Abstract

The article discusses the acquirement of head and neck cancer patients on oral mucositis after radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the U.S. It notes the application of FACT quality of life (QOL) scales on measuring the mucositis. It mentions that opioid analgesics do not provide relief to pain. Moreover, it highlights the prevalence of mucositis on cancer patients.
