In the article, the authors examined the problematic aspects of project management; the study focuses on the optimization of the crew of the vessel — the project team based on the concept method. Within the framework of the approach proposed by the authors, a model has been developed for the formation of the crew of the vessel — the project team, which allows one to identify its composition, the most suitable and stable (balanced) for managing a specific project in terms of its competence, complementarity of crew members on the vessel (synergism) and its psychological characteristics. The use of the project management system implies the creation of a special group, the crew of a ships (project team), which becomes an independent participant of the project and manages the process of sending and forming the crew of the vessel within the project being implemented. This group is created for the period of project implementation and after its completion it is dissolved. Human resource planning — an estimate of the size and composition of human resources in the future. The project team is the main creative component of creating the end product or service in the projects. The project team is a group of employees who work directly on the project and are subordinate to the project manager. Unfortunately, there is no adequate model and method that would allow simultaneous optimization of the composition of personnel, teams, crew. The use of deterministic models and methods in solving our problem is ineffective, since there is an inability to predict the entire list of works when planning teams of projects, crews.

Geological-structural and petrological data acquired by the authors on the most widely spread metamorphic associations of the Belomorian Mobile Belt in northern Karelia, Russia, indicate that the rocks belong to five age groups (0–IV), which were produced by metamorphism of protoliths of different composition and genesis. The Paleoproterozoic metamorphic associations were formed by three successive metamorphic episodes, which corresponded to discrete evolutionary episodes of the Lapland–Karelian Orogen. The first episode of Paleoproterozoic metamorphism was high-pressure transformations that produced steep zones of ductile flow of submeridional and northeastern trend. The second episode was high-temperature metamorphism at intermediate and high pressure, which was triggered by the development of gently sloped ductile flow zones and tectonic melange of roughly latitudinal trend. The third metamorphic episode involved amphibolization of the rocks during high-temperature decompression cooling and was likely related to the development of randomly oriented fractures when the rocks of the Belomorian Mobile Belt were brought to middle and upper crustal levels. Each of the episodes was characterized by different P–T parameters of metamorphism, which are recorded in the compositions of the rock-forming minerals. The former two episodes corresponded to the prograde metamorphic evolution, and the third one was a retrograde evolution. The beginning of the first episode was responsible for the origin of amphibolites at Т = 560–640°C and Р = 6.7–9.5 kbar, with the metamorphic peak producing eclogites at Т = 600–690°C and Р = 11.3–12.9 kbar and eclogite-like rocks at higher temperatures of Т = 650–780°C and Р = 10.3–13.0 kbar. The peak of the second metamorphic episode corresponded to the origin of abundant plagiomigmatite leucosomes, which were formed within a broad temperature range (640–840°C) and a narrow pressure range (9.0–11.9 kbar). The widespread amphibolization of the metabasites of all types occurred only during the third metamorphic episode, whose P–T parameters broadly varied: 590–740°C and Р = 7.5–10.8 kbar. All dike varieties of the complex of eclogitized garnet metagabbro were formed at the metamorphic peak at the same P–T parameters as the host metamorphic rocks in the corresponding structures: metagabbro I was formed in steep ductile flow zones, and metagabbro II was produced in the gently sloped zones.

The paper studies redistribution of alloying elements (Al, V, Mo) in the pseudo-alpha-titanium structure under graded stretching until destruction of the sample. Local sections of the titanium structure and of the fracture surface have been scanned by electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis. The change in the chemical and phase composition of the alloy has been compared with the initial state stimulated by deformation impact. The structural-phase state of the material under high plastic strains is metastable, fixed by the system of deformation defects of the crystal lattice.

The low-angle dip schistosity zones of the Belomorian mobile belt of northern Karelia are zones of plastic flow of thrust origin. They were formed from 1.85 to 1.90 Ga: 1879 ± 21 Ma according to 40Ar/39Ar for amphibole from amphibolites and 1857 ± 13 Ma according to the Sm–Nd isochron in amphibolites. The P–T parameters of rock metamorphism in low-angle dip schistosity zones correspond to the boundary of amphibolite and granulite facies of metamorphism: T = 640–765°C, rarely rising to 826°C; P = 8.0–11.7 kbar. The hypothesis of the two-stage Paleoproterozoic metamorphism of rocks of the Belomorian mobile belt was introduced.

Soils of low-mountain landscapes in the northwest of Karelia have been studied. The soil cover of the studied area is mainly represented by Al–Fe-humus soils (Podzols); thin soils (Leptosols) are widespread. Characteristic morphological features of all the studied soils are relatively shallow profiles, high stone content, and underlying by hard bedrock with fine earth material in crevices between large boulders. The studied soils have the high carbon and low nitrogen content, which points to unfavorable conditions of organic matter transformation. The content of most macro- and microelements is not high, which is typical for soils of the region; the content of copper and zinc exceeds the regional background two–three times. Regularities of the vertical zonality in the properties of soils of mountain ecosystems manifest themselves in decreasing thickness of the soil profile at higher altitude above sea level in parallel to decreasing thickness of the layer of loose rocks, while the stone content increases. In soils of the forest-tundra zone, the organomineral horizon with the high organic matter content is formed immediately under the forest litter. The litter horizon is the soils of this zone is characterized by increased concentrations of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc.

