While an emphasis is placed on mastery of the IMO’s Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP) at Maritime English institutions in Japan, SMCP alone do not lead to the successful acquisition of Maritime English. Various elements constitute proficiency in Maritime English, one of which is reading comprehension ability of nautical publications to ensure the safety of ship navigations. This study is designed to be the cornerstone in identifying the best Maritime English reading comprehension strategy. Participants were 34 university students pursuing to become third-grade maritime officers in navigation. Three learning strategies, namely, the Vocabulary List Method, the Reading Practice Method, and the Vocabulary List and Reading Practice Method, were selected and analyzed with regard to their efficacy, learning time, subjective difficulty, and vocabulary retention level. The results indicated that there were no significant differences among the three learning strategies with regard to their efficacy, learning time, and vocabulary retention level. However, in terms of subjective difficulty, the first method was significantly easier than the other two methods. Moreover, the learning strategies that implemented vocabulary lists have shown more promising results with respect to vocabulary retention level.

【目 的】 認知症の行動・心理症状（Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia: BPSD）が重度の患者を対象に包括的BPSDケアシステム®（以下システム）を実施し，その有効性を評価する．【対象と方法】 対象者は急性期治療を担うC病院の入院患者であり，認知症高齢者の日常生活自立度Ⅲ以上，NPI-Qが10点以上，研究の同意を得た10名とした．対象者にシステムを実施した．評価は入院時，介入後1・3・5週間の時点で行った．BPSDはNPI-Qで評価を行った．【結 果】 対象者10名の入院時NPI-Q重症度得点は13.5±2.1点から入院1週間後は8.7±5.6点と有意に改善した（p＝0.027）．10名中7名が3週間以内に退院，転院できた．【結 語】 重度のBPSDをもつ患者には，包括的BPSDケアシステム®における個別アクションプランが必要であることが示唆された．

【目 的】本研究の目的は，一般住民を対象とした研修会の参加者が在宅サービスに対してどのような期待を持ったのか，また，その期待は，人生の最期を過ごしたい場所による違いがあるのかを明らかにすることである．【方 法】対象者は，地域包括ケアに関する一般住民を対象とした研修会に参加し，調査に同意し，有効回答を得た265名．調査は，背景と在宅サービスへの期待度を問う自記式質問紙とした．分析方法は，自宅選択者群と非自宅選択者群に分けてχ2検定，Mann-WhitneyのU検定を用いた．【結 果】在宅サービス期待度平均値は3.4以上と期待する側に寄っている中，「緊急時連絡先提示」，「家族の介護負担軽減」は3.77と最高値であった．自宅選択者は非自宅選択者に比べ，「精神的安定」，「入院回避」，「希望サービスの利用」，「利用回数や時間の希望」の期待の程度が高かった．【結 論】研修会に参加した一般住民の在宅サービスへの期待が高い中，自宅選択者と非自宅選択者では，4項目で違いが示された．

【目 的】 群馬県の訪問看護ステーション（以下，ステーション）における COPD 患者の背景とアクションプラン（AP）導入状況を明らかにする． 【方 法】 調査方法はステーション 187 施設への無記名自記式質問紙調査（郵送法）．回答はステーション管理者が調査時の状況を記載した． 【結 果】 返信は 79 施設（回収率 42.2％）．COPD 患者のいるステーションは 45 施設（57.0％）．患者は，全員が 65 歳以上，8 割が介助を必要とした．AP を有する患者のいるステーションは 20 施設．AP の内容は様々だった．AP を有する患者ケアの実施得点は，AP のない患者に比べ「吸入薬がある場合は吸入指導」，「増悪した時の対応の教育」が高かった（p＜0.05）．また COPD 患者のいるステーションは，いない所と比べ「常勤看護職員数」と「総患者数」が有意に多く（p＜0.01），「24 時間対応体制加算」も多かった（p＜0.05）． 【結 語】COPD 患者が地域での暮らしを続けるには，ステーションの患者の個別性に配慮した AP 作成が必要である．

Biological interactions include mutualistic relationships that have a positive effect on the fitness of each other, and parasitic relationships that one species has a negative effect on the fitness of the other species. Furthermore, organisms can be classified into generalists who can relate to various organisms and specialists who can only relate to specific organisms. Plants have evolved various defense functions against feeding damage by herbivores, but specialist herbivores can adapt to their defense functions and feed on the plants. In this thesis, I investigated to clarify the reproductive strategies of the perennial herbaceous plant Sanguisorba tenuifolia var. alba against herbivory of the specialist floral herbivore Phengaris teleius, as well as the variation of defense functions against herbivory among years and among populations.
