This study explores the mediating role of health literacy on the association between health care system distrust and vaccine hesitancy. An online survey including Personal Information Form, Health Care System Distrust Scale, Vaccine Hesitancy Scale, and Health Literacy Scale were applied to 620 participants. The degree of applying mask-wearing, hygiene rule and physical distance, and the level of COVID-19 vaccine literacy were modeled with hierarchical multiple regression analysis to have a deeper analysis of participants' actions towards COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. It was found that health care system distrust and health literacy were the most important variables that had an impact on vaccine hesitancy. Based on the mediation analysis, the total effect of health care system distrust on vaccine hesitancy was statistically significant. Participants who held a low level of health literacy and a high perception of the health care system distrust experienced more vaccine hesitancy. The findings suggested the health literacy mediated the relationship between health care system distrust and vaccine hesitancy. The ability to identify and report child abuse and neglect at schools plays a significant role in protecting children and reducing the consequences of violence and abuse. This research examines how preschool teachers identify and report child abuse and neglect by focusing on their knowledge and skills in available preventions and interventions. The study sample included 25 preschool teachers from both public and private kindergartens in Türkiye. Thematic analysis was conducted on the interventions around child abuse and neglect using semi-structured interviews. The thematic analysis revealed three themes: (a) challenges in protecting children; (b) being able to identify neglect and abuse; and (c) contributing factors in child protection. Many participants demonstrated an ability to identify the consequences of child abuse and neglect. Key barriers to protecting children were the teachers' difficulties in reporting abuse, struggles within the school environment, parents' normalization of violence and abuse and resistance to changing their behaviors toward children. Based on these findings, a multilevel intervention approach was recommended to address child abuse and neglect in school settings, emphasizing the need for coordinated responses. In this study, quantum chemical calculations of phenazine-based organic molecules applied in organic dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have been made and interpreted. Since DSSC molecules work with the electron push–pull system, the sequence of other compounds (2–8) from compound 1 is designed as a donor–π bridge (weak acceptor)–acceptor (D–π–A). Later, the studied molecules were expanded from 2a to 8c by lengthening the conjugation with phenyl, thiophene, and furan to the acceptor parts. Density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations are practiced to investigate all structures and absorption spectra of molecules, respectively. It has been observed that the phenazine-based molecule series are good candidates for DSSCs, both with their band gap and their absorption spectrum results. It can be assumed that changing the HOMO and LUMO energy values of all designed structures according to compound 1 can absorb light in the organic dye-sensitized solar cells and transfer electrons to the conductivity band of TiO2. As a result, it has been resolved that various dyes can be designed for dye-sensitizing solar cells by calculating electronic energies, HOMO–LUMO energies, and absorption wavelengths.

This study examined the responses of domestic violence perpetrators to group treatment by conducting observations with 12 men from two 10-week two-group interventions who had received a no-contact order. Thematic analysis was applied to the observation notes. The participants often indicated improved awareness and behavior change through expressing feelings of shame, learning alternative behaviors, and acquiring new techniques. Conversely, the normalization of violence, social expectations, gendered stereotypes, and masculinity crises were identified as barriers. The findings indicate that learning and implementing new strategies for healthy and respectful intimate relationships can help men take responsibility for their abusive acts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting millions of individuals. Dealing with the psychological impacts of Covid-19, including depression, anxiety, and stress, can negatively impact one's relational experience, potentially lowering relationship satisfaction. This study aims to understand how distress caused by Covid-19 is related to relationship satisfaction and investigate the mediating role of dyadic coping. Using a sample of 233 individuals residing in Turkey who self-identified as being in a romantic relationship, this study found that the Covid-19 distress was negatively linked with relationship satisfaction, and individual's perception of dyadic coping mediated such relationship. While faith, religion, and spirituality are frequently cited as helping survivors of domestic violence to recover from trauma, there is inadequate knowledge about how faith and religious beliefs can impact perpetrators' behavioral change in domestic violence interventions. This literature review synthesizes eleven studies that met the inclusion criteria on the role of faith and religion on perpetrators' behavioral change by focusing on the influence of faith communities and domestic violence interventions. The findings show that the roles of faith and belief systems on behavioral change among perpetrators are complex and dynamic as faith has varying impacts on behavioral change. The findings also indicate that social workers recognize how faith and spirituality, and the integration of faith-based strategies in interventions positively impact their practices. The studies also discuss the intersections between the roles of faith communities, men's faith-based justifications of violence, and religiously based male privilege. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Key strategies and challenges of translating the interview data should be considered to do justice to the meanings and voices of the participants and remove misrepresentation. This article aims to investigate the key issues around translation in qualitative and sensitive research of the examination of the men's engagement in domestic violence interventions in the UK. While many studies report on the importance of providing credibility to the meanings of the participants' stories, there are limited studies that explore how researchers deal with difficulties and the techniques for translating the data. This research focuses on the key issues around the translation of interview data from Turkish to English. It highlights how the researcher's position as a translator and a researcher impacted on collecting the data from the participants in a native language and presenting them in English. In this study, dibenzo[a,c]phenazine based acceptor was combined with donors and acceptor to obtain donor-π-acceptor type potential thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters. All molecules’ structural and electronic properties were computed theoretically at the level of Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Time Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT) with the application of three different hybrid functionals. Most of the designed structures were found to have the potential to be TADF compounds. This is because it has a very narrow energy gap between the first excited single and triple states.
