensile strength and oxygen barrier property, and the PVA/RCNC-N films had a slightly lower water vapor permeability. Though polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is widely‐used binder for conventional lithium‐sulfur (Li–S) batteries, it still encounters challenges of severe electrode fracture involved by drastic volume change upon repeating cycling, and lack of extended‐functions like trapping dissolved polysulfides and smoothing Li+ transfer. Herein, a methodology of grafting sulfophilic hydrogen‐bond donor and lithiophilic hydrogen‐bond acceptor to the polymer binder (named as PIL), function as gear teethes and tooth spaces, is reported. When cracks occur, the engaged gears driven by dynamic hydrogen bonds are separated, which are spontaneously reformed owing to the automatic meshing of gears, and thus accelerate the healing of cracks. At the molecular level, the synergetic effect of sulfophilic hydrogen‐bond donor and lithiophilic hydrogen‐bond acceptor enables polysulfides immobilization through “push‐pull effect”, facilitating the subsequent redox kinetics. Accordingly, the cross‐link network of hydrogen bonds endows the elaborated designed polymer binder with strong adhesive strength and rapid Li+ migration. Attributed to these beneficial properties, the PIL‐based sulfur cathode exhibits excellent rate performance and superior cycling durability (an ultralow capacity fading rate of 0.062% per cycle over 800 cycles at 2 C). Even with high sulfur loading of 9.27 mg cm−2, a high areal capacity of 8.71 mAh cm−2 can be achieved, verifying its potential application. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
