Background: In 2018, an estimated 2 million people had breast cancer. Forest honey (Apis dorsata) can have antioxidant activity due to the presence of flavonoid saponin, alkaloid, and tannin compound, therefore can be used as anticancer through the induction of apoptosis.Objective: To determine the IC50 of forest honey (Apis dorsata) on T47D breast cancer cells and see the morphology of T47D cells after administration of forest honey.Methods: This study is an in vitro test of the cytotoxic activity of forest honey against T47D breast cancer cells using the MTT assay method. The concentration of forest honey was prepared by the two-fold microdilution method in the range of 1000 - 31.25 µg/mL. Doxorubicin was used as a control drug with a concentration of 20 - 0.675 µg/mL. The morphology of T47D cells after treatment was observed with an inverted microscope with 400x magnification.Results: Forest honey (Apis dorsata) from any concentration did not show any inhibition of growth of T47D breast cancer cells. Meanwhile, doxorubicin had an IC50 of 3.746 µg/mL. The morphology of T47D cells with honey administration showed many live cells with formazan crystals.Conclusion: Forest honey has no cytotoxic activity against T47D breast cancer cells.

Background: Malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium parasite infection wwhich is transmitted through bite of an Anopheles mosquito. Efforts to control malaria can be carried out in various ways, starting from treatment, prevention, to breaking the transmission chain through vectors, both mosquitoes and larvae. Mindi tree contains Azadiractin compounds which are larvicides. Study aims to determine effect of mindi leaf powder (Melia azedarach L) on mortality of Anopheles aconitus instar III larvae.Methods: A true experimental study with a post test only control group design, the object of research was Anopheles aconitus Instar III larvae. The research was conducted at Laboratory of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Islam Sultan Agung, Semarang. 20 larvae / 100 ml were used. Air temperature and water pH were controlled during observation. Assessment by counting number of mortality larvae and the number of live larvae from each treatment was compared to the control. The data obtained were analyzed by the Kruskal-Wallis statistical test. The LD50 and LD90 were analyzed using Probit analysis.Results: The dose of 0.2 g/100 ml was the minimum dose that killed 100% of larvae of Anopheles aconitus (p = 0.01). In the probit test, LD50 was 0.01 g/100 ml of aquades, while LD90 was 0.06 gram/ 100 ml of aquades.Conclusion: Dose can served as larvicidal (LD90 )was 0.06 g/100 ml of aquades., while LD50 was 0.01 g/100 ml of aquades.

Developmental disorders can affect one or more areas of development such as gross motor, fine motor, speaking/using language, and social personality/independence. Factors that influence the development in children can come from internal factors (exclusive breastfeeding, and maternal gestational age) and external factors (maternal age and number of children under five in the family). Early detection of development is very important using the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire or DENVER II. The objective of the study is to identify risk factors that influence delays in the development of children aged 3-36 months. This research is an analytic observational with case control approach. The research location was at Integrated Healthcare Unit, Primary Health Center of Rowosari, Semarang. The total sample of this study was 62 in children aged 3-36 months whose development was analyzed using the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire instrument. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The variables of this study were exclusive breastfeeding, gestational age, maternal age and the number of children under five in the family. Statistical tests used Chi-Square to analyze the relationship between internal and external factors with the delay in child development. The results show that exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.042) and gestational age (p=0.042) have a significant relationship with the development of children aged 3-36 months, while maternal age factors during pregnancy (p=0.425) and number of children under five (p=0,353) have no significant relationship. Thus, internal factors such as exclusive breastfeeding and maternal gestational age affect the developmental delay of children aged 3-36 months.
