Abstract

An isolated dilatation of the cystic duct (type VI choledochal cyst (CDC)) is extremely rare with only 21 cases reported in the world literature until now. There is only one case of in situ gall bladder cancer (GBC) reported in association with type VI CDC in the literature. Abstract

Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) in a case of situs inversus totalis (SIT) is a rare occurrence with only one case being reported until now in the literature. SIT presents a technical challenge for the operating surgeon in view of the reversed anatomy hence the operating surgeon should orient himself of the altered anatomy of SIT before contemplating surgery. To the best of our knowledge, spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy in a patient of SPN with SIT has not been reported until now.
