Zwischen dem Reich der Notwendigkeit und dem Reich der Freiheit unternimmt es Wolfgang Wein, grundlegende Begriffe der Aufklärung in ihrer dringlichen Aktualität zu diskutieren. Dabei wird im Blick auf Vernunft, Freiheit und Universalismus nicht nur deutlich, wie stark wir nach wie vor von der Aufklärung getragen werden, sondern auch, was angesichts der gegenwärtigen Diskussionen der Medienpädagogik als heutige Aufklärung begriffen werden muss.

In seinem zweiteiligen Beitrag untersucht Wolfgang Wein die Gefahren der aktuellen Wissenschaftsfeindlichkeit und bestimmt dabei die Argumentationsstrategien der Antiscience. Dabei steht die Selbstzerstörung westlicher Rationalität genauso zur Debatte wie die Tatsache, dass Wissenschaft nach wie vor eine überlegene Form der vernünftigen Weltdeutung darstellt.

From Sentiment to Ritual: A Study of Zhu Xi's Discourse on Ritual and Principle Zhu Xi ... has been consistently identified as a leading figure in the Neo-Confucian movement. However, when examined from the perspective of autonomous ethics, the Zhu Xi school has been criticized because of its theoretical supposition that the mind and nature are binary. Although scholars have attempted to explain and defend the moral practices of the Zhu Xi school, the concern of heteronomy remains in its ethics since, according to Zhu, the mind is categorized as qi .... However, once we think outside the frame of Western ethics and re-examine Zhu's position within the context of Confucian ritual discourse, we can more clearly discern its problematic regarding the structure of lixue .... This new perspective provides evidence regarding the autonomy of ritual practice, and it should therefore be viewed as a breakthrough in the intellectual history of Chinese ritual philosophy. This article contends that Zhu Xi's theory of self-cultivation is deeply connected to his conception of ritual. The lexical concepts within Zhu's theoretical system, including mind (xin nature (xing '...), sentiment (qing ...), principle (li ...), and reverence (jing ...) should therefore be viewed from this perspective in order to develop a more thorough understanding of his thought. Seit geraumer Zeit gilt das Primat zweckrationalen Denkens als prägend innerhalb der westlichen Gesellschaften und es wird vor seinen Folgen im Kontext sozialen Handelns gewarnt. In der Diskussion wird oftmals die Frage nach den Gründen für diese Entwicklung zu Gunsten einer Skizze der Folgen vernachlässigt, was eine Problemanalyse erschwert. In diesem Artikel werden die Gründe für das Primat der Zweckrationalität ideengeschichtlich aufgezeigt und dessen Wirkmächtigkeit systematisch auf seine inhärente Totalisierungs- und Hegemonietendenz zurückgeführt. Die Kritik an dieser Tendenz erfolgt mit Verweis auf anerkennungstheoretische Prinzipien sowie unter Anwendung der phänomenologischen Methode, mittels derer sozialphilosophisch und personalethisch die aktuell fragwürdigen Folgen dieser Entwicklung skizziert werden. Zentrale These ist, dass das zweckrationale Denken zu einem fast ausschließlich instrumentellen, da identifizierenden Umgang mit sich selbst und anderen führt, was wechselseitige Anerkennung und wirklich soziales Handeln verunmöglicht. Plädiert wird für ein Paradigma des menschlichen Miteinanders, das dem Primat der Anerkennung und dem Würdeanspruch in sozialen Praktiken Genüge tun kann.

Was den Corona-Schock so tief macht, ist die narzisstische Kränkung, dass eine archaische Naturgewalt, die man im Hochtechnologiezeitalter überwunden glaubte, weltweit zurückkehrt. Die Verschwörungsmythen um Corona verleugnen diese Kränkung. Sie wollen von unnötiger Angst befreien, indem sie macht- und geldgierige Panikmacher entlarven. Aber sie sind selbst angstbesetzt. Dieser Aufsatz plädiert dafür, eine theologische Grundhaltung für die Religionspädagogik zu erproben, ‚fundamentaltheologischer Habitus‘ genannt, die von inneren theologischen Autoritäten absieht, und durch Zeugnis und Vernunft für den Glauben argumentiert und in der Person des/der Lehrer/s/in bezeugt. Damit soll vor allem die Kompetenz der SchülerInnen gestärkt werden, sich im weltanschaulichen Pluralismus vernünftig prüfend zu entwickeln. Understanding, reasoning and realizing the word of the gospel in our own life The article advocates a theological attitude in the field of Catholic Religious Education, called ‘fundamental theological habitus’, which desists from inner theological authorities and argues for Faith through testimonial and ratio, with the teacher as a testimony for it. Thus, the students competence for critical questioning and development within the pluralism of Weltanschauungen shall be strengthened.

