In the clinic of various diseases (especially hematological) Budd-Chiari syndrome occupies a signifi cant place. The occurrence of blood fl ow disorders in the portal vein system can be a manifestation and the only symptom that manifests itself in a number of diseases. Given the rapid development of portal hypertension, this syndrome requires rapid diagnosis and timely initiated therapeutic measures, as well as comprehensive research to identify the etiological cause of Budd-Chiari syndrome.Objectives: In this paper we demonstrated a clinical case of a young patient with Budd-Chiari syndrome, an unusual course and a combination of etiological factors.Materials and methods. Data from the medical history of the patient who was on treatment at the surgical department of the City Multi-profile Hospital № 2, Military-medical Academy St. Petersburg were used as materials.Result. The patient developed severe ascites 3 months after delivery, for which she was unsuccessfully examined by gynecologists to exclude ovarian tumors. Then, in the course of laboratory and instrumental studies, a final diagnosis was made of Budd-Chiari syndrom (thrombosis of the intrahepatic part of the inferior vena cava in the phase of partial recanalization against the background of chronic myeloproliferative disease and genetically determined thrombophilia.Conclusion: As this case shows, in the development of non-cirrhotic portal hypertension, it is necessary to exclude hepatic thrombosis, in the detection of which it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive examination to exclude all causes of this thrombosis (genetic analysis for thrombophylia, antiphospholipid syndrome, Jak-2 v617f for exclude polycythemia and myelofi brosis, examination for cancer pathology). Manifestation and the only symptom of thrombophilia and idiopathic myelofi brosis may be acute Budd-Chiari syndrome, which requires complex medical and surgical treatment, further observation and especially treatment of causal diseases.

The correlation of the chemical composition, the structure, and the microwave characteristic of solid solutions of the BaFe12 – xDxO19 (0.1 ≤ x ≤ 1.2) barium hexaferrite substituted with diamagnetic Al3+ and In3+ ions has been studied. The precise data on the crystal structure have been obtained by powder neutron diffraction using a high-resolution Fourier diffractometer (Dubna, JINR). The data on the distribution of the diamagnetic substituting ions in the hexaferrite structure have been obtained by Mossbauer spectroscopy. The microwave properties (the transmittance and the reflectance) have been studied in the frequency range 20–65 GHz and in external magnetic fields to 8 kOe. It is found that the transmission spectra are characterized by a peak that corresponds to the resonant frequency of the electromagnetic energy absorption, which is due to the ferromagnetic resonance phenomenon. The correlation of the chemical composition, the features of the ion distribution in the structure, and the electromagnetic properties has been revealed. It is shown that external magnetic fields shift the absorption peak of electromagnetic radiation to higher frequencies due to an increase in the magnetocrystal anisotropy. The results enable the conclusion that the features of the intrasublattice interactions and the electromagnetic properties should be explained using the phenomenological Goodenough–Kanamori model.

The crystal structure of solid solutions of an M-type hexagonal barium ferrite BaFe1–x Ga x O19 (x = 0.1–1.2) with the isostructural diamagnetic substitution of Ga3+ ions has been studied by X-ray diffraction. The unit cell parameters have been calculated for all compositions. The field and temperature dependences of the specific magnetization of these solid solutions have been measured by vibrational magnetometry. The microwave properties of BaFe12–x Ga x O19 (x = 0.1–1.2) have been studied in a bias field. It has been shown that the frequency of natural ferromagnetic resonance decreases as the Ga concentration increases from x = 0.1 to x = 0.6 and it increases once again as the Ga concentration increases to x = 1.2. As the Ga concentration increases, the natural ferromagnetic resonance lines broaden. This indicates an increase in the frequency range of strong absorption of electromagnetic radiation. In this case, the amplitude of the resonance curve peak changes insignificantly. The frequency shift of the natural ferromagnetic resonance in an external magnetic field increases as the gallium ion concentration in the sample decreases.

