Bu çalışmada zaman gecikmeli sistemler için ağırlıklı geometrik merkez metodu kullanılarak PI-PD kontrolör tasarımı yapılmıştır. Bunun için öncelikle verilen bir kontrol sistemini kararlı yapan tüm PD kontrolör parametreleri kararlılık sınır eğrisi metodu kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. ( d f k ,k ) düzleminde çizilmiş olan bu eğriden yararlanılarak belirli bir ( d f k ,k ) parametre çifti elde edilmiştir. Daha sonra yine kararlılık sınır eğrisi metodu kullanılarak sistemi kararlı yapan tüm PI kontrolör parametreleri ( p i k ,k ) düzleminde çizilmiş ve bu kararlılık bölgesi içerisinden ağırlıklı geometrik merkez metodu vasıtasıyla belirli bir ( p i k ,k ) parametre çifti elde edilmiştir. ( d f k ,k ) ve ( p i k ,k ) düzlemlerinde çizilen kararlılık sınır eğrilerden yaralanarak, sistemi kararlı yapan tüm PI-PD kontrolör parametre değerleri hesaplanabilmektedir. Ancak bu bölgeler içerisinden sistem performansını en iyi şekilde sağlayabilecek parametrelerin seçimi önemli bir sorundur. Ağırlıklı geometrik merkez metodu bu soruna oldukça pratik ve kullanışlı bir çözüm sunmaktadır. Metotla ilgili bazı örnekler verilmiş ve birim basamak cevapları incelenerek kullanılan metodun performans analizi yapılmıştır., PID controllers are the most common controller algorithm in industrial applications due to their simple structure and robust performance. It can be said that PID controllers are used more than 90% of practical processes. Since derivative action is not used very often, control loops are mostly PI. Many real systems such as biological, physical, chemical, industrial systems have time delay which leads to oscillations or even instability. Thus, modelling and stability analysis of the systems with time delay are very important. In this paper, a practical tuning algorithm of PI-PD controller for the processes with time delay using the weighted geometrical center (WGC) method has been presented. PID controllers show an acceptable control performance for many open loop stable processes. However, they have some structural limitations and cannot provide good results for controlling of unstable, integrating and resonant processes. A modified form of the PID controller is the PI-PD controller. it has four parameters for tuning and provides an excellent control of unstable, integrating and resonant processes. Many important results for PI-PD controllers have been recently reported. However, some of these studies basically focus on calculating the stability region in the controller parameters plane, or required complex solutions methods. It can be said that many of them are far from the simplicity and could not give a practical solution in terms of selecting controller parameters. In this study, the proposed method provides a simple tuning algorithm to determine the values of controller parameters from the stability region of the system. The important advantages of the proposed method are both calculating of the controller parameters without using complex graphical methods and ensuring stability of the closed loop system. The examples given in the paper show this simple tuning method can perform quite reliable results. In this study, a practical tuning algorithm based on the WGC method for PI-PD controller has been presented for the computation of stabilizing PI-PD controller parameters for the processes with time delay using the stability boundary locus method. The proposed method is based on calculating of all stabilizing PI-PD controller parameters region which is plotted using the stability boundary locus in the ( d f k ,k ) and ( p i k ,k ) plane and computing the weighted geometrical center from this stability region. After selecting PD controller parameters from the stability region plotted in the ( d f k ,k ) plane, the method can be applied to obtain desired PI controller parameters ( p i k ,k ). The proposed tuning method provides quite reliable results for time delay systems as illustrated by the examples presented in the paper. For the future works, the WGC method can be applied to internal feedback loop with PD controller to obtain optimum controller parameter for the system. And, then the proposed method can be used for PI controller. Thus, controller parameter tuning algorithm can be improved. Besides, a gain margin phase margin tester can be implemented in PI control loop to achieve user specified gain and phase margins. The proposed method can be compared with the other tuning methods in the literature to show its effectiveness. This paper is organized as follows: Firstly, stability regions of PI-PD controller using the stability boundary locus are presented. Then, the Weighted geometrical center method is introduced. And, to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method, some simulation examples are also given. Finally, concluding remarks and discussion for the future projects are given in the last section.

