Based on our scientific and methodological principles of creating electrolyte suspensions, which include insoluble, solid nanoparticles of a different nature, the graphene-like carbon (GC) modification of ceramic coatings (CC) formed by microarc oxidation (MAO) on silumin containing up to 13 wt.% Si was carried out. It is established that the GC, introduced into basic silicate-alkaline electrolytes with a concentration of 250–1000 mg/l, intensifies microplasma processes, which is directly confirmed by an increase in the thickness of the CC by 1,2–1,5 times. At the same time, the participation of the GC in the process of coating formation leads to an increase in the content of corundum 2–3 times and, as a consequence, to the microhardness growth up to 24 GPa instead of 16 GPa for unmodified CC. It is also shown that when the GC-nanoparticles are included in the coating composition, their significant influence on the tribotechnical characteristics is revealed: a decrease in the coefficient of friction at loads of 20–50 GPa 1,3–2 times, wear rate 1,3–2,3 times.

Scientific and methodological principles of synthesis of heterophase filler with nanoparticles of SiC, α-Al2O3, Si, Fe are developed on the basis of oxides micropowder and carbide-forming elements. The processed filler, introduced into aluminum melts, provides reinforcement of the aluminum-matrix composites. It is found that the effect of this process is refinement of alloy matrix structure 2–3 times, which leads to increase in the microhardness of the alloy structural phases. It is shown that introduction of 3 wt.% α-phase increases microhardness by 100 MPa and 100–105 MPa at the eutectic point. The samples of the composite material on the base of silumin AK12M2MgN, containing 1–2 wt.% of the composite modifier, have the increased wear resistance 2–4 times higher than the initial alloy samples.

The synthesis of carbide-corundum filler based on titanium oxide by the method of chemical vapor deposition in a reducing atmosphere of ammonia and hydrogen has been investigated. The data analysis shows that the synthesized filler includes nanoscale high-melting compounds — carbide titanium and corundum. It is shown that the introduction of 1 wt.% of this nanofiller is accompanied by the dispersion of the structural components of the alloy not less than 2 times, it provides the microhardness increase of the α-phase by 1,5 times and eutectic by 2 times, the coefficient of friction decrease by 4–8 times, multiple increase of wear resistance of the composites obtained, due to the lack of wear of samples of castings for the entire test cycle of the obtained composites, whereas wear rate of the sample from GK-AlSi12(Cu) alloy at a load of 20 MPa was ~36 mg/m.
