To improve results of treatment of patients with purulent wounds of soft tissues of various etiology and location.Developed method of local treatment was used in patients with purulent wounds of soft tissues. Efficacy of the treatment was evaluated with clinical, cytological, bacteriologic and bacterioscopic methods.When proposed antibacterial drugs were used, cleaning of wounds in inflammatory phase procedea 2 times faster compared to local treatment with standard drugs. Collagen wound covering Lioplast promoted in phases of regeneration and epithelisation 1.5 times faster reparative processes in the wound and prevention of secondary contamination of the wound.This method permits to improve results of treatment and to shorten hospital stay of patients.

Experiments for optimization of the clfA gene expression in E. coli XLI-Blue cells were conducted. The reducing of the strain efficiency and the elimination of the plasmid during the cultivation of a producer have been shown. Several methods for raising the amount of plasmid-containing cells and increasing the yield of recombinant protein were proposed. Bacterial growth medium was selected to make this process more efficient. In such conditions after IPTG induction of the recombinant cells we have received high level of a soluble protein (about 30% of total cellular protein). The recombinant protein containing the His tag on N-terminus was purified on IDA-Sepharose column with high yield.

Two methods of constructing computer programs for spectral analysis are described. One of these methods, based on the approximation of spectral line intensity by power monomials in the concentrations of all components of the material under analysis, has been used to construct an all-purpose computer program. This program has been tested successfully in the solution of spectral analysis problems on a BESM-2M computer.

Blastomogenic activity of p-hydroxyphenyllactic acid was established by prolonged s.c. administration into C57BL/6 and CC57BR mice. Phenyllactic acid was also tested and was not blastomogenic under the same conditions. The preparations in aqueous solutions were injected into the dorsal region twice weekly in 1.5-mg doses. The total dose per mouse was 42 mg p-hydroxyphenyllactic acid or 50 mg phenyllactic acid. The resorptive character and many forms of blastomogenic activity of p-hydroxphenyllactic acid were shown. It induced neoplasms of varied histogenesis (leukemias, adenomas, hepatomas, and tumors of the vascular tissue),including benign and malignant tumors and precancerous conditions of the urniary bladder.

Homovanillic acid (HVA) was determined both in 45 patients with different forms of melanoma and those hospitalized on the suspicion of melanoma and in 15 healthy persons. Excretion rate of homovanillic acid within the normal limits was observed in patients with benign melanotic neoplasms of the skin (4.4 +/- 0.56 mg/24 hr) and in local forms of melanotic melanoma of the skin (4.5 +/- 0.24 mg/24 hr). In patients with metastases to regional nodes as well as in patients with locally disseminated forms of melanotic melanoma of the skin the concentration of homovanillic acid increased up to 11.1 +/- 0.93 mg/24 hr. Especially strong concentration of homovanillic acid was registered in patients with disseminated malanotic melanoma of the skin, and it made up 15.7 +/- 2.04 mg/24 hr. There was evident tendency to the elevation of HVA excretion level as generalization of the process which was taking place. The data obtained enable the authors to recommend the determination of HVA excretion as an additional diagnostic test as well for prognosis of melanoma development together with other clinicomorphological data.