Im Rahmen der wissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen über Gott und das Nicht-Göttliche werden Philosophie und Theologie im Regelfall gesondert unterrichtet. Das kann, je nach kultureller Tradition, an voneinander gänzlich unabhängigen Einrichtungen geschehen oder auch an verschiedenen Fakultäten derselben Universität. Schon immer hat es Personen gegeben, die sich als Grenzgänger zwischen beiden Disziplinen verstanden haben. Dieser Beitrag beginnt mit dem Befund, daß philosophische Veröffentlichungen jüngerer Zeit nicht selten traditionell theologische Themen behandeln. Nach einer Skizze der Vorgeschichte dieses Phänomens im 20. und bereits im 19. Jahrhundert (Hegel, Schelling) fragt er, wie der Befund zu bewerten ist. Philosophie und Theologie werden in ihrem Selbstverständnis und durch die Außenperspektive der jeweils anderen Disziplin charakterisiert, bevor die skizzierte, auf Thomas von Aquin zurückgehende Verhältnisbestimmung in Frage gestellt wird. Es kommen, nach einer weiteren Vorgeschichte aus dem 19. Jahrhundert (Fichte), Karl Rahner und Lorenz B. Puntel mit ihrer Sicht zum Thema zu Wort. Die angestellten Überlegungen münden in ein Fazit zur Frage, was es heißt, als Philosoph Theologisches zu denken, und was dies für das Verhältnis der beiden Disziplinen bedeutet.

Gerechtigkeit ist eine der Voraussetzungen für Nachhaltigkeit. Eine der wichtigsten Aufgaben der Bildung ist deshalb die Vermittlung von Gerechtigkeitsstandards. Was aber ist Gerechtigkeit? Unter Bezugnahme auf philosophische Betrachtungen sowie auf Forschungsergebnisse aus Soziologie, Sozialpsychologie und Neurobiologie kommt die vorliegende Untersuchung zu dem Ergebnis, das Gerechtigkeit eine Synthese aus Verstand, Vernunft und Gefühl ist, die sich auf die Freiheitsbeschränkung individuellen Handelns bezieht. Während uns Verstand und Vernunft abstrakt bleiben, geht der eigentliche Handlungsimpuls vom Gefühl aus. In den aktuellen Bildungszielen spielen Gefühle als motivationale Grundlage gerechten Handelns praktisch keine Rolle. Dem gegenüber dominiert die Ausbildung instrumentellen Verstandes. Welche fatalen Folgen eine Überbetonung der Verstandesbildung gegenüber Vernunft und Gefühl hat, zeigen die Arbeiten der Aufklärungskritik. Die Verfasser kommen zu dem Schluss, dass Bildung, die dem Leitbild der Nachhaltigkeit gerecht wird, verstärkt auf Vernunft und Gefühl setzen sollte.“If we do not act, millions of people will suffer.” The relationship between sustainability, justice and education. Justice is a precondition for sustainability. Therefore one of the most important tasks of education is the communication of standards of justice. But what is meant by justice? With regard to philosophical reflections as well as results of the latest research in the fields of sociology, social psychology and neurobiology, this paper concludes that justice is a synthesis of understanding, reason and compassion. This synthesis refers to the restriction of freedom of individual action. Whereas our understanding and reason remains abstract, the real impulse of action comes from compassion. Compassion as a motivational basis plays no role in current educational goals. In contrast education is dominated by instrumental understanding. The fatal consequences of overemphasizing education of understanding versus reason and compassion can be seen in works on the criticism of enlightenment. The authors of this paper conclude that education, which meets the model of sustainability, must emphasize reason and compassion.

Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird am Material des Kantischen Textes ein Versuch unternommen, zu zeigen, dass die 2- und 3-gliedrigen logischen Strukturen — nach Kant Verstand- und Vernunftschlüsse — logische komplexe propositionale Einheiten (Gebilde) sind, deren manchmal zahlreiche sekundäre Propositionen, d. h. die nach Kant keine Sätze sind, sich um den logisch-strukturellen Kern dieser Schlüsse gruppieren, so dass sie eigentlich als Formen der Textualität des Kantischen Diskurses überhaupt angesehen werden können. Außerdem tragen sie dazu bei, dem Kantischen Diskurs assertorisch- bzw. apodiktisch-logische Modalität zu verleihen.
