Abstract Background Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSDs), although conceptualized as separate entities, may share some clinical and neurobiological features. ASD symptoms may have a relevant role in determining a more severe clinical presentation of schizophrenic disorder but their relationships with cognitive aspects and functional outcomes of the disease remain to be addressed in large samples of individuals. Aims To investigate the clinical, cognitive, and functional correlates of ASD symptoms in a large sample of people diagnosed with schizophrenia. Methods The severity of ASD symptoms was measured with the PANSS Autism Severity Scale (PAUSS) in 921 individuals recruited for the Italian Network for Research on Psychoses multicenter study. Based on the PAUSS scores, three groups of subjects were compared on a wide array of cognitive and functional measures. Results Subjects with more severe ASD symptoms showed a poorer performance in the processing speed (p = 0.010), attention (p = 0.011), verbal memory (p = 0.035), and social cognition (p = 0.001) domains, and an overall lower global cognitive composite score (p = 0.010). Subjects with more severe ASD symptoms also showed poorer functional capacity (p = 0.004), real-world interpersonal relationships (p

- Abstract
Creative Food Cycles aims to enhance innovative and creative practices between food, architecture, and conviviality in a transnational and European perspective. Food systems as complex and rapidly changing constellations of economic activity, cultural exchange and social interaction influence Europe's long-term sustainability and living conditions. Resilient food cycles as part of the circular economy can be drivers for strategic change in urban development, urban qualities and cultural values. Creative Food Cycles works for new conviviality in the city as a creative factor for identities, innovation and social integration. The project develops a cultural and holistic approach that links all aspects of food cycles: from production to distribution (phase 1), from distribution to consumption (phase 2), and from consumption to utilisation (phase 3). This open and inclusive approach will stimulate interactions between creative professionals, cultural operators, institutional actors and committed citizens with all those active in food cycles. Creative Food Cycles Book 2 is an open source working manual that offers methodological and experimental insights into the project’s actions, thus complementing the international collection of good practices (Food Interactions Catalogue), the publication of the research work in the project evaluated by an international symposium (Creative Food Cycles Book 1), and the publication of the festival as cultural-creative transfer and sustainability event. Creative Food Cycles is co-funded by the European Union in the Creative Europe Programme. The project is coordinated by the Institute for Urban Design and Planning of Leibniz University of Hannover and performed with the project partners Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia IAAC Barcelona/Spain and Department of Architecture and Design of the University of Genoa/Italy. Creative Food Cycles combines research with experimental prototyping, cultural actions and social dialogue.

- Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the possible impact of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) on reproduction and development of different model organisms, such as sea urchins, barnacles, brine shrimps and zebrafish. In vivo toxicological tests were performed; the biological models were exposed to serial dilutions of commercial Ag-NPs. Our findings revealed that: i) all tests were suitable to verify the impact of Ag-NPs on models in term of exposure; ii) all tests can provide an idea of the role of NPs on environmental health; iii) an integrated interdisciplinary approach, using several model organisms, is recommended in order to have an overview of the effects of NPs on water environment., Lo scopo di questo lavoro è stato valutare l’impatto delle nanoparticelle di argento (Ag-NPs) sulla riproduzione e sullo sviluppo di vari organismi modello, quali Paracentrotus lividus, Amphibalanus amphitrite, Artemia salina e Danio rerio.

Our findings revealed that: i) all tests were suitable to verify the impact of Ag-NPs on models in term of exposure; ii) all tests can provide an idea of the role of NPs on environmental health; iii) an integrated interdisciplinary approach, using several model organisms, is recommended in order to have an overview of the effects of NPs on water environment., Le but de cette étude était d'étudier le possible impact des nanoparticules d'argent (Ag-NP) sur la reproduction et le développement des différents modèles des organismes, tels que les oursins, les balanes, les crevettes de saumure et le poisson zèbre.
