A ansiedade constitui-se como uma condição fisiológica de proteção individual, no entanto, quando em intensidade elevada, impacta fortemente ao nível do bem-estar e funcionalidade individual. Esta condição é transversal ao individuo com ou sem diagnóstico diferencial de doença do foro mental e a análise da tendência dos últimos anos retrata um evidente aumento da sua prevalência na sociedade, pelo que importa tornar o acesso a cuidados de saúde especializados mais precoce e efetiva, o que poderá passar por alargar o alcance dos cuidados especializados em enfermagem de saúde mental e psiquiátrica. O presente relatório de estágio visa retratar o trajeto de aquisição e desenvolvimento de competências na área de especialização de saúde mental e psiquiátrica, no âmbito do Curso de Especialidade e Mestrado em enfermagem, com enfoque na vivencia da ansiedade. O principal objetivo definido prende-se com desenvolver cuidados especializados à pessoa com doença mental com vista à redução da ansiedade, através de intervenções especializadas centradas no corpo, com recurso ao movimento expressivo e ao relaxamento. Como objetivos específicos foram definidos: compreender a vivencia da ansiedade na pessoa com doença mental; aprofundar a relação terapêutica com a pessoa com doença mental e com ansiedade manifesta; dinamizar intervenções de âmbito psicoterapêutico com vista à redução da ansiedade da pessoa com doença mental e ansiedade com recurso a mediadores centrados no corpo. A componente prática que alicerçou o percurso académico percorrido decorreu em dois contextos clínicos distintos, um com carácter de internamento e outro de âmbito comunitário. Para a aquisição e desenvolvimento das competências preconizadas procurei descrever, analisar e avaliar as intervenções desenvolvidas. Da avaliação das intervenções de âmbito psicoterapêutico implementadas concluiu-se impacto significativo na redução da ansiedade, tanto através de dados subjetivos, obtidos no contacto direto com os participantes, pela sua narrativa, como pela monitorização de indicadores de resultados objetivos obtidos pela aplicação da STAI-Y, avaliação de dados fisiológicos, tais como a TA e FC, e monitorização de indicadores de resultados NOC, relacionados com a ansiedade, estabelecendo uma análise comparativa entre os resultados obtidos no inicio e no final das sessões dinamizadas. Anxiety is a physiological condition of individual protection, however, when at high intensity, it strongly impacts the level of well-being and individual functionality. This condition is transversal to the individual with or without differential diagnosis of mental illness and the analysis of the trend of recent years portrays a clear increase of prevalence in society, so it is importante earlier and more effective access to specialized health care, which may be to extend the scope of mental and psychiatric specialized nursing cares. This internship report aims to portray the path of acquisition and development of competencies in the area of mental and psychiatric health specialization, within the scope of the Specialty course and Master's degree in nursing, focusing on the experience of anxiety. The main objective is to develop specialized care for people with mental illness in order to reduce anxiety, through specialized interventions centered on the body, using expressive movement and relaxation. As specific objectives were defined: understand the experience of anxiety in the person with mental illness; deepen the therapeutic relationship with the person with mental illness and manifest anxiety; to boost psychotherapeutic interventions to reduce the anxiety of people with mental illness and anxiety with the use of body-centered mediators. The practical component that undertook the academic course covered took place in two distinct contexts of clinical practice, one with an internment character and the other of community scope. For the acquisition and development of the competencies recommended will be described, analyzed and evaluated the interventions that had been developed. The evaluation of the psychotherapeutic interventions implemented concluded a significant impact on the reduction of anxiety, both through subjective data obtained in direct contact with participants, by their narrative, and by monitoring indicators of objective results, such as STAI-Y, evaluation of physiological data, AT and FC, and the surveillance of indicatorsof NOC results related to anxiety, establishing a comparative analysis between the results obtained at the beginning and at the end of the sessions.

De forma a refletir se o conhecimento de si por parte do enfermeiro promove o cuidado à puérpera em contexto hospitalar, desenvolveu-se uma Scoping Review com a questão: O conhecimento de si promove o cuidado à puérpera em contexto hospitalar? A pesquisa foi realizada com descritores MeSH, conjugando a expressão de pesquisa: Nursing AND Empowerment AND Communication AND Postpartum period, na base de dados EBSCOhost. Procedeu-se à pesquisa de artigos publicados entre 11/2015 e 11/ 2020. O processo de seleção dos estudos desenvolveu-se de acordo com o PRISMA 2009 Flow Diagram, garantindo assim a qualidade metodológica dos mesmos. Nos resultados obtidos constata-se que os enfermeiros tendem a mobilizar o conhecimento de si, para conseguir prestar cuidados à mulher nesta fase de transição de mulher grávida para puérpera, de modo a que esta vivencie esta transição desenvolvimental de uma forma saudável, promovendo assim uma visão da maternidade positiva., Revista da UI_IPSantarém - Unidade de Investigação do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, Vol. 9 No. 1 (2021): Edição Temática: Ciências da Vida e da Saúde

