- Abstract
Objectives: To demonstrate a novel, non-pneumatic, compliant mechanism-based micro gripper to immobilize oocytes for the Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Material and Methods: The micro gripper is designed intuitively based on different techniques available to design compliant mechanisms in the literature such as the Stiffness Maps technique, Kinetoelastostatic maps, and feasibility maps techniques. The gripper’s holder was made from a 2mm thick PMMA sheet; whereas, the gripper was fabricated using a hydrophilic sheet, a proprietary material of 3MTM. The gripper and holder were assembled using a biocompatible adhesive. Results: Experimental trials carried out with the gripper holder on the ICSI workbench showed that the developed gripper holder was able to hold the oocyte gently and firmly in place. A micro linear actuator was used to actuate the gripper-holder. The device was tested for its efficacy to perform ICSI by designing ICSI experiments with matured oocytes and sperm; it was found that the degeneration rate was absolutely zero percent for all the matured oocytes. Conclusions: A novel device to micro manipulate oocytes during intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection is presented in this paper and is based on the gripping principle as opposed to the conventional suction-based pipettes for holding the oocytes gently and firmly in place during ICSI. The degeneration rate was found to be zero using the gripper-based novel device.

Scribe is used for helping physically challenged and short-term disabled students for instance, fracture. And also, the scribe is less efficient as they have major problems like lousy handwriting, and the student may have an introverted feeling due to their presence. These drawbacks of the manual scribe can be avoided with the help of an automated AI scribe. To build this AI scribe, this paper makes use of machine learning (To convert the text to their equivalent handwriting), Google speech to text API (Convert student speech to text), and Tobii Eye-tracking technology (To enable students to draw diagrams).

LPG gas leakages result in many accidents in both property and human life. The main cause for such explosion may be due to substandard cylinders, old valves, worn out regulators, and lack of awareness in handling gas cylinders. It leads to explosion, fire, suffocation, etc., which is caused due to their physical properties such as toxicity, flammability, etc. The fatal accidents caused by the explosion of LPG gas cylinder have been increased in recent times. Our objective is to design a hardware setup which can be implemented practically for the detection of such LPG gas leakages, which leads to fatal accidents. To develop a circuitry using suitable sensors, valves, contactors, and relay arrangements to detect to leakage and shut off the flow of LPG automatically from the cylinder and power supply to the house with an indicator and send SMS alert to the authority. The main subject of our project is to provide a solution by shutting down the main switch, and alarm system has been used as output. The system once implemented can reduce the fatal accidents and decrease the risk of failure resulting in health hazard give to substandard cylinder.

Image compression is process to remove the redundant information from the image so that only essential information can be stored to reduce the storage size, transmission bandwidth and transmission time. The essential information is extracted by various transforms techniques such that it can be reconstructed without losing quality and information of the image. In this research comparative analysis of image compression is done by four transform method, which are Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform( DWT) & Hybrid (DCT+DWT) Transform and fractal coding. MATLAB programs were written for each of the above method and concluded based on the results obtained that hybrid DWT-DCT algorithm performs much better than the standalone JPEG-based DCT, DWT algorithms in terms of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), as well as visual perception at higher compression ratio. The popular JPEG standard is widely used in digital cameras and web based image delivery. The wavelet transform, which is part of the new JPEG 2000 standard, claims to minimize some of the visually distracting artifacts that can appear in JPEG images. For one thing, it uses much larger blocks- selectable, but typically 1024 x 1024 pixels for compression, rather than the 8 X 8 pixel blocks used in the original JPEG method, which often produced visible boundaries. Fractal compression has also shown promise and claims to be able to enlarge images by inserting realistic detail beyond the resolution limit of the original.

Objectives: The main objective is the development of an efficient method in the recognition of vehicles in real world. Methods: The system relies on setting up of an alternate direct SVM classifier for every model in the planning set. Each of these Exemplar-SVMs is subsequently defined by a singular positive event and a large number negatives. While each discoverer is altogether specific to its model, we precisely watch that a troupe of such Exemplar-SVMs offers shockingly awesome theory. The use of exemplar SVM will make the number of examples in the dataset more and the efficient way of processing the objects and identifying them. Applications: This system can be used for Indian roads scenario since there is no proper lane marking system and there is always a chance to get many disturbances in the images. This system can be more developed into a constant evolving model where the processed objects can be stored within and keeps on integrating the data set.