X-ray powder diffraction is used to determine the unit cell parameters and to refine the crystal structure of the solid solutions of M-type hexagonal barium ferrite BaFe12–x Ga x O19 (x = 0.1–1.2) with isostructural diamagnetic cation Ga3+ substitution at T = 300 K. As the level of substitution increases, the unit cell parameters are shown to decrease monotonically. The temperature (300 K ≤ T ≤ 750 K, H = 8.6 kOe) and field (T = 300 K,–20 kOe ≤ H ≤ 20 kOe) dependences of the saturation magnetization of these solid solutions are studied with a vibrating-sample magnetometer. The concentration dependences of the Curie temperature T C, the specific spontaneous magnetization, and the coercive force are plotted. The magnetic parameters are found to decrease with increasing substitution. The microwave properties of the solid solutions are analyzed in an external magnetic field (0 ≤ H ≤ 4 kOe). As the cation Ga3+ concentration increases from x = 0.1 to 0.6, the natural ferromagnetic resonance (NFMR) frequency decreases; as the concentration increases further to x = 1.2, this frequency again increases. As the cation Ga3+ concentration increases, the NFMR line width increases, which indicates a widening of the frequency range where electromagnetic radiation is intensely absorbed. Here, the resonance curve peak amplitude changes insignificantly. The shift of the NFMR frequency in an applied magnetic field is more pronounced for samples with low cation Ga3+ concentrations. The role of diamagnetic substitution is revealed, and the prospects and advantages of Ga-substituted beryllium hexaferrite as the material absorbing high-frequency electromagnetic radiation are demonstrated.

Data on the frequency of peripheral Treg cells, their functional activity, as well as their relationship to changes in characteristics of cellular immunity in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC, n=42) and healthy donors (n=34) are presented in the article. Assessment of the expression of molecular markers of lymphocytes was performed by multicolor flow cytometry. It was shown that the number of these cells is significantly increased in CRC patients (p0,05). Probably CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ Treg cells may play a more substantial role in the periphery during the initial period of tumor formation, whereas CD8+FOXP3+ Treg cells are important in the later stages of the disease. In CRC patients, the increase of the functional activity of Treg cells (CD4+CD25+CD127lo/‘) on the expression of inhibitory molecules CTLA-4 and the marker of cell proliferation Ki-67 was observed. In patients with CRC, the frequency of peripheral Treg cells and the expression level of CTLA-4 were inversely correlated with the number of CD3+CD4+ T-helper cells.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory rheumatic disease, associated with a dysfunction of the T cell-mediated tolerance and leading to the disability of working population. The regulatory CD4 + T cells are play important role in the regulation of autoimmunity and can suppress immune responses. With that, there is no consensus on the content of these lymphocytes and their role in the pathogenesis of RA. Objective: The aim of the study was to assess the content of peripheral blood regulatory T cells (Treg) according to the expression of membrane markers CD4, CD25, CD127 and intracellular FOXP3 marker , as well as the expression of two functional molecules (CTLA-4 and CCR4) in Treg cells of patients with RA. Methods: Peripheral blood samples of RA patients (mean age 61,1±10,5) and healthy controls (mean age 52,2±14,0) were analyzed. Cell count and the expression level of molecules were assessed by flow cytometry. Results: Peripheral blood samples of 36 RA patients and 20 healthy donors were analyzed. The number of the cells with Treg-associated phenotypes CD4 + CD25 hi and CD4 + CD25 hi CD127 low/– was higher in RA patients in comparison with healthy donors. Increased levels of RA CD4 + T cells expressing FOXP3 were also observed. This may be due to increasing in the number of CD4 + FOXP3 + CD25 - lymphocytes, whereas the content of RA CD4 + FOXP3 + CD25 + Treg cells was at the level of the control. The expression of the functional molecule CTLA-4 in Treg cells of patients with RA was not different from the control, while the expression level of the chemokine receptor CCR4, which provides migration of lymphocytes at sites of inflammation and barrier tissues, was significantly increased in RA patients. Conclusion: Increase in the levels of certain Treg-associated lymphocyte populations were detected in peripheral blood of RA patients. During the natural course of RA, alterations in the level of the chemokine receptor CCR4 might indicate the enhanced lymphocyte migration.