This thesis considers exact solutions of Newtonian flows linear in one coordinate. In advection-diffusion systems, this flow structure enables the reduction of the governing equations to ordinary differential equations, without discarding nonlinear terms. These provide insight into key features of the flows. We consider steady Boussinesq flow in a weakly curved channel driven by linearly varying temperature gradient in the transverse direction. We seek a solution as a series expansion in G, a parameter proportional to the Grashof number and the square root of the curvature, which reveals a real singularity at some value G = Gc and anticipates multiple solution branches. Analytical continuation extends the convergence circle of the series and unveils non-trivial solutions when our forcing parameter G = 0. Numerical path-continuation extends the bifurcation diagram and gives additional insight into these newly found “unforced” solutions. Two types of solution are found, in one the velocity remains coupled with temperature and the other is purely hydrodynamic. These constitute previously unreported solutions, not only of the Dean equations, but also of the Navier–Stokes in an annulus of arbitrary curvature. Dynamo action is investigated in these circumstances. Magnetic field instabilities with the same spatial structure are sought. The kinematic eigenvalue problem is found to have two growing modes for moderate values of the magnetic Reynolds number, Rm. As Rm → ∞ it is shown that the modes are governed by layers on the outer wall. As the field grows, saturated solutions to the nonlinear dynamo problem are found and the bifurcation structure is investigated. The final problem we investigate is a generalisation to 3−dimensions of the steady, incompressible Falkner-Skan boundary layer equations past a flat plate. The outer flow is an exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. Two distinct self-similar solutions are found numerically and their stability is investigated. Open Access

O presente relatório foi elaborado com o intuito de formar uma compilação de todos os trabalhos desenvolvidos ao longo do estágio curricular em Natação Pura realizado no âmbito da disciplina de Estágio no Mestrado em Treino Desportivo da Faculdade de Motricidade Humana. O estágio decorreu na época 2015/2016 no Clube de Natação Colégio Vasco da Gama sob o acompanhamento da equipa de Juvenis, Juniores e Seniores. No seu decorrer, o papel por mim desenvolvido teve por base a orientação dos treinos realizados no plano de água bem como a componente da preparação física realizada no plano seco. Este relatório está organizado em seis capítulos: introdução do relatório e caracterização do clube e do atleta de estudo, revisão da literatura, avaliação técnica, resumo bibliográfico sobre planeamento e periodização bem como uma análise critica aos dois aspetos com base no trabalho desenvolvido para a equipa, apresentação gráfica e critica aos três macrociclos da época e uma análise das provas que decorreram ao longo da época. O trabalho necessário para a criação deste relatório e todas as situações vividas ao longo do estágio permitiu experienciar de forma próxima o que é exigido aos treinadores; desde o conseguir atingir os objetivos de cada atleta, da equipa, do treinador e do próprio clube. The present report was elaborated with the objective of forming a pile with all the developed works through the curricular internship of Swimming, conducted under the discipline of Internship in Sports Training in the Master’s Degree of the Faculty of Human Kinetics. The internship occurred in the 2015/2016 season in the Club de Natação Colégio Vasco da Gama, monitoring the juvenile, junior and seniors team. In this internship the work that I developed was practice orientation, in the water and on dry land. This report is organized in six chapters: introduction and club and athlete characterization, literature review, technique evaluation, planning and periodization literature summaries as well as critical analyses about these two aspects, graphic and critical presentations of the three macrocycles of the season and an analysis of the competitions that occurred throughout the season.

Muscle diseases, or myopathies, are a group of rare congenital diseases that severely incapacitate the patients and in some cases are fatal. Most of these diseases result from mutations in genes that code for proteins of the sarcomere, the contractile unit of the muscle. In this thesis I studied two groups of myopathies, nemaline and desmin related myopathies. Although markedly distinct myopathies, the general pathological and clinical features are similar, as both nemaline and desmin myopathy patients suffer from muscle weakness and atrophy, and present disrupted muscle fibres with protein aggregates. The aggregates are however different in protein content and shape: nemaline myopathy aggregates are usually rod shaped and electron dense when visualised by electron microscopy, and often contain actin and α-actinin, while desmin myopathy aggregates are irregularly shaped and contain desmin, HSPB5, filamin C, and dystrophin. In some severe cases of nemaline myopathy patients also present with foetal akinesia, a disorder characterised by a reduction or loss of foetal movement, which is fatal in utero or shortly after birth. Nemaline myopathies result from mutations in proteins of the actin-rich thin filaments, but can also result from mutations in a non-structural protein, BTB and kelch domain-containing protein 13 (KBTBD13). KBTBD13 is a member of the BTB and kelch domain-containing family composed of more than 70 members, shown to be involved in ubiquitination of proteins. Here I describe the identification of a member of this family, kelch-like family member 40 (KLHL40), as a foetal akinesia and nemaline myopathy-causing gene. Using a zebrafish knockdown model I confirmed that mutations in KLHL40 disrupt muscle structure and function, consistent with the patients’ pathology. Additionally, I identified three other members of the BTB and kelch domain-containing family to be expressed in the skeletal muscle, klhl31, klhl41a, and klhl40b, and characterised the role of klhl31 in muscle formation and function. Using a knockdown approach I identified klhl31 as a potential nemaline myopathy with akinesia causing gene and proposed a model for how mutations in this family of proteins cause nemaline myopathy. To study the pathobiology of desmin myopathy I generated three zebrafish models expressing desminL345P, desminI451M, and desminS460I. Expression of mutant desmin resulted in the formation of aggregates in the skeletal muscle and presence of mitochondria in the myofibrils, recapitulating the patients’ pathology. Expression of desminS460I resulted in a more severe pathology than in the other transgenic lines, with clear disruption of the muscle fibres, formation of aggregates and Z-disc thickening, and also impaired swimming behaviour, suggesting the pathological features and muscle function may be related. This is the first model for desmin myopathy showing impaired muscle function in vivo. Here I show the generation of zebrafish models for KLHL40 nemaline myopathy with foetal akinesia and three models for desmin myopathy. I also found that loss of klhl31 results in a pathology that resembles nemaline myopathy with foetal akinesia, suggesting that mutations in KLHL31 may also result in this myopathy. These animal models can be used to further understand disease mechanisms and ultimately used to test for compounds that may improve the function of the muscle.