The Belomorian Mobile Belt (BMB) in northern Karelia mostly consists of gently sloping shear zones, whose gneisses and migmatized amphibolites and blastomylonites are typically thinly banded, with their banding consistently dipping north- and northeastward. These gently sloping shear zones were not affected by folding after they were produced and are not cut by Paleoproterozoic metabasite dikes. The main results of the complex investigations of properties of high-strength weldable pseudo-α titanium alloys of the compositions 6%Al, 1.5%V, 1.0%Mo, 0.5%Zr, 0.1%C and 6%Al, 2.0%Mo, 0.5%Zr, 0.1%C, which determine their efficient use in components and units of transport steam-turbine plants, are considered. The strength margins of titanic components of the power equipment are estimated.

Data on the localization of eclogitized mafic bodies in steeply and superposed gently dipping ductile shear zones in the area of Gridino village are considered. The process of eclogitization in steeply dipping ductile shear zones, which affect basites of rootless bodies (fragments of tectonic melange) and dikes, was determined by deformations. Such a relation between them is most evident in narrow ductile shear zones that cross Early Proterozoic (age of ca. 2.4 Ga) gabbronorite dikes. Gabbronorites involved in deformations of ductile shear zones experienced eclogitization, reflected in the total recrystallization of magmatic minerals with the formation of equilibrium high-pressure mineral parageneses, ordered metamorphic textures, and linear strain patterns. Synchronous metamorphic transformations in gabbronorites, which avoided plastic deformations and retained massive structures (in wall rocks of shear zones) resulted in the formation of reaction coronas at the boundaries of magmatic mineral grains. Younger Fe gabbro dikes, localized in steeply dipping ductile shear zones, which cross gabbronorite dikes, are totally eclogitized. This determines the temporal lag between the formation of gabbonorite dikes and eclogitization in steeply dipping ductile shear zones and indicates its Svecofennian age. As in steeply dipping ductile shear zones, eclogitized basites constituting rootless bodies in their gently dipping counterparts are characterized by ordered metamorphic textures indicating the deformation nature of eclogitization. Gently dipping ductile shear zones are never crossed by Early Proterozoic basite dikes, although they contain boudins of them, which implies the younger (Svecofennian) age of these zones. The absence of eclogitization features in flat ferruginous basite bodies, which take part in the structure of gently dipping ductile shear zones and demonstrate orientation of metamorphic structures similar to that of gneisses, indicates that bodies of eclogitized basites were involved into these zones after eclogitization. An Archean age of these seems unlikely, since rootless bodies of eclogitized basites are never crossed by Proterozoic basite dikes in the study area. The textural data imply the deformation nature and Svecofennian age of eclogitized basites of the area of Gridino village.

New data from isotope geochronology (U-Pb, Sm-Nd) petrological study provide evidence of the Svecofennian age (∼1.9 Ga) for eclogitization in the Fe-gabbro dyke inductile shear zones of Gridinrea. P-T estimates of eclogitization were computed using the THERIAK/DOMINO software. A close timing relationship between dyke magmatism and eclogitization is inferred.

The considered part of ductile shear zones, which are widespread in the area of the village of Gridino in the central part of the Belomorian Mobile Belt, is accompanied by the high-temperature eclogitization of basites. The paper reports examples of eclogitization in rocks of various age, mostly in rocks of the Early Proterozoic lherzolite-gabbronorite and coronite gabbro complexes. The degrees of structural and mineralogical transformations in unequally deformed bodies of gabbronorites and olivine gabbronorites of the lherzolite-gabbronorite complex are correlated with the degrees of deformations of these rocks and their fluid recycling. The relatively weakly deformed rocks have massive and apomagmatic textures with garnet and omphacite reaction rims at boundaries between grains of magmatic plagioclase and pyroxenes. These rims are typical of the domainal equilibrium stage, which is an intermediate eclogitization stage between a magmatic rock and completely equilibrated eclogite. The enhancement of rock deformation results in the development of equilibrium eclogite with anisotropic metamorphic textures and structures. Textural transformations simultaneous with intense deformations are manifested involved the recrystallization of magmatic minerals and the development of linear fine-grained mineral aggregates of the Pl-Opx-Grt-Omp eclogite mineral assemblage and the systematically oriented growth of much larger mineral neoblasts in amphibole eclogite assemblages.

Design and characteristics are considered for two equipments providing for measurement of mass, center of mass coordinates, and moments of inertia for an item of cylindrical form. The measurement methods are given and estimates are made of the errors.
