Bu çalışmada, CyberKnife radyocerrahi sisteminde meme kanseri tanılı 10 beyin metastazlı olgunun planlama sistemi kullanılarak sanal tedavi planları üç farklı kolimatör (Sabit Kolimatör, IRIS ve MLC) için dozimetrik karşılaştırma ve değerlendirme yapıldı. Çalışmanın amacı meme kanseri tanılı beyin metastazlı olguların tedavi planlama sisteminde farklı yöntemlerle yapılan sanal tedavi planlarını dozimetrik olarak değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Radyasyon Onkolojisi Anabilim Dalı’nda tedaviye alınmış meme kanseri tanılı beyin metastazlı 10 olguya ait arşiv bilgileri retrospektif olarak elde edildi ve planlama sisteminde sanal tedavi planları yapıldı. Yapılan planlarda reçete edilen doz 3 fraksiyonda 18 Gy ve izodoz eğrisi % 80’de tanımlandı. Çalışmanın tamamlanmasıyla elde edilen tedavi planların hedef hacim dozları, kritik organ dozları, homojenite, konformalite, gradiyent indeksi, monitör unit (MU), NOD ve tedavi süre verileri karşılaştırıldı. Elde edilen planlar için izodozun hedef hacimin %95’ini sarmasına ve kritik organların korunmasına dikkat edildi. Oluşturulan planlardaki dose volüme histogram (DVH)’lar ile doz dağılımları elde edildi. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerle statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) programında üçlü karşılaştırmada Repeated Mesure Anova ve Friedman testleri kullanılarak istatistiksel analiz yapıldı. PTV (Dmax, Dmin, D2), Beyin-PTV (V8, V10, V12), sol göz, sol-sağ hipokampüs, beyin sapı, optik kiazma, hipofiz bezi, sol lakrimal, sol ve sağ kohlea, HI ve GI değerleri birbirlerine yakın değerler elde edilmiş ve anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır. Sol-sağ lens, sağ göz, sol optik sinir ve CI için IRIS kolimatör, sağ optik sinir, sağ lakrimal ve nCI için FIXED kolimatör, MU, NOD ve tedavi süresi için ise MLC’de iyi olduğu görülmüş ve anlamlı fark saptanmıştır. In this study, dosimetric comparison and evaluation of virtual treatment plans for three different collimators (FIXED Collimator, IRIS and MLC) were performed using the planning system of 10 brain metastasized cases diagnosed with breast cancer in the CyberKnife radiosurgery system. The aim of this study is to evaluate dosimetrically the virtual treatment plans made by different methods in the treatment planning system of brain metastasis patients diagnosed with breast cancer. For this purpose, archival information about 10 cases with brain metastases diagnosed with breast cancer that were treated at the Department of Radiation Oncology of the Faculty of Medicine of Bursa Uludag University was obtained retrospectively and virtual treatment plans were made in the planning system. In the plans made, the prescribed dose was 18 Gy in 3 fractions and the isodose curve was defined at 80%. The target volume doses, critical organ doses, homogeneity, conformality, gradient index, monitor unit (MU), NOD and treatment duration data of the treatment plans obtained after the completion of the study were compared. For the obtained plans, attention was paid to the fact that isodose envelops 95% of the target volume and protects critical organs. Dose volume histogram (DVH) was used to obtain dose distributions in the created plans. In this study, the data obtained in the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) program were analyzed using Repeated Mesure Anova and Friedman tests in a three-way comparison using statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS). PTV (Dmax, Dmin, D2), Brain-PTV (V8, V10, V12), left eye, left-right hippocampus, brain stem, optic chiasma, pituitary gland, left lacrimal, left and right cohlea, HI and GI values were obtained close to each other and no significant difference was found. The IRIS collimator for the left-right lens, right eye, left optic nerve and CI, the FIXED collimator for the right optic nerve, right lacrimal and NCI, and the MU, NOD and MLC for the duration of treatment were found to be good and a significant difference was found.

This paper investigates the effect of firm-level investment on the levels of income inequality and poverty. Using a sample of firms from 87 countries for the period from 1979 to 2018, we document that firm-level investment is negatively associated with various measures of income inequality. This negative association is robust to alternative firm-level capital investment proxies, empirical model specifications, and a variety of country-level controls. Further evidence shows that firm-level investment is also negatively related to several measures of poverty. Overall, our results indicate that firm-level capital expenditures provide benefit to the poor and, thus, decreases income inequality. Our findings indicate that firm-level capital investment can be a valuable tool for countries that are aiming to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals of reducing inequality and poverty. Our results may also be beneficial to policy makers as they consider a variety of regulatory and taxation measures that may constrain or help firm's ability to invest.