Mechanisms of Black Sea peloid (therapeutical mud) modification using the colloid-chemical, microbiological, and balneal methods were considered, analyzed, and additionally studied, and influence of such modifications on peloid composition balneal properties was showed. Geomechanical, microbiological, and nanochemical mechanisms and features of clay-carbonate peloids’ formation processes aided with nanoparticles and nanostructures (formed by additions of calcite, natural and burnt bentonites) have been discussed. Thermal and mechanochemical treatment was used to get nanoparticles, and XRD, SEM, rheological, and microbiological methods were used for colloid-chemical and balneological investigations. Theoretical analysis of physicochemical geomechanics’ laws in terms of peloid formation processes in conjunction with results of its experimental testing showed that dispersion processes of clay-carbonate (silicate) system (preliminary grinded) are being accelerated under influence of water, aqueous solutions, and microorganism waste products. And nanoparticle formation in conditions of intensive mechanical loads and chemical transformations attend these processes. Microbiological investigations showed that tested peloids have the ability for self-purification and regeneration of its composition, and they are high-bactericide ones. It was shown that influence of clay additions on peloid bioactivity goes due to formation of nanoparticles. It was shown that the presence of nanoparticles in clay-carbonate peloids containing saline water (brine) and CO2 from air can substantially affect colloid-chemical properties and balneological activity of peloid compositions, and the generalized scheme of colloid-chemical background of such influence was presented. Correlation has been determined between nanochemical transformations, colloid-chemical properties, and balneal activity in dependence of the fact that such compositions are in thermodynamically isolated or in thermodynamically opened system.

Assessment of changes in lymphocyte number and some indicators of the immune suppression (frequency of regulatory T cells (Treg), the level of expression of CTLA-4 (cytolytic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4) and interleukin (IL)-10) in patients with acute pancreatitis (AP).Peripheral blood samples of 21 patients with AP (including 11 patients with pancreatic necrosis (PN)) were studied for analysis of lymphocyte subsets and 11 blood samples of healthy donors were estimated as control. Evaluation of the expression of molecules of lymphocytes was carried out by flow cytometry.It was found that percentage of CD3+ T cells and their subpopulation of CD4+ T-helper cells in patients with AP were decreased as compared to the control group. Substantial changes were observed in patients with PN: together with decrease in the number of T cells, CD19+ B cells and CD4+ CD25+ activated T-helper cells were also reduced, and the percentage of CD8+ T cells was higher. The immunoregulatory index (CD4+/CD8+) was lower in the group of patients, than in control group. The frequency of Treg cells (CD4+ CD25hi and CD4+ CD25+ CD127lo) was higher in patients with AP than in the control. The expression level of the inhibitory molecule CTLA-4 in the subset of CD4+ CD25hi Treg cells in patients with AP was also increased. Moreover, it was found that the expression level of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 was higher in T-helper cells from patients with AP.Changes in cellular immunity (especially patients with PN) werefound in patients wish AP. These changes may indicate the possible development of secondary immunodeficiency. This is probably related to the generation of immune suppression, since the values of the investigated parameters (frequency of Treg cells, the expression of CTLA-4 and IL-10) in patients with AP were higher than in controls.

We suggest an elementary example of a simplest starlike graph that shows that the analytical disjunction may occur not on only at isolated points of the spectral parameter, but also on whole intervals. Bibliography: 1 title.

We study the spectrum of the perturbed shift operator \(T:f(n) \mapsto f(n + 1) + a(n)f(n)\) on the space \(\ell ^2 (Z)\) assuming that the set of values of the function a(n) is finite. It is shown that if the values of a(n) are distributed on the axis Z with a uniform “frequency,” then the essential part of the spectrum fills a generalized lemniscate. Bibliography: 9 titles.

The spectral analysis of the Schrodinger operator on cubic lattice type graphs is developed. Similarly to the quantum mechanical tight-binding approximation, using the well known concept of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map, asymptotic formulae for localized negative spectral bands of the Schrodinger operator on a periodic metric graph are established. The results are illustrated by numerical calculations.

In this paper, we consider a first-order linear homogeneous difference equation with a periodic coefficient and a complex parameter, \(f(n + 1) + a(n)f(n) = zf(n),n \in \mathbb{Z}\). The set of stability sa of the equation is known to coincide with a lemniscate which is determined by a finite set of values of the coefficient a(n). The function a(n) is a sum of two periodic functions, a(n) = a1(n) + a2(n), where a1 is a fixed function and a2 is a sum of shifts of a given finite function. By analogy with the quantum solid state theory, the asymptotic behavior of the set sa is discussed as the period of the function a2 tends to infinity. Bibliography: 14 titles.

