The analysis of the metal structure of a greenhouse intended for the production of vegetables, using vertical agriculture technology, is carried out in the present work. The greenhouse will be installed in "San Juan Raboso" Community, belonging to Izúcar de Matamoros Municipality, State of Puebla, Mexico, in response to the community need of food and as part of the strategic project developed by the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Service in Science, Nature, Society and Culture (CIISCINASyC). The analysis of the metal structure of the greenhouse was carried out applying the Finite Element Method. The objective of the work was to evaluate the resistance capacity and functionality of the greenhouse, by determining the load system that acts on the greenhouse, as well as the distribution of stresses and displacements in the structure. In Mexico, there is an ecological deterioration caused in part by the inadequate management of natural resources. In order to collaborate in the reduction of this ecological deterioration in the soils and the environment, the objective of the work was to design an accessible vermicompost screening machine that is adaptable to the needs and requirements of small producers of this organic fertilizer in the country, so the calculation was made for the design of the main systems of the machine that are the fertilizer dosing system, the screening system and the power transmission system, developing the deployment of the QFD quality function that allows considering the demands and requirements to be satisfied, in the generation and selection of concepts and / or proposals for design, thereby improving the quality of the design. A vermicompost screening machine was designed which will make it possible to speed up and improve the working conditions in the production of this compost, thus obtaining a production of screened compost greater than that achieved manually. On an international scale, the broadcast distribution of mineral fertilizers is carried out fundamentally with the use of centrifugal disk spreaders with blades, due to their high distribution capacity and their constructional and operational simplicity. In spite of these advantages, a high demand in the correct selection of the parameters of the working process of these organs is required, to guarantee a high uniformity of fertilizer distribution in the field and consequently, the corresponding productive requisites. A model to determine the characteristics of the movement of the fertilizer particles on the spreading disk with inclined blades in relation to the radial direction is presented in this work. The analysis was carried out by obtaining the differential equation of the dynamics of a particle's motion by applying the laws of classical Newtonian mechanics. The equations obtained from the solution of the differential equation of motion were programmed using the Mathcad software, version 2000 Professional. It allowed evaluating the model with specific data and obtaining the output speed and angle of the fertilizer based on parameters of input such as: inclination angle of blades, coefficient of friction between the fertilizer and the disk and blades material, dimensions and rotation speed of the disk and coordinates of the zone of the fertilizer fall from the mouth of the hopper. The objective of the research was to compare the energy cost of the main mechanized agricultural operations, emphasizing the tillage/seeding and quantify their possible saving using the Conservation System (no till with cover), in relation to the Conventional System, starting from the hypothesis that it is possible to reduce the energy cost by more than 10% in agricultural machinery operation in corn (Zea mays L.),) cultivation of Los Riecitos Company in Freites Municipality, Anzoátegui State. In the experimental design, an analysis of variance was used to determine the existence of significant differences or not between the population means of each variable and the treatments applied. For the determination of energy and operating cost, the program "Energy and Operation Costs" was used. Bulk density, moisture and soil resistance, as well as fuel consumption, energy costs and operating costs were studied in each experimental unit. It is concluded that there are no significant differences in bulk density, moisture and soil resistance in the studied depths. Physical-mechanical characteristics of the tested plots of soils do not interfere in the application of the treatments. The system with the lowest energy cost, operating costs and fuel consumption, with an average value of 28.9 L•ha-1, was that of Conservation. The technology used in the Conservation System meant a saving of labor, by investing less time (4 h•ha-1) of machinery use. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