When regions in close proximity have different tax rates, residents may engage in cross-border shopping and take advantage of tax differentials. The extent of this activity can be captured by the tax elasticity of border sales (TEBS). We collect 749 estimates of TEBS reported in 60 studies, and conduct the first meta-analysis of this literature. We show that the literature is prone to selective reporting: positive estimates of TEBS are systematically discarded—this biases the mean reported estimate away from the 'true' underlying effect. Reported estimates also vary widely; we construct 29 control variables that capture empirical strategies used to obtain them, and employ Bayesian Model Averaging to pin down the sources of this variation. We find that sales of food, retail and fuel are more elastic compared to sales of tobacco and other individual 'sin' products; that while the cross-border shopping is prominent in the US, it is much less prevalent in Europe and other countries.

Turkey is considered the homeland of olives and is one of the important olive oil producers of the world. With the increasing number of trees, the necessity to complete olive harvest in a short time, like 3-4 months, makes mechanization necessary. The use of mechanical devices during olive harvest causes an increase in the number of leaves, shoots, and branches in the harvested product. Leaf separation systems used in cleaning non-olive materials in olives are generally inadequate in cleaning olives containing dense leaves obtained due to the use of new generation harvesting machines. For this reason, to develop an innovative sorting/cleaning prototype to provide more efficient cleaning, it is necessary to determine the machine efficiency, oil efficiency, olive oil quality and composition of machines. Total phenolics, chlorophyll and carotenoid contents, induction period and DPPH antioxidant activity values of olive oil obtained after traditional suction fan system (TSFS) application were higher than olive oils obtained after new generation blown and drum sieve system (NGBDSS) application. However, the α-tocopherol content of olives was low in the samples obtained by TSFS. The fatty acid composition of olive oils obtained from both applications was similar. Our study determined that there were 13 volatile compounds in the olive oil obtained after applying the TSFS, and there were 6 volatile compounds in the olive oil obtained with the application of NGBDSS. When the sensory properties of olive oils were analyzed, it was found that olive oils obtained from both applications were similar to the fruitiness, bitterness, and pungency of olive oils obtained after applying NGBDSS., Ülkemiz, zeytinin anavatanı olarak kabul edilmekte olup, Dünya'nın önemli zeytinyağı üreticilerinden biridir. Zeytin hasadının 3-4 ay gibi kısa zamanda tamamlanma zorunluluğu, artan ağaç sayısı ile birlikte hasatta mekanizasyonu gerekli kılmaktadır. Zeytin hasadında mekanik cihazların kullanımı toplanan üründeki yaprak, filiz ve dal parçalarının miktarının artmasına sebep olmaktadır. Zeytinlerdeki yabancı maddelerin temizlenmesinde kullanılan yaprak ayırma sistemleri genellikle yeni nesil hasat makinelerinin kullanımı sonucu elde edilen ve yoğun yaprak içeren zeytinlerin temizlenmesinde yetersiz kalmaktadır. Bu sebeple daha etkin bir temizleme sağlamak için yenilikçi ayıklama/temizleme prototipi geliştirmek; makinelerin etkinliğini, yağ verimini, zeytinyağı kalite ve kompozisyonunu belirlemek gerekmektedir. Geleneksel emme fanlı sistem (GEFS) uygulaması sonrasında elde edilen zeytinyağının toplam fenolik, klorofil ve karotenoid miktarları ile indüksiyon periyodu ve DPPH antioksidan aktivite değerlerinin, yeni nesil üflemeli ve tambur elekli sistem (YNÜTES) uygulaması sonrasında elde edilen zeytinyağlarına göre daha yüksek olduğu, bununla birlikte α-tokoferol miktarının ise daha düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Her iki uygulamadan elde edilen zeytinyağlarının yağ asidi kompozisyonu değerlerinin benzer olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Uçucu bileşenler açısından çalışmamızda GEFS uygulaması sonrasında elde edilen zeytinyağında 13 adet, YNÜTES uygulaması ile elde edilen zeytinyağında ise 6 adet uçucu bileşen olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Duyusal özellikler bakımından her iki uygulamadan elde edilen zeytinyağlarının meyvemsilik, acılık ve yakıcılık şiddetlerinin benzer olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı; Cyberknife ile gerçekleştirilen intrakranial tedavilerde IRIS kolimatör ve MLC ile yapılan planların kalitelerini değerlendirmek ve karşılaştırmaktır. Değerlendirme yapılırken homojenite, konformalite, gradiyent indeks, Monitör Unit ve tedavi süresi parametreleri kullanıldı. Tedavi planları oluşturulurken kritik organların maksimum derecede korunması sağlanırken reçete edilen dozun %100’ünün, hedef hacmin %95’ini sarmasına dikkat edildi. Beyin metastazlı 10 olgunun, iki farklı kolimatör kullanılarak farklı lokalizasyonlarda bulunan hedef hacimlere yönelik, tedavi planları yapıldı. Planlarda reçete edilen doz 3 fraksiyonda 18 Gy olarak tanımlandı. Doğru bir karşılaştırma yapabilmek için IRIS kolimatör ve MLC için kullanılan planlama parametreleri, her bir olgu için sabit tutuldu. Reçete edilen doz minumum %80’lik izodoz eğrisine tanımlandı.