Mühendishâne'nin kütüphanesinde bulunan fizik ile alakalı yabancı dilde yazılmış eserlerinin ilgili kısımları incelenecek ve bilgi alışverişini mahiyeti, miktarı ve kapsamı araştırılacaktır. This study aims to examine the transfer of modern European physics to the classical science tradition of Ottoman Civilization, by way of analyzing textbooks which were read in the Ottoman Military Schools, or Mühendishânes. For this purpose, the sections on heat and electricity of the encyclopedic textbook, Mecmûa-i Ulûm-i Riyâziye, by the Rector of Ottoman Military School, Başhoca İshak Efendi, were chosen. Additionally, similarities and differences between the heat and electricity sections of modern European physics books and of the Mecmûa were compared and investigated. ÖZET Cep Telefonlarının Yaydığı Radyasyonunun Testis Üzerine Etkilerinin Elektromikroskobik Olarak Değerlendirilmesi Abdullah TOPRAK Bu çalışmada cep telefonlarından yayınlanan mikrodalga radyasyonunun farelerin testis dokusu üzerine etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. 36 Wistar albino rat dört gruba bölündü. Bunlar, sham uygulaması yapılan kontrol grubu erkek (n=6) ve dişi (n=12) ile deney grubu erkek (n=6) ve dişi (n=12) şeklindeydi. Fareler uygulama boyunca plexiglas kafeslere konuldu ve cep telefonları kafeslerin 0,5 cm altına yerleştirildi. Tüm deney gruplarında cep telefonları, iki saatlik uygulama periyodu süresince her biri birer dakikalık üç kez konuşma moduna getirildi. Erkek farelerde radyofrekans radyasyonu (RFR) ve sham uygulamaları bir ay devam etti.. Sham (Kontrol) grubundaki hayvanlar radyofrekans uygulamaları dışında aynı deney şartlarına maruz bırakıldılar (cep telefonları kapatıldı). Bu araştırmada yer alan ve uygulamaya tabi tutulan dişi farelerin erkek yavrularının testislerinde bir değişimin sözkonusu olup olmadığını tespit edilebilmesi amacıyla yavru deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturuldu. Son uygulamadan hemen sonra tüm fareler intraperitonal yolla letal öldürücü dozdaki pentobarbital ile öldürüldü. Tüm erkek erişkin ve yavru ratların testis dokuları histopatolojik olarak ışık ve elektron mikroskobu ile incelendi. Yapılan inceleme sonunda, deney ve kontrol grubu arasında histopatolojik olarak anlamlı farklılık gözlenmedi. Deney ve sham (kontrol) grubu farelerin rektal sıcaklıkları arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmadı (P>0,05). Deney grubu farelerda spesifik absorblanma oranı (SAR) değeri 0,155 W/kg olarak bulundu. Thirtysix Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups, male (n=6) and female sham-exposed groups (n=12) and male (n=6) and female experimental groups (n=12). The rats were confined in plexiglas cages and cellular phones were placed 0,5 cm under the cages. In all the experimental groups, phones were turned to the speech position for 1 min. Three times a day during an exposure periad of 2 h. In male rats, Radiofrequency, Radiation (RFR) and sham exposures were continued for 1 month.. The animals in the sham groups were handled and treated identically to the exposed groups, except that no RFR was emitted from the cellular phones. The reason of female exposure group is to observe the effect of radiation emitted from cellular phones on the testes of male of springs. Immediately after the last exposure, all the rats were killed with alethal dose of pentobarbital introperitoneally. All adult male and male ofsprings rats testis tissue were examined with a light microscope and electron microscope. After the examination, no significant differences were observed between sham (control) and experimental groups histopathologically. It was not found significant differences between rectal temperatures of rats in the sham and experimental groups (P>0,05). BULANIK ADAPTİF MEDYAN FİLTRESİ KULLANARAK TIBBİGÖRÜNTÜLERDEKİ DARBE GÜRÜLTÜSÜNÜN BASTIRILMASI(Doktora Tezi)Abdullah TOPRAKGAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİFEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜEylül 2006ÖZETMedyan filtresi, daha çok darbe gürültüsü oranının 0.2 den az olduğu durumlardaetkili olabilen bir görüntü filtresidir. Bu oranının 0.2 yi aştığı durumlarda adaptifmedyan filtresi kullanılmaktadır. Diğer filtrelerde olduğu gibi adaptif medyanfiltresi için de bir Sxy penceresi seçilir. Ancak adaptif medyan filtresinin, diğerfiltrelerden ayrılan bir özelliği bu pencere büyüklüğünün değiştirilebilir olmasıdır.Ne yazık ki adaptif medyan filtresi darbe gürültülerini yok ederken beraberindegörüntüdeki detayları da yok etmektedir. Bunu engellemek için bu çalışmada,görüntünün piksel değerleri bulanık mantık kuralları ile tespit edilerek kuraltabanlı bulanık adaptif medyan filtresi (KTBAMF) tanımlanmıştır. KTBAMFfiltresi temelde üç bölümden oluşur. Bunlar: medyan filtresi, bulanık mantıkkuralları ve gürültünün olup olmadığına karar veren karar birimidir. Bu filtreninkullanılmasındaki temel amaç görüntü üzerindeki gürültüyü yok ederkengörüntüdeki detayların kaybolmasının önüne geçmektir. Bu nedenle KTBAMFdarbe gürültüsünü yok etmede kullanılabilecek etkili bir filtredir. KTBAMF fitresiAdaptif Medyan Filtresinin (AMF) geliştirilmiş bir versiyonu olup fazla darbegürültüsü