Steel frameworks are widely used construction of multistory buildings for different purposes. In the practical framework calculations, the girder-column joint connections are taken as either absolutely rigid or hinged ones. The analysis of the actual behaviour of the frame joint connections shows that they normally occupy an intermediate position in the joints classification into "rigid" and "hinged" ones, i.e. they have certain pliability. Such pliability is characterized by different grades of stiffness that depends on a specific design solution of a joint. Therefore, to avoid possible material errors, the statistical calculations of frames should consider layouts with the joints that are able to support the corresponding amount of bending moments. This article contains the results of experimental and theoretical research of the actual behaviour of the girder-column connection semi-rigid joints using ABAQUS 6.13 computing complex, which enables us to solve problems by the finite elements method with due regard to the geometrical and physical nonlinearity. We consider the design of a beam-to-column connection with connecting elements in the form of paired vertical angles bolted to the beam wall and to the column flange. Based on the comparative analysis of the results of the numerical analysis and on the experimental data, the actual behaviour of the structure has been found and the stiffness of the joint type to be considered has been determined.

Background. A lutjanid recently captured in Flores Island represents the first documented record of a snapper for the Azores Islands. Since this specimen was not made available to us besides photographs and a muscle sample, a genetic study approach was necessary in order to accurately describe and discuss this somewhat unexpected occurrence. The main objective of this paper was to explain and discuss the presence of this single specimen in this part of the north-eastern Atlantic. Materials and methods. The specimen was caught by spear fishers on 30 July 2014 off Flores Island. We analysed all available photographs and a sample of muscle tissue that was taken and preserved frozen to be used for DNA barcoding. Results. The specimen was a reproductively mature female with a total length of 108.7 cm and weighing 14.84 kg. The body depth of the specimen from the Azores was 2.9 in SL and the analyses conducted showed no divergence from the Canary Islands specimen reported by García-Mederos and Tuset (2014) as Lutjanus dentatus (Duméril, 1861) with the body depth of 2.5 in SL, which demonstrates that this character is highly variable and not useful for species identification. Conclusion. The snapper specimen from the Island of Flores is a Lutjanus cyanopterus (Cuvier, 1828) and confirmed as first record for this part of the north-eastern Atlantic. Comparisons with a L. dentatus from the Canary Islands point towards synonymy although the available molecular evidence is too scarce and by no means conclusive.

Розглянуто особливості поширення та динаміку розвитку осередків хвороб і шкідників у лісах Рівненської обл. Висвітлено основні проблеми та тенденції санітарного стану лісів та наведено характеристику осередків шкідників і хвороб лісу для Рівненського ОУЛМГ. З метою охорони та захисту лісів під час ведення лісового господарства потрібно встановлювати і здійснювати комплекс санітарно-оздоровчих заходів і санітарних вимог. Санітарно-оздоровчі заходи є частиною профілактичних заходів, які проводять лісокористувачі для збереження стійкості насаджень, запобігання розвиткові патологічних процесів у лісі, зниження шкоди, якої завдають шкідники, хвороби, стихійні природні явища та техногенні впливи.

Purpose: to analyze special aspects of 12-14 yrs children’s psychological protection’s manifestations. Material: In the research children of 12 years (n= 5), 13 years (n=7) and 14 years (n=13) participated. Results: The greatest quantity of correlations was observed between compensation and hyper-compensation with other kinds of psychological protection. It was found that projection is the most frequently used by children psychological protection mechanism. It is observed in 76.7% of children. Second place is taken by refusal (50.9%). On third place stands compensation (50%) and hyper-compensation (50%). The greatest quantity of interdependent correlations we received between compensation and other kinds of psychological protection (5 correlations) and projection (4 correlations). Conclusions: Children’s behavior can be regarded from the point of their emotional sphere, conscious and not conscious behavioral manifestations of this sphere. We give information to school psychologists about psychological everyday state of children. This information will help to understand the reason of de-adaptation or difficulties’ emersion in children’s life as well as permit to find appropriate means of work with problems and their correction.

Ventilated facade systems are widely used in the buildings of various functionalities. In the paper the research results on thermal insulation properties of ventilated facade systems are represented. Two constructive systems were considered – traditional widespread in practice and new system developed by authors. In the new system vertical profiles are replaced by perforated tapes made of anti-corrosion steel and granite tiles are fastened to the supporting structure in the nodal points. Numerical thermal analysis of two described systems was carried out using software TEPL. Solution of three-dimensional steady-state conductivity was obtained in the program. The values of thermal resistance and thermal uniformity coefficient of the structures were compared. The new system has better thermal insulation properties (higher value of thermal resistance) than traditional one.
