The article reports on histologic changes in the periodontal tissues of rats following tooth movement caused by the application of force to the crowns of molar teeth. In cases where the periodontal ligament was hyalinized, an undermining bone resorption on the pressure side began on the alveolar bone's medullary space surface.

This article discusses the results of a research study conducted to determine the effect of a low concentration stannous fluoride solution used as a mouthwash on reducing tooth decay and the solubility of dental enamel. The efficacy of stannous fluoride is also compared to the efficacy of sodium fluoride to this purpose.

Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the exposure of dental pulp without hemorrhage. Experimentation was performed on laboratory dogs, in which cavities were produced by cutting the dental enamel using a carbide steel bur, deepening the cavity using a Number Eight round bur, and broken through using a blunt instrument in order to expose the dental pulp.
