Fair Transport represent a contemporary social movement whose aim is to highlight the necessity of promoting better conditions of work and employment in transport. Also, a focus is placed on environmental protection and on the quality of transport services. There are currently ongoing campaigns of international federations and associations of workers in transport dealing with such movement but the roots and causes for such movement date back to early times. This paper has the aim to investigate the role of religion in such international social context.

This paper presents a review on the roles of the chaplaincy service, customary met in the Navy. The aim of the research is to understand and explain the institutional duality of chaplains using ethnography and auto-ethnography as research methods for approaching contemporary issues of chaplaincy.

This paper presents several relevant institutions, programs andscientific research with impactfor reducing world gender bias. The emblematic scientific literature overview on the topic ishighlighting the gender imbalance in the seafaring profession and the stringent need for maritimegender policies, considering women labor force represent an untapped resource that will revive themaritime industry. A statistical comparison between gender indicators recorded in Romania andthe values recorded at the level of the European Union reveals that gender equality values fromRomania are mostly similar to the European Union average, suggesting Romania is on the goodpath of reducing gender bias. The main conclusion of the paper is that further programs, policiesand strategies must be established and continued at administrative and private business level toincrease the number of female seafarers and port workers.

Algorithmic age is the actual time context where automated technologies and decision-making systems are starting to influence world scale transport economies and in particular the sector of maritime transport. Algorithms emerging from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications are suited to solve demanding problems or improving our ability to accomplish timeconsuming tasks of maritime companies. This paper presents a comparative analysis of technology advancements met in three case studies of artificial intelligence assisted platforms and tools useful for enhancing maritime business in the algorithmic age. The case studies can be further used in qualitative studies on the societal impact of artificial intelligence technologies and for the understanding of the framework of digital evolution in the maritime sector.