Influence of colloid-chemical and nanochemical processes (aided with nanoparticles of montmorillonite and calcium carbonate which are containing in bentonites) on compositions from ferrous clays and deepwater marine clay-containing peloids (used as medical muds) were examined. XRD, SEM, and rheological methods were used for colloid-chemical investigations and a method of testing biological activity of peloids and peloid compositions on white Wistar rats was used for balneological studies. It is shown that natural bentonite which consists of 90 % of montmorillonite, 4 % of CaCO3 and 6 % of quartz sand has almost no influence on their balneological properties. Otherwise, addition up to 15 % of burnt at 600 °C bentonite increases balneological activity of peloid compositions in 2–3 times. It occurs due to formation of nano- and microparticles during rehydration processes. Same influence on peloid composition balneological properties is shown for nanoparticles of calcium carbonate. But on the other hand, carbonate and montmorillonite microparticles included in bentonite composition has almost no influence on balneal indexes of peloids. The mechanisms of studied processes are discussed in the article below.

We show that the description of Carleson measures on the Bergman space of analytic functions on a finitely connected domain G with a power weight is similar to that for the unit disk iff the complement \(\overline {\mathbb{C}} \backslash G\) is an unbounded set without isolated points. We study the possibilities of the method of laser diagnostics of the composition of multicomponent electrolytic solutions. In our experiments, we used a four-mirror phase-retarded interferometer operating at three wavelengths from the visible range. For three-component solutions of chloride salts, we determined partial sensitivities of the measuring system to changes in the concentrations of each electrolyte for each of the indicated wavelengths.

We consider a one-dimensional Schrodinger operator with a periodic potential constructed as the sum of the shifts of a given complex-valued potential q that decreases at infinity. Mathematical justification of the tight-binding approximation method is presented. Let λ0 be an isolated eigenvalue of the Schrodinger operator with a potential q. Then, for the corresponding operator with a periodic potential, a continuous spectrum exists in the neighborhood of λ0. The asymptotic behavior of this part of the spectrum as the period increases infinitely is studied for the cases of one- and two-dimensional invariant subspaces corresponding to λ0.

In recent years, the attention of researchers of various specialties is increasingly attracted by diseases and syndromes associated with impaired secretion of prolactin (PRL). The isolation of PRL as an independent hormone from the human pituitary gland occurred relatively recently - in 1970. This event in subsequent years significantly changed the idea of ​​the regulation of reproductive function and the origin of infertility in women and men. It turned out that excessive secretion of PRL, which previously had a modest role as a lactation regulator in the postpartum period, is responsible for more than 25% of cases of menstrual irregularities, hypogonadism, and infertility. The accumulated clinical and experimental data showed that an impared secretion of PRL and the symptoms associated with this pathology occurs both in the primary lesion of prolactin-secreting structures, and in various other endocrine and non-endocrine diseases, as well as when taking some pharmacological drugs. These data formed the basis of the modern concept of primary hyperprolactinemia as an independent nosological unit and its secondary forms observed in other diseases. One of these diseases is primary hypothyroidism (PG). For the first time, the relationship of lactorrhea and hypothyroidism was noted by W. Jackson, who described the case of the development of persistent lactorrhea in a patient after thyroidectomy. He also suggested that thyroidectomy stimulates the secretion of lactotrophic hormone. The combination of PG with lactorrhea-amenorrhea is known in the literature as Van Wyk-Ross-Hennes syndrome. The isolation of this clinical variant was based on the general idea of ​​the relationship between hyperprolactinemia induced by PG and sexual disorders dominating this syndrome.

It is believed that thyroid cancer is quite rare, accounting for less than 1% of the total number of malignant tumors in the population in all countries of the world. However, studies in recent years have revealed a significant increase in the incidence of thyroid cancer and its pronounced geographical differences. Therefore, while in Japan it is 0.5 per 100,000 of the population for men and 1.9-3.0 per 100,000 of the population for women, in Norway it is 2.0 and 5.8 per 100,000 of the population, respectively. In addition, there was information about the high frequency of the latent thyroid cancer. In Japan, in particular, latent thyroid cancer is found in 5.6–35.6% of autopsies included in the statistics. We are talking about random finds in people who died from non-endocrine diseases. The clinical significance of latent cancer is still unknown. This is evidence that malignant tumors of the thyroid gland are not a rare disease and are often not diagnosed during the patient’s life.