bulaşmış görüntülerin gürültüden arındırılmasında kullanılır. If this ratio exceeds 0.2, adaptive median filter isused. As is the case in other filters, a Sxy window is selected for the adaptive medianfilter. However a feature that differentiates the adaptive median filter from theother filters is the fact that the size of this window can be changed. Unfortunately,while adaptive median filter removes the impulse noise, it also deteriorates thedetails in the image it accompanies. In order to prevent this, the pixel values of theimage are determined by the fuzzy adaptive median filter, and as such Rule basedfuzzy adaptive median filter (KTBAMF) is defined in this study. KTBAMF filter ismade up of three basic sections. These are decision units that decide on whether ornot there are median filter, fuzzy logic rules and noise. The basic purpose of usingthis filter is while destroying the noise on the image; it prevents the details of theimage from disappearing. It is for this reason that KTBAMF is an effective filter indestroying the impulse noise. The KTBAMF filter is an improved version ofAdaptive Median Filter (AMF) and is presented in the aim of noise reduction ofimages corrupted with additive impulse noise. Bundan başka, dönem ortasında ara sınav, dönem sonunda da final sınavı ve web tabanlı derse karşı tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Böylece, her iki öğretim yönteminin etkinliği karşılaştırılmıştır. VIProblemler çerçevesinde kurulan hipotezlerin test edilmesi için, son-test puanları ortak değişkenli çok yönlü varyans (MANCOVA) istatistiksel tekniği kullanılarak analiz edildi. İstatistiksel sonuçlar, Web Tabanlı Dolaylı Öğretim Yöntemi uygulanan grubun Web Tabanlı Direkt Öğretim Yöntemi uygulanan grubtan anlamlı oranda daha başarılı olduğunu göstermektedir. Buna karşılık, Web Tabanlı Direkt Öğretim Yöntemi uygulanan grup Web Tabanlı Dolaylı Öğrenim Yöntemi uygulanan gruptan anlamlı oranda daha yüksek web tabanlı derse karşı tutuma sahip olmuştur. Prof. Dr. Behiye UBUZ April 2005, 181 pages This study aimed to explore the effects of instructional methods in the asynchronous web-based `Science and Math Teaching Methods Course` on pre- service teachers' achievement, metacognition, and attitudes towards computer, WWW, and the web-based course. It was conducted with two groups, total of 63 third grade pre-service teachers, and one instructor (the researcher), in the Elementary Education Department at Bosphorus University in the academic year of 2003-2004. The Instructor used `Direct Instruction` method based on behaviorist approach for one group, and `Indirect Instruction` method based on constructivist approach for the other one. The general metacognition questionnaire and, attitude scales for the computer and WWW were given as pretests, and after a fourteen-week treatment period they were given as posttests to both groups. Additionally, in the middle of the semester a midterm exam, and at the end of the semester a final exam, and attitudes towards web-based course scale were administered. Thus, the effectiveness of the two different instructional methods was compared. The data obtained were analyzed by statistical techniques of multivariate analyses of covariance. Results of the statistical analyses indicated that the group IVexposed to the web-based indirect instruction had significantly higher achievement on the final exam than the one exposed to the web based direct instruction. On the other hand, the group exposed to the web based direct instruction had significantly higher attitudes towards web-based course than the one exposed to the web-based indirect instruction. However, the statistical analyses failed to show any significant differences between the groups on the midterm exam, metacognition, and, attitudes towards computer and WWW. PMID: 30222727 Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer types in the world and is a serious threat to health. This type of cancer is complex; it is a hereditary disease and does not result from a single cause. The diagnosis of cancer starts with a biopsy. Various methods are used to detect and recognize cancer cells, from microscopic images and mammography to ultrasonography and magnetic resonance images (MRI). Material/Methods: Detection and characterization of benign and malignant cells by image-processing-based segmentation for breast cancer diagnosis is important for early diagnosis. In the present study, Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) classification was performed for 9 features based on image segmentation in the Breast Cancer Wisconsin (Diagnostic) data set in the UC Irvine Machine Learning Repository database. Results: The results obtained with the developed method were compared with the results of other machine learning methods (Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machine, and Artificial Neural Network) and it showed the highest performance, with a result of 98.99%. Conclusions: It was found that both accuracy and speed were good. We present a method that can be applied in cell morphology detection and classification in automated systems that classify by computer-aided mammogram image features.