ESR spectroscope was used to study the interaction between magnetite particles and organic molecules in model systems and real luminescent magnetic powder compositions. Ferric compounds localized on the magnetite surface are very labile and the introduction of organic compounds such as 1,2-naphthoylene 1′,2′-benzimidazole or DMF leads to a change in their electronic structure and the geometry of the environment. The observed changes presumably result from a coordination interaction of Fe(III) sites with organic compounds in the mechanical mixture. The role of vibrational interactions of the dye molecules and the oxygen sublattice in Fe3O4 in these processes was discussed.

The asymptotic estimations, as period tends to infinity, for negative spectral bands of three‐dimensional periodical Schrodinger operator who’s potential was generated by shifting along the cubic lattice of a negative function with compact support are described herein. The problem is of primary importance for solid state physics.

The measuring device designed for measurement of own radio-thermal radiation of biological objects in radio frequency range is proposed. The practical estimation of the device resolving power for the spectral power density, confirming the device applicability for the study of biological objects, is done.

Experimental and calculated data on the interaction of solid particles with the wall of a conveying pipe are presented.

In analyzing the stress-strain state of components made of piezoceramic materials it is necessary to take into account the effect of different heterogeneities because they act as raisers of mechanical and electrical fields. The method proposed by A.I. Lur`e represents a suitable tool in this case. In this work, homogeneous solutions are used for examining conjugate electrical and mechanical fields in a layer weakened by tunneling cracks. Integral assumptions are made for electrical and mechanical components form the fields. The boundary problem is reduced to an infinite system of unidemensional singular integral equations. The numerical realization of the system is carried out by the reduction method. The results of calculating the stress intensity factors are presented. 8 refs., 3 figs.

Expression of activation antigens increased in patients with gastrointestinal tumors of various clinical courses. The count of CD25+ and CD71+ lymphocytes was high in patients with favorable course of non-progressive tumors. The increase in the expression of activation markers probably reflects adequate functional activity of the immune system in patients with tumors.

A discussion is given of the principles of constructing an infrared transducer permitting the spatial resolution to be increased by using the whole IR-sensitive area of the receiving film, and the information signal to be picked off by two busbars, regardless of the number of signal-forming elementary receiving areas on the photosensitive surface, also permitting the elementary receivers to be interrogated in any required manner, and to form a superconducting channel of the configuration excluding the interrogation of defective elementary receivers.

At Krasnoyarsk Metallurgical Plant a method of vibropressing large shaped blocks for lining of the removable induction units of IAK-40 furnaces on a V-21 machine developed by the All-Russia Refractory Institute has been introduced. The method makes it possible to mechanize the laborious process of production of refractory parts, to increase labor productivity, and significantly improve working conditions.

Objective. To study the content of the suppressor population of regulatory T cells (T reg ) according to the expression of CD4, CD25, CD127 molecules, as well as the expression of two functional molecules (CTLA-4 and CD39) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Material and methods. 16 samples of peripheral blood of RA patients and 10 blood samples of healthy donors were analyzed. All patients received disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs. The expression level of all studied molecules was assessed by flow cytofluorometry. Results. The content of T-helpers in peripheral blood of RA patients was 36.3 ± 7.1% of the total number of lympho- cytes and was lower than that in the control (43.8 ± 6.2%, p

Normalization of the baseline level of aldosterone in the blood, and of the reaction of the glomerular zone of the cortical substance of the adrenal glands and the juxtaglomerular apparatus of the kidneys, does not take place under the influence of conventional symptomatic treatment in NEMHS patients. 2. Treatment of NEMHS patients with peritol leads to normalization of the concentration of aldosterone in the blood; the reaction of the glomerular zone of the cortical substance of the adrenal glands and of the juxtaglomerular apparatus of the kidneys to both stimulators improves substantially. 3. The blood aldosterone concentration normalizes following the course of treatment with parlodel, while the reaction of the glomerular zone of the cortical substance of the adrenal glands and of the juxtaglomerular apparatus of the kidneys to insulin hypoglycemia does not change, while the reaction to an acute load of furosemide improves.
